Part 45
The long-awaited happy day is coming soon. All preparations have been completed including the altar where the sacred vows will be made.
Helen sits on the roof of Lalita's luxurious mansion. It's nice to live in Werewolf territory. Tonight Helen will not sleep. She wanted to enjoy as much time as possible in that place accompanied by the white light of the moon and the twinkling stars. Tomorrow is an important day. Watching Her best friend tie the knot on the altar. A happy day that would be so perfect and she was in it.
Right now maybe Lalita is nervous considering that tomorrow is her wedding day. But having Elena beside her was able to provide peace. Instead of teasing Lalita, who is not her hobby at all, Helen prefers to be alone in high places. Enjoy the serenity.
"What are you doing here alone?"
The normally cold and intimidating voice turned slightly warm. However, it made Helen's vigilance increase sharply. Erik chuckled before walking over to Helen who had put herself on alert.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Come sit beside me." Erik patted the spot next to him.
"What are you doing here, Your Majesty?" asked Helen with the emphasis on her last two words.
"Attending the Alpha King's wedding, of course. Also asking you to return to Vampire Empire," said Erik lightly.
"Then kill me on the cross? And you give up on getting my best friend?" Helen glared at Erik. She wouldn't trust someone cruel and full of intrigue like Erik, but somehow inside her heart Helen still loved him.
In contrast to Helen who was tense, Erik thought this conversation was a casual talk between master and worker.
"Give up? I think so. She has found her happiness. If I snatch her Nyx will be mad at me. If I try, I'm sure my efforts are in vain. I have to learn to let go because not all the prey will be caught. As for you, if you don't come back, mother- you..."
"Enough!" Helen cut off Erik's words then knelt down.
"Do anything to me as long as you don't hurt my mother." Helen's defenses crumble. She chose death rather than sacrifice the people who really loved her. The only family in this world.
"Sit down." Erik's orders were flat which were obeyed by Helen.
"I didn't come here to take anyone's life like I used to do. Do you think I'm that cruel to think I'd kill your mother? You know we and Helen. We both have one precious person. You love your mother as much as I love my mother, Queen Rachel. Heh, I came because of the invitation letter anyway."
Erik threw a dress that was neatly wrapped and a red paper which was an invitation.
"Tomorrow you will accompany me to the party. So look your best."
Erik smiled faintly before disappearing leaving a few flying crow feathers.

"Let us go home." whispered Sean.
"Go ahead, I'll catch up in a moment."
"Okay, but don't take too long." before leaving Sean kissed Lalita's forehead. A painful sight for the owner of the flaming ruby irises behind the bushes.
"Come out Erik." cried Lalita.
Without waiting for the second call, Erik immediately appeared in front of Lalita with his irises still burning.
"You see?" asked Lalita with a sarcastic look.
"I will never give up on getting you." Erik was adamant.
"That means you're a selfish creature. You're the most selfish creature in this world." Lalita looked at Erik flatly. From the start he knew Erik was lurking in the bushes during the meeting.
"The Goddess did not destined me for you. I was created for Sean Anderson. I love him sincerely. We are mate. So don't try to separate us."
"Destiny? I wrote my own destiny." challenged Erik still with high confidence.
"If I were with you what power would you have to protect this world?" Lalita asked, which instantly made Erik mute.
"The Goddess will withdraw her bounty from you. Then what will you do when your people are in danger? Erect not only your people but all nations."
"From the beginning I didn't love you, so don't ever hope that there is actually someone..."
Erik's black eyes as dark as night opened. The flash of events a few days ago reappeared. For the umpteenth time, the memory fragments came back to haunt him like a warning so that he would immediately let go of the feeling that was so suffocating.
The sun has long emerged from its bed. The wedding should be starting soon. Erik had to hurry. At least his blind love didn't hurt her. But his sincere love, letting go, is able to make the girl who has entered his heart happy, even though it's not with him.
***
In a room that was so big and luxurious, a girl was seen wearing a plain white dress with a little lace that looked so charming and elegant. Her naturally beautiful face looks even more beautiful with natural makeup that makes her even more alluring.
"Look how pretty that girl is." Liliana pointed at the mirror which reflected the beautiful girl sitting in front of her.
Lalita smiled faintly then stood up and hugged her mother tightly. Liliana hugged her beloved daughter who was now fully grown too. Clear crystals slid down Liliana's cheeks holding back her emotion. Time seems to spin so fast. It felt like only yesterday that Liliana was cuddling a baby girl who was fast asleep. Now this tiny baby who is so sweet and innocent has grown into a beautiful girl who is ready to be married.
"Mom don't cry." Lalita gently wiped her mother's tears with a sweet, charming smile. Liliana smiled while stroking Lalita's cheek gently until three girls suddenly entered.
"Lita, congratulations." said Erika, who was wearing a light purple dress with roses and ribbons as decoration.Luna you look very beautiful," said Shakira.
"I hope you're shaking with nervousness. I guess I was wrong." teased Ariella who wore a dress similar to Shakira because they would be bridesmaids. Occasionally they laughed together until it didn't feel like some time had passed.
A few moments later the door was knocked again showing Daniel who was ready to take Lalita to the wedding altar.
"This time." there was a happy smile that was printed sweetly on Daniel's firm jaw.
