Chapter 162 I Desired A Daughter

Chapter 162 I Desired A Daughter
SEBASTIAN

“Mother kept insisting I bring this. She’s something else, right?” Bianca said, smiling as she arranged all the food packs inside the freezer. “This is for Alma. Mother made it specially for her because she’s pregnant."

She has changed a lot. She seems quite calm.

“How are you feeling lately?” I asked, just to know how she was feeling toward Luis. Because she had called last time just to ask me how Luis was doing. It was clear she still had feelings for him.

She chuckled softly. "I really wanted to give my child a complete home. While growing up, I was craving a father, and now I’m going to give the same pattern to my child.”
My chest tightened as I lowered my gaze. We never had a good father, and it hurts me to see the same thing happening to her child. He or she will have the blood of that bastard.
“Alma is lucky to have ended up with you. I was once jealous of her. I believe she had the best man. I decided to snatch him away from her, and now she got the best of all men. The universe is so fair to her,” she said, smiling bitterly as tears slipped down her cheeks.
I know she made a mistake, but still, I can’t help but feel sad by her words.
“I will give your child my name, and you are going to continue your school. I hope you learn from your mistakes and choose a good man for yourself,” I said. Another tear burst from her, and I pulled her into a hug, gently patting her back.
Suddenly, Alma stepped into the kitchen.
“Oh, sorry,” she said, trying to leave. Her expression looked as if she had interrupted something.
“Alma, it’s fine. What do you want?” I said, and she paused. Bianca suddenly pulled out, sniffing as she wiped her tears.
“Alma, you are here,” she said to Alma, and Alma nodded.
I could see the awkwardness in their stares. Sure, they have some history—the red-haired woman, my husband’s mistress.
“Sebastian, Aunt Chloe and Elijah are about to leave,” she said softly, avoiding our gaze.
My brow furrowed in confusion. Is she jealous of Bianca?
No, that can’t be possible.
“I will ask them to drive me to the Flores estate. Lady Flores is leaving next week, and we are supposed to go back together, so it’s advisable I stay with her,” Bianca said quickly, as if feeling she might be a burden.
“It’s fine, Binks… Bianca. Sebastian is your brother. You both can stay together. I’m fine with it,” Alma said, her voice trembling.
I couldn’t help but chuckle. She’s such a cute woman.
“That was my plan all along, Alma. I will be on my way,” Bianca said as she gave me a quick hug. I shifted my gaze to Alma. She swallowed hard and looked away.
No, this is serious. We are siblings, for goodness sake.

“Take care of yourself,” Bianca said to me and walked past Alma. As they both grinned awkwardly.

A thick silence settled between Alma and me as I rubbed my forehead, not sparing her a glance. I knew she was staring.
“My father wants to see you,” she blurted out.
And my heart skipped. Her father. Damn it, that man is something else. He looks like a military man.
I exhaled and turned to her. “Why? Did he want something?”
She shrugged her shoulders and left. I took a deep breath and followed behind.
He was sitting in the sitting room with Elijah and Chloe. The little boy was already asleep on his mother’s arm.
“Sebastian, you are back already,” Chloe grinned happily, and I nodded and went to sit closer to Alma.
Her father instantly cleared his throat. My eyes shifted to him, and he gestured for me to sit on the other empty sofa.

I smiled and did.

“Brother, you won’t believe it. Sebastian was once our Jenny’s boyfriend, and now he’s with our Nina. The universe really wanted him in our family,” Chloe said happily.
I shut my eyes. Damn it, why would she say it now? This man already seems to dislike me for getting his daughter pregnant before marrying her, and now she mentioned I also dated his deceased daughter.
“What did you just say? He was Jenny’s boyfriend? Does Jenny have a boyfriend?” he asked in shock.
“No, she was my high school classmate, and we usually read together,” I tried to explain.

Jenny agreed to be my girlfriend, but we never indulged in any intimate moments except hugs. She wanted to keep her virginity until marriage. I was okay with that because I truly wanted to marry her.

"You are also involved in my daughter’s death,” the man snapped.
My heart stopped.
“No, no, you misunderstood, Uncle, brother,” Chloe and Elijah echoed in unison.
“Dad, he wasn’t involved. When I met Sebastian, he didn’t even know my relationship with Jenny. He has always wanted to get justice for her. He became a gynecologist because he doesn’t want anyone to end up like Jenny. He’s never like Luis,” Alma explained.
I stared at her. A smile spread across my lips.
Her father cast me a cold stare, and my smile faltered.
“When are you getting married to her?” He asked.
I leaned forward, clasping my hands together.
“I have made the necessary process in getting Luis to sign the divorce papers. I will be getting the papers from him tomorrow. After everything has been processed, I will proceed with the marriage preparation. A month’s preparation would be okay, right?” I asked, and he nodded slowly and looked away.

“I will also make sure Luis rots in jail,” Chloe snapped.

“I don’t want him to live a peaceful life. I want him to suffer until he wishes for death,” Alma’s father said coldly.

A thick silence settled between us as his words seemed to pierce hard into our hearts.

I think it’s time to let Jenny go; I will delete all her photos from my phone. I will take good care of her family in return.

“It’s almost lunch time. Let’s have lunch together,” I said, breaking the silence, and they all nodded.

“Dad, Sebastian is a good cook. You are going to like it,” Alma said, grinning, but the man wasn’t impressed.

So this is how overprotective fathers are toward their daughters. Despite anything, he would always have in mind that I got his daughter pregnant before marriage and, to make it worse, when she was married to another man.

“I’m not impressed,” he said flatly.

“He is impressed,” Chloe moved her mouth, saying it to me. I just got it, reading her lips.

I admire the man’s principles towards his daughter. At this point, I really desire to have a daughter too.

“Sebastian, I will help you,” Alma said happily as she got to her feet and instantly walked toward me and wrapped her arms around mine. I shifted my gaze to her father.
He was burning in fury.
I couldn’t help but chuckle at his reaction as Alma and I made our way to the kitchen.
