Beast hood
Killian
Still in that red haze, I walked, stalking my way out of the hall, pressing my nose closer to the ground and leaning forward on my arms. I raised my nose and found myself surrounded, but only too soon after, I caught her scent. I looked up, smiling at the pesky boys that dared stand between myself and my mate, and the growl softened as a warning.
“Alpha.”
I looked to find my beta and sworn brother, also one I, as the beast, considered a treacherous snake. I growled at him, keeping my eyes set on him. I wouldn’t kill him,no good in killing him, maim him just a little bit; he would heal in a couple of weeks.
He took one step back and then another. “Brother, if you’re still in there somewhere…” He raised a hand as though to calm my beast. I growled at him, pulling my thin lips over my teeth to let him see what would sink into his arm or side very soon.
“Fuck this,” he said.
He began to breathe fast, my nose picking up the scent of his beast coming to the surface of his skin as slowly he began to morph into his creature. No time, I thought as I swatted him out of the way just as he was fully shifting.
I pushed through the guards that had me surrounded, some of them already smart enough to shift into their beasts. I roared, swiping at some with little intent to kill, just to maim, while lifting my nose to the air to catch her scent.
I did catch it. By the time I reached it, I was swiped off my feet. I whipped around, snapping my teeth at the interloper, and found it to be none other than my sworn brother’s dark wolf. He growled, snapping his head in my direction.
'Stop this,' I heard his voice in my mind. 'This is no way to go about this. If the human sees you this way, she will fear you and possibly run away.'
I snapped again at him. 'Do not care,' I growled through gritted teeth and lunged at him. He was smaller than me, but that didn’t make him any less weak,he was still weaker than me by a long shot. However, he had me pinned against the wall nonetheless.
“Don’t make me hurt you, Alpha.”
I growled and pushed him aside, slipping across his chest and knowing that I drew blood. I bolted in the direction of her scent, keeping my nose to the ground until her scent became too strong in my nose. I looked up and found the source of it,my own guard captain, Alexander.
I growled at him as he stepped closer in his wolf form. He whined and pressed his nose toward the ground, turning his neck toward me,a sign of submission. But I did not care. The anger was too great. The jealousy was too great.
I lunged toward him, teeth and claws brandished, ready to draw blood, as I was tackled to the ground and was soon engaged in what the human would probably call a dog fight. I felt pain from several places as I was held down by multiple hands, multiple claws sinking into my legs.
I let out a roar and a howl, reaching inward for more strength and anger, and I found it. Fueled more by rage now, I tore those restraining me off, throwing them to goddess knows where, not caring when I heard several yelps and whimpers.
“Leave him.”
I turned at the sound of the voice. The elder stood with his hand still stretched and his head bowed.
“I think it would be wise to let the Alpha find what he’s looking for. But, Alpha, please, young Alexander is not the one you are searching for. If you are looking for your mate, she’s with my niece, and they are currently in the forest surrounding this great hall.”
'Please,' he added, in an act of submission I took all too well.
I raised my nose into the air and found her scent. I found it heading westward, let out a howl into the air, and followed after it. With each step toward the forest, her scent grew stronger in my nose, causing me to go into even more of a frenzy until I soon began to lose sight of sanity.
Sanity didn’t matter. Mate. Mate. Mate. My beast chanted over and over again until I felt the slow and small embers of my own mind sink further into the depravity of beasthood.
Mate. Mate. Mate. He chanted again as her scent grew even stronger in my nose. Instead of running on two legs, now I ran on all fours as I fully transformed into my beast , not the half-man, half-beast form I had that stood on two legs.
Now I was all beast. Now it was beyond reason, and now I could barely see more than a few feet in front of me as every other thing was dyed in red , the color of blood, the color of rage, the color of madness.
I soon heard soft female voices and then a gasp. Before long, I was before her , the human. She had pulled back the cloak on her head, her skin pale and the juicy, soft plum of her lips calling much attention from me. I felt my blood stir. Slowly, I turned back into my human form, but not with my consciousness , the consciousness of my beast.
I took slow steps toward her. The female standing beside her tried to interfere, but I swiped at her, sending her spiraling into a nearby tree. My human stood back slowly , fear and, at the same time, defiance in those fiery eyes of hers. No submission.
I growled at the challenge, yearning for her submission. She should bow her neck to me, bare it in hopes that I would mark her, but she did nothing of the sort , standing firm with her chest out and her chin jutted toward me as though she wished to speak to me, the beast, rather than the man.
“Stay away from me,” she said. But the words barely made sense to my ears. Her words, no, her voice , was just like a melody that called me even further, and soon I was before her. She raised her hand in defense, but I caught them quickly, using them to pin her against the tree we both stood in front of.
She opened her mouth to speak, say something snarky and whatnot, and that was when my sanity slipped back to me , just for a moment , allowing me to press my head down and capture her lips in a possessive kiss.
