**_WILSON's POV_**
I stood there, observing the couples in their loving moments, a warm smile spreading across my face. It was beautiful to see people so in love. I felt like a proud matchmaker, even though I had nothing to do with their relationships.
Just as I was about to leave, I heard my name being called. “Wilson!” The voice was faint, but it sent a shiver down my spine. I turned around, scanning the room for the person who had called out to me, but there was no one in sight.
I tried again, “Hello? Who's there?” But there was only silence.
A chill ran down my spine as I realized that something was off. It was as if someone were playing a prank on me, but the voice sounded so… familiar.
I quickly made my way out of the hall, my heart racing with anticipation. As I entered my room, I locked the door behind me and leaned against it, trying to catch my breath.
“What just happened?” I wondered, my mind racing with possibilities.
Suddenly, I heard a faint whisper in my ear. “Wilson…" This time, I knew I wasn't imagining things. Someone – or something – was trying to get my attention.
I spun around, but there was no one there. The whisper seemed to come from all around me, echoing off the walls.
I frantically searched my room, scattering clothes and books everywhere as I desperately tried to find my trusty magic equipment. I needed to locate the source of that mysterious voice, and I couldn't do it without my gear.
As I rummaged through my closet, I stumbled upon my favorite spell book, and suddenly, the room began to spin. I felt a strange sensation like I was being pulled through a vortex. The next thing I knew, I was standing in the middle of a tundra!
I looked around, disoriented, and realized I was completely alone. The icy winds howled, and snowflakes danced around me. I was not in my room anymore!
The ground beneath me felt strange like I was walking on air. I stumbled, and my feet felt like they were floating. It was as if I were upside-down, and my sense of gravity had gone haywire!
I grasped my magic rod tightly, using it to support myself. The familiar feel of the rod's energy coursing through me helped calm my nerves.
“Who's there?” I shouted into the void, my voice echoing off the ice. “Show yourself!”
The wind responded with an eerie whisper, “Welcome, Wilson…"
I spun around, trying to locate the source of the voice, but there was no one in sight. The whisper seemed to come from all directions, surrounding me with an unsettling presence.
Suddenly, the ice beneath me began to shift, and I stumbled. The rod's energy surged, helping me regain my balance.
“What's going on?” I demanded, my heart racing with anticipation. “Who's behind this?”
“Ahhhh!” I screamed, my eyes widening in terror as a headless man charged toward me with a steel sword. The ancient sword gleamed in the dim light, its blade etched with mysterious runes that seemed to pulse with malevolent energy.
My instincts kicked in, and I tried to use my magic to dodge the attack. I raised my hands, focusing my energy on creating a protective shield. But to my horror, nothing happened!
My mind went numb as I stared at my hands in disbelief. What was happening to my magic? Why wasn't it working?
The headless man closed in, his sword flashing in the light. I had no choice but to rely on my physical skills to survive. I dodged to the side, using my agility and quick reflexes to avoid the deadly blade.
The sword sliced through the air, mere inches from my face. I felt the wind from its passage, and my heart racing with fear. Who was this headless man, and how was he able to wield such a powerful sword?
I landed awkwardly, my feet scrambling for traction on the icy ground. The headless man recovered quickly, his sword flashing in the light as he charged toward me again.
I raised my hands, trying to use my magic once more. But again, nothing happened. It was as if my magic had been drained from my body, leaving me defenseless against this supernatural foe.
Panic set in as I realized I had to rely solely on my physical skills to survive. I gritted my teeth, focusing on my training and experience. I had to use every trick in the book to take down this headless man and escape alive.
The headless man attacked again, his sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. I dodged and weaved, using every ounce of skill and agility to avoid the blade.
But I knew I couldn't keep this up for much longer. The headless man was relentless, driven by a malevolent force that seemed to give him endless strength and endurance.
I needed a new plan, and fast. I scanned my surroundings, looking for anything that could give me an edge. That's when I spotted it — a glowing crystal nestled in the ice nearby.
Without hesitation, I grabbed the crystal, hoping its energy could restore my magic. The headless man sensed my move and swung his sword in a wide arc, trying to cut me off.
I dodged the blade by mere inches, my heart racing with fear. But I managed to snag the crystal, feeling its energy coursing through my veins.
My magic began to stir, responding to the crystal's power. I raised my hands, and a blast of energy shot out, striking the headless man with incredible force.
The headless man stumbled back, his sword flying from his grasp. I took advantage of the reprieve, charging toward him with a fierce determination.
As I stood frozen in terror, I caught sight of a door behind the headless man. Without letting him notice, I tried to inch my way toward it, hoping to escape. But as I reached out to grab the handle, I realized it was inaccessible to me. The door seemed to be locked in place, as if by an invisible force.
The headless man let out a loud, menacing laugh, “Ah ah ah ah ah!” The sound sent shivers down my spine. I tried to use my magic to defend myself, but it did not affect him. My spells bounced right off as if he were immune to my powers.
Desperate to escape, I attempted to use my mind to communicate with Gibson, my trusted friend and ally. But to my horror, I realized that our mental connection was blocked. It was as if an unknown force were interfering with our telepathic link.
With time running out, I knew I had to think fast. I focused my energy on creating a portal, a magical gateway that could transport me to safety. As I worked on the spell, I pretended to attack the headless man, trying to distract him long enough for the portal to stabilize.
Finally, the portal was ready. I took a deep breath and stepped through the shimmering gateway. As I emerged on the other side, I found myself in the woods of the palace. The familiar surroundings were a welcome relief, but my breath was still heavy with fear.
