Chapter 117
“Lucian, Roderick was still recovering from his injury, so speak your mind…”
Lucian let out a sigh.
“This marriage was arranged by your mother. It was the last thing she cared about before she died. If you act out at this time, you will break your mother’s heart!”
Roderick’s body shook, his clenched fist trembling slightly.
Memories from the past came flooding back like a tide, and in the end, he closed his eyes and reluctantly followed his father downstairs.
In the living room downstairs, Roderick, Marvin, and Caroline quickly greeted each other.
Caroline looked at the bandage on Roderick’s arm, with a concerned expression on her face.
“Roderick, how’s the wound healing? Be careful not to get it wet, so it doesn’t get infected.”
Marvin also gave him a pat on the shoulder.
“Young people shouldn’t work too hard, they should take care of their bodies.”
After exchanging a few greetings, Marvin smiled and made a suggestion.
“I heard Andie and the Shillingford family just had their engagement

party today, so the wedding should be coming soon.”
“Why don’t we all get together and have a party, let Roderick and Matilda, Andrea and Quinn, the four of them celebrate together, good things come in pairs!”
Lucian and Scarlett locked eyes.
“Sounds good, the siblings have always been close, it’ll be fun to do it together. We’ll discuss with the Shillingford family another day.”
Just as everyone was happily discussing the details of the wedding, Roderick suddenly stood up.
“What’s wrong, Roderick?”
Scarlett asked nervously.
He didn’t say a word, turned around and walked quickly to the door, slammed the door shut with a bang.
Everyone looked at the tightly closed door, and for a moment, they couldn’t react.
“Roderick!”
Lucian was so angry that his face turned purple.
“This ungrateful child! He’s completely out of line!”
Scarlett quickly went up to comfort her husband, while turning to Matilda’s parents with a smile.
“Mr. Turner, I’m really sorry, Roderick… he hasn’t been feeling well lately, and his mind has been a bit confused. Please don’t take it to heart.”

She said, then whispered to comfort Lucian.
“Lucian, calm down.”
Caroline’s smile was a bit forced, but quickly returned to normal.
“No worries, young people are impatient, we can understand.”
Marvin also smiled and tried to smooth things over.
“Family is family, no need to worry about these things.”
At the same time, on the other side.
Quinn and Andrea had just finished sending off the guests and hadn’t left the venue yet.
Andrea stared at the trending topic on her phone screen, absentmindedly rubbing the edge of her phone.
The engagement banquet video has already reached over ten million views, and the comments section is filled with discussions about her and Quinn.
Some said they were talented and beautiful, while others marveled at the luxurious marriage between wealthy families.
She clutched her phone and found Quinn.
“Quinn, let’s take down the video of the engagement party.”
The smile at the corner of Quinn’s lips faded a bit, but he still maintained a gentle tone.
“Why withdraw? Isn’t it good to have everyone’s blessing?”
He looked at Andrea’s face, with a hint of subtle curiosity in his eyes.

Andrea shook her head.
“The Shillingford family was doing business, but they were getting too. much attention, you know, too much hype can attract unwanted attention…”
“If this continues, it’s not good for you or the Shillingford family.”
Feeling her concern in her tone, Quinn’s expression softened and he gently rubbed her head.
“Don’t worry, everything will be fine. I’m here, I can handle it.”