Lalita walked calmly even though she occasionally trembled from nervousness. It didn't take long for Lalita to catch her breath and regain her composure when they would soon meet the invited guests.
Sean was waiting at the wedding altar with Sky and Eros as groomsman. There is no flat and cold expression. There was only a handsome face with a faint smile hidden.
When Lalita was about to go up to the altar, Sean stretched out his hand swiftly to help his partner up the altar where a sacred promise was about to be made.
The Elder started the ritual with wisdom as did the guests for those present. Everything dissolves in word for word that will bind two people in the sacred bond of marriage. When the ritual was finished and the ring was pinned, Sean kissed Lalita on the lips. A gentle light kiss followed by the cheers of the invited guests who were also happy.
Liliana couldn't hold back her emotions as evidenced by the tears of joy that had melted earlier.
"I love you, for now, forever and forever." whispered Sean.
"Me too, My Cold Alpha."
Sean hugged Lalita again tightly to his chest. In that beautiful moment, Lalita accidentally saw another sight that was no less pleasant. Erik held Helen's hand with a faint smile. They were wearing the same pair of clothes and Helen looked awkward in him. A small smile appeared on Lalita's lips. Erik will forget her and Helen will find her happiness.
***
"Congratulations on your wedding Alpha." said Xander who shook Sean's hand.
"Thanks Alpha." replied Sean who had returned to normal, cold and flat.
"Happy Lalita." Luna Saras hugged Lalita tightly. Needed the same when he left the Silver Moon Pack. Her favorite hug that will never change.
"Thank You." Lalita smiled happily, but soon the smile turned into an awkward smile with her waist tightly squeezed so possessively after hugging Luna Saras.
"If Brother Sean can't take care of Sister Lalita then just give Sister Lalita to me. I will definitely take good care of her." said Alvaro who stood between his father and mother.
With an expression that was no less flat than Sean's, the eight year old boy succeeded in making Sean's flat face a little cloudy. In contrast to Lalita who actually laughed out loud while Alvaro's parents tried their best to hold back their laughter.
Elena came with Johanna and several wizards who had trained with Lalita before. Elena looked beautiful in a simple but elegant gold lace dress. Her brilliant Wizard aura brought positive vibes among the Wizards present.
"Congratulations to you Lalita." said Johanna on behalf of the others.
"Thank you, Johanna." Unexpectedly Johanna hugged Lalita tightly which Lalita replied warmly too.
After greeting Johanna and the other wizards, Elena was left standing where she was. Her naturally white face looked slightly blushed with a faint smile on her pretty face.
"Aren't you going to hug me too?" asked Lalita who had spread her hands. Elena's laughter broke out and then rushed to hug Lalita very tightly.
"Of course I want to. I'm so excited to see you. I really want to take you back to Hallelau." both laughed again. But their laughter was interrupted by Sean's muffled growl which drew a little grunt from Elena.
"Listen Alpha, if you hurt my best friend whether intentionally or not I will turn you into a fat cat. Remember that carefully." Elena snorted before sauntering away.
Next up is Erik and Helen. The two of them looked harmonious in an all-black and gold dress that looked so charming and elegant.
"Congratulations on your wedding, Lalita." said Erik smiling sincerely as he stretched out his hand to shake Lalita's hand but Sean greeted first with a little more emphasis when these two hands clasped together.
"Do not even try." whispered Sean with a thin smile that seemed cynical.
"Relax a little Alpha, I already have one beside me anyway." what Erik meant was Helen who now looked nervous with blushing cheeks.
"After us you guys follow huh?" guessed Lalita which made Helen even more embarrassed.
Idly, Erik embraced Helen with a confident smile.
"Absolutely. And you should come."
Helen was even more clumsy while Lalita could only laugh at her vampire friend. At least he knows that apart from himself being happy, there is another happiness that comes with it.
***
It doesn't feel like time flies so fast. The sun had long since set letting the night goddess reign in the night sky. The moon's white light seeps in through the clear glass window of the room without curtains. The night wind blows gently, moving the leaves which rub against each other to form a soft rhythm, different from Lalita's heartbeat, which is now erratic.
Moments later, the bathroom door creaked open. Sean looked fresher after washing himself with disheveled black hair that was still slightly damp, which left a cool impression on this cold man.
"Waiting for me?" asked Sean who realized that Lalita's gaze was fixed on him for a few moments without blinking.
"Ah, well... uhmm... I mean no." Lalita replied, looking down in shame.
Sean smiled faintly. For some reason seeing his mate embarrassed made him even more exasperated at his mate. After throwing the towel in any direction, Sean approached Lalita and then raised his chin so that their eyes were level.
"I'm happy if you wait for me. Without needing to answer me, I already know what your answer is." without waiting for a response from Lalita, Sean immediately opened Lalita's mouth with a deep and long soft kiss. After kissing for a long time, Sean finally chose to stop it for a moment, letting their lungs work hard to collect oxygen. Lalita's cheeks were even red now. But unfortunately Sean couldn't see it because the light in the room was so dim with moonlight as the light.
"We'll do it tonight." Sean firmly did not want to be denied.
"Tonight?" Lalita repeated in disbelief.
"That's right, sooner or later this night will come. Prepare to bond with me even more tightly, My Queen."
"I am yours My Alpha."
Don't imagine what they are doing that is clear tonight will be the longest night of their lives.
