Chapter 28

"I promise I'll bring him back, that's for sure," Sean looked at Daniel with resolute determination. You could see it in his serious eyes.

"I take you at your word."

Stefan came to his senses when he heard a brave howl nearby. A gray wolf sadistically killed the remaining warriors, then looked at Stefan with golden eyes that radiated a wild aura.

What are you doing? Get up! Remember your promise to me and my daughter,' Werren roared sharply.

Stefan slowly stood up. He ignored the pain in his whole body. Now there was only a black wolf with sharp golden eyes, looking as vicious as a predator. The wounds on his body closed slowly but surely. The effects of the wolf's poison seemed to be fading. The Alpha stood up straight and prepared to take more lives.

In front of the large mirror in his room, Sean looked into the mirror and watched his curves. Several bruises seemed to adorn several parts of Sean's body, which was so perfect with shirtless muscles from routine training that made women hot.

What doesn't Sean Anderson have? Everything. Handsome face, ideal body, position and power. But it all seemed meaningless. Now his life feels empty without passion. His ambition to conquer most of the pack has been fulfilled. It has been less than two months since his reign as Alpha King began. Still, the loss of a mate was beyond Sean's expectations in realizing his ambition. Almost a month ago, his mate left.

Sean does not deny that a mate is a complementary element in a werewolf that is so important. Sean and Lalita share a mate bond. Slowly their bond grows stronger as time passes. When Sean realizes that his bond with Lalita is so strong, they drift apart. The feeling that is slowly growing is now tortured by the longing that is turbulent.

Honestly, Sean misses Lalita, the way his girl smiles and laughs. Sean wanted to see her again. Now it's not only him who is tormented, but also Stefan, his wolf side.

Find my mate quickly! I'm going crazy being separated from her all the time,' Stefan whined impatiently.

I'll look for him myself, and we'll find him for sure. Sean replied firmly.

Sean prepares to look for Lalita, wearing his favorite black leather jacket. It is not a quiet night every time Lalita is not by her side. The worry is so unbearable. I don't know how the girl is now. That is why Sean wants to find Lalita as soon as possible. When he opened the bedroom door, Sean was almost surprised to see Sky standing at the door.

"Ugh, what are you doing here?"Sean asked with a mixture of surprise and annoyance.

"Where are you going?" Sky asked back with an unusually serious face that was friendly and full of a silly sense of humor.

"To look for Lilita," Sean replied and started to walk away before Sky could stop him.

"We just won the great war two days ago. There are more important things for the pack to do," Sky said, trying to catch up with her best friend's wide stride.

"You mean finding your Luna isn't that important," Sean's voice parroted Sky for a moment.

"I didn't mean that."

"Listen," Sean held Sky's shoulders."Lalita's disappearance is my fault. As an Alpha, I am nothing without Luna. I am the Alpha who failed to protect my own mate. So I must go and find your Luna. While I'm away, I need someone I trust to take care of all the pack's affairs while I'm gone, and I'll leave that task to you. That's your job as Beta. Take care of this pack while I'm gone."

"But Sean."

"That's an order," Sean struck with his Alpha tone.

"There are still many warriors who can help you," Sky looked sadly at both the Alpha and her best friend.

"Only my trusted warriors and the Silver Moon pack know of my loss. It will be very dangerous if news of Luna Eclipse Pack's disappearance gets out."

CHECKMATE.

The sky is silent in a thousand languages. All he can do is obey his Alpha's orders while fulfilling his duties as a Beta.

"Good," Sky lowered his head with a hand on his chest.

Sean smiled slightly before he left. A simple smile, rarely seen on Sean's handsome, perfectly sculpted face.

Wait for me, Lalita," Sean murmured before switching shifts with Stefan, who immediately entered the dense forest. The door creaked open as Lalita looked at the stars in the night sky behind the glass wall. Lalita didn't look at all. Maybe it was just the waitress delivering the food. She wouldn't be able to escape even if the vampire in front of her was just a servant, because a servant of Erik Night was no ordinary servant.

"Miss, the big master wants to ask you out."

"So," Lalita said coldly.

Several maids looked at each other, "Our master has prepared clothes and would like to ask you out, just have a normal dinner."

"Why don't you just eat here, I'm not just a pet? Tell your masters if I don't want to," Lalita replied, still looking up at the sky.

"I forced Wolfrein," said Erik, who suddenly stood in the doorway.

"My name isn't Wolfren!" Lalita's sneer was sharp.

"Besides, I don't know your name because you didn't tell me," Erik said, coming closer and standing in front of Lalita.

"Why don't you ask?"

"Good idea. What's your name, sweetheart?" Erik brought his face close to Lalita's with one hand holding his chin.

"Why silent, if you don't want to answer, I can read your mind to know the answer."

"Just try!" Lalita roughly removed Erik's hand from his chin while looking at the crown prince full of emotion. Meanwhile, Erik was a bit surprised because he couldn't read Lalita's mind at all.

"Wild animal. But that's okay, I like it. Like it or not, you will still come out and serve me," Erik walked towards the exit while snapping his fingers.

"Chain him up and dress him the way I want him," he ordered the servants there.

With alacrity, two maids immediately blocked Lalita's movements while one maid began to chain Lalita's hands and feet. Lalita tried to resist, but the maids were much colder and stronger than she thought.

"Get off me! You can't do this to me! Get off!" Lalita yelled at Erik, who completely ignored her as he walked towards the door and then closed it with a vicious grin that was horribly etched on his handsome face.

A sparkling white dress with pretty lace all around. Long hair braided into a bun, hairpins shaped like blue roses, and clear glass shoes no less beautiful.

But what should have been a perfect appearance looked pitiful because of the chains that bound the girl wearing the dress. Her hands and feet, not even missing her neck, were also bound with cold black iron.

Lalita gloomily studied her appearance in the mirror. But her gaze turned cold and hateful as several maids returned to escort her to Erik.

After descending the spiral staircase, Lalita arrived at the exit of the mansion where Erik was waiting for her. Erik was wearing a white coat with blue roses in his pocket. Erik's eyes were different when he looked at Lalita tonight, like a crystal that had regained its luster.

"Very beautiful," Erik praised as he gently kissed the back of Lalita's hand. While Lalita herself looked at Erik with disgust.
