NEVER CAN TELL
Should I just tell him?
‘Tell him that you're pregnant? Are you completely out of your mind? Have you thought about how he's going to feel or do you think he will ever agree for you to get rid of it or something?
Daniella listened to her subconscious mind and suddenly, her throat seemed to be stuffed with a bunch of soft acerbic. Her nose was choked and she felt like crying.
However, she shifted her gaze to her father’s face once more and let out a meaningful smile, and then began…
“It's Mandy, Dad,”
Liam’s full brows furrowed immediately but he didn't interrupt her as his gaze remained on her face.
“I'm just so happy for Mandy that I couldn't control my tears, Dad. My best friend has finally found a true love from Michael,”
Unbidden, Liam’s eyebrows shot up to his hairline as realization dawned on him.
“Michael loves Mandy so much… so much that I'm starting to become envious of them and to think that I was never in support of their togetherness from the beginning hurts me deeply, Dad. What if I had successfully chased Michael away from Mandy, would she still have found such genuine love?”
As words rushed out of her mouth, more liquid squeezed into her eyes vigorously and Liam went closer to her on the bed as the utter sadness on her face was threatening to weigh him down.
He knew the kind of great love his daughter had for her best friend but in his eyes, it was still hard to believe Daniella could cry so much like this because of her remorsefulness.
“Shush, shush, it's okay. You’re in tears because you're happy for your friend but do you have an idea of how disheartening those tears have made me become?”
Liam sounded pained as he felt and Daniella felt even torturous for every second when he gazed at her. Her tears were rolling down one after another.
“I'm happy for Mandy too. Now would you stop crying, please?” Liam pleaded softly while collecting her tears with his fingers.
Daniella was not sure why she cried even harder after he wiped her tears. She threw herself into his arms and his shoulders shrugged nonstop. Her stunning black hair cascaded down her back and Liam started to brush his fingers through them.
He caressed her skin, repeated the motion over and over again while saying sweet words to her in a low voice.
Daniella’s heart tightened so hard in her chest as if someone was trying to squeeze the life out of her. The fact that she’d just lied to her father hurts like the very devil.
But what could she do? Her father was her top priority and she couldn't risk putting him in trouble. No, she will deal with this all alone without involving her father.
The following day…
Daniella quickly helped Mandy open her car door and stepped back for her to go in.
“I wonder why Michael wants us to meet all of a sudden. You sure you don’t want to come with me, Ella?” Mandy gave Daniella her puppy eyes.
Daniella shook her head firmly, twice, but kept her smiling face. She had been so tense from the beginning of the lecture today as to how she was going to talk her friend into going home before her.
And when Michael had texted Mandy at the end of the last class for them to meet, she practically applauded him inwardly and even swore to herself to treat the guy well from their next meeting.
“C’mon, Michael might have prepared a big surprise for you and you know, he would be disappointed if I should tag with you,” She uttered cogently, giggling.
“What surprise?” Mandy rolled her eyes,”Not like he's planning to propose to me anytime soon,” Daniella shrugged and winked, “We never can tell,”
“Silly,” Mandy laughed and then got into the car. “I’ll call you later and prepare to give me the whole gist including his size,” Daniella tipped her a broad wink while she shut the car door.
“Ella,” Mandy yelled while her cheeks tinted with a subtle hue of pink. Daniella even laughed harder and after a few more nasty banters, Mandy eventually drove away.
Daniella became serious at once. All the playfulness and excitement on her face just now had disappeared as though they were never there in the first place.
Quickly, she fetched her car from her coat pocket and then proceeded toward her car in the park only to be stopped by an unfamiliar voice. She turned around swiftly and saw a tall young man wrapped in a coffee-brown suit and black business shoes, wide face and blonde hair.
Daniella thought probably the man wasn't referring to her. So she looked at her left and right side and even at her back but no one was within close sight except from her and her car.
“Yes, I’m talking to you, Miss Daniella,” the man voiced out with a polite smile, inching closer.
Daniella’s eyes widened, “How did you know my name, and who are you?” she asked directly without mincing words.
The young man smiled again, “My name is Cole, Cole William. I'm so sorry to approach you in this manner but my boss would love to meet you briefly. Please I hope you don’t mind,”
Daniella just scoffed and fell silent and Cole thought that was her answer.
Grinning pleasantly, “Please come with me, dear. He’s waiting for you in the car,” he gestured for her to follow him and Daniella’s next words got him blinking so hard.
“You must be completely out of your mind, Mister Brown,” Cole took his gaze back to her face and he discreetly swallowed at the fierceness that had covered her face.
“Who are you to think you can just approach me and order me around, huh? Be grateful I'm very busy right now, otherwise, I would have taught you a good lesson. Flat-ass,”
Daniella hissed, shot him a final irritated glance, and then finally turned to her car.

Liam Brandon had a huge smile on his face when he stepped into his office with Henry following in step behind him.
As usual, he just got his regular commendation from a new client about his looks.
But what really got him smiling was that the unknown lady had taken his pictures unaware and suddenly proclaimed in the gym room that she was going to make a big portrait of the pictures and spread them all over her household.
“To be honest, Liam, I asked myself most of the time that would I be able to settle with just one woman if at all I was blessed with your looks,” Henry spoke his mind and Liam couldn't stop his lips from stretching into an amused smile.
He was getting closer to his seat and preparing his response when the Golden Statue trophy that occupied a space on his table suddenly fell off and shattered into pieces immediately.
“Huh?” Henry was astounded as he hurriedly rushed over to pick up the pieces of the award.
Henry straightened up with the parts and looked at a stunned Liam, “You were not even close to your seat, I would have assumed your body probably hit it,”
The feeling of something not being right suddenly filled Liam.
He couldn't pinpoint what the thing was but he knew something was not right.
Some time ago, when he was madly furious about himself wanting to fuck his daughter.
That day, he had blundered everything on his table, including that trophy and when Henry later came to sort things out— the award was intact. But now?
“Daniella” he whispered, his heart fast speeding in his chest, and without saying a word to Henry, he rushed out of his office like a madman.
“Ella!” Liam had been screaming from the moment he got out of his car, ran to the front villa, and surged into the house.
He took the staircase in twos and the second he got to the foyer, that feeling of something not being right filled him again.
“Daniella,” he yelled and charged into her room without knocking. Liam stopped breathing as soon as he saw Daniella lying down on the bare floor, wriggling from one side to the other.
Liam went to her and crouched, holding her body to himself.
“Baby, are you okay? Is it the five-days monster?” he asked, his heart beating loudly in his chest.
“Oh, Jesus,”A whimper tore from Daniella’s throat. Instantly she slapped her hand against her mouth, curling into a ball with her other hand clutching tightly against her belly.
“Tell me, Ella. Is it your time of the month already? Are you out of your meds? Where are they?” Liam’s voice sounded far away.
Another whimper escaped her throat. It felt like her lower belly was thrown into a blazing fire. A fire that burns hotter with every passing second.
The pain she had never felt before tore through her entire body, “Dad,” she sounded so scared, and hurt—whimpering like a wounded thing.
“Yes, I’m here with you, sweetheart. Talk to me, what's wrong?” He was confused and concerned beyond measure.
He had no idea what was going on with her but she seemed to be in so much pain.
Daniella's eyes watered and she lost the battle. Throwing her head back, a deep scream tore from her throat.
Right then, Liam noticed the large pool of blood that started drifting from his V area and he felt his heart being grabbed by something that was so heart-wrenchingly painful.
“Ella, blood!”
