Chapter 21 Coming to the Doorstep!

After a while, their lips parted.

Nora looked at Arlo with silky eyes, feeling his burning gaze, she pursed her lips and smiled lightly, "Is this what kissing feels like? Feels like being drunk!"

Arlo grinned, about to speak when Nora's phone kept chiming with messages.

Nora picked up her phone and scrolled through the messages one by one, a cold smile playing at the corners of her mouth, "Look, my dear father really loves me, he's frozen my cards and even kicked me out of the company's WhatsApp group."

"Wants to make me surrender? Well, let's wait and see! Arlo, let's go to the bar!" Nora exclaimed.

Arlo was curious, "Isn't the bar under your father's name?"

"Of course not!" Nora said proudly, "Dreamy Bar was bought with the money I made from stock trading during my college days. I originally planned to buy the two floors above the bar and open a pottery studio. But as soon as I graduated, my dear father arranged for me to join the company, it's quite funny. When I took over the company, it was on the brink of bankruptcy. Under my management, the company revived and started to flourish again. But just when things were stabilizing, I was kicked out."

Shaking her head, Nora smirked, "I'm curious to see if the company can still remain stable without me!"

Driving to the bar, Nora quickly contacted the landlord, expressing her desire to rent the upstairs as well.

But the landlord couldn't come immediately, he'd only be back in Fleross by evening.

Feeling a bit tired, Arlo suggested Nora go to the office to rest while he sat boredly on the couch playing with his phone.

After about ten minutes, he suddenly heard smashing noises coming from outside the bar.

He quickly stepped out of the office, only to see the bar's glass door smashed with an iron rod, and dozens of people pouring into the lobby.

The leader was none other than Alex, the man he had fought with yesterday!

When enemies meet, the hatred is evident. Alex saw Arlo standing at the office door as soon as he entered.

His gaze passed over Arlo and landed on Nora sleeping on the office bed.

Alex's eyes reddened instantly. Seeing Nora lying on the bed naturally brought up some unspeakable thoughts.

He had long regarded Nora as forbidden fruit and suddenly felt like he was wearing a bright green hat.

Pointing at Arlo, he gritted his teeth and said, "Hit him! Hit him hard for me! Beat him to death for me!"

Seeing Alex, Arlo quickly closed the office door.

He looked down at the crowd surging towards him and frowned at these thugs.

From their orderly approach, it was clear these were professional thugs.

But Arlo wasn't worried because these people could only come up through the stairs in front of him.

The stairs could only accommodate three people at a time, plus his advantageous position from above.

Soon, the fastest runner charged at him with an iron rod in hand.

Arlo kicked him head-on with great force, catching him off guard and sending him flying backward, propelled by inertia.

Snatching the iron rod from the man's hand, he viciously smashed it onto the heads of the other two.

The other two reacted quickly, dodging Arlo's blows and striking at his arms with their own rods.

At this moment, Arlo was caught off guard, and he took these two blows squarely.

With a grunt, he quickly withdrew his hand, knowing his arm must be swollen by now.

Arlo's gaze hardened, becoming serious.

He took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around his arm, brandishing the iron rod in his hand and roaring, "Come on! Who wants to try their luck?"

With this swing, the two thugs instinctively took two steps back.

"Are you all useless? He's just one person, and you still don't dare to come up?" Seeing the two thugs retreat, Alex couldn't contain his anger.

Thinking of the charming Nora under Arlo, jealousy surged uncontrollably within him.

"Get him! Do you hear me? One arm is worth a hundred thousand! One leg is worth two hundred thousand! Whoever kills him today, I'll give them one million! Afterwards, I'll arrange for them to lay low for a while!"

Under such a hefty reward, the two thugs at the front glanced at each other and rushed up together.

Arlo swiftly dodged the thug on his left and slammed his shoulder into the chest of the thug on his right.

The sound of crisp bones breaking resounded as the unfortunate fellow screamed and fell backward, rolling like a gourd.

Before the thug on the left could react, Arlo's iron rod came crashing down on his face. He screamed as his nasal bone shattered, collapsing on the ground.

Arlo's ferocity surprised the thugs, and after a brief stalemate, one cleverly climbed up using a nearby ledge.

Seeing this, the remaining thugs also reacted and began to climb up.

Left and right, Arlo continuously knocked down the thugs trying to approach him, but more kept coming.

He realized he couldn't just wait for them to surround him. If he did, it would be a dead end.

But if he ran away... What about Nora?

The thugs pressed on relentlessly. One of them took advantage of his distraction and struck him on the back with an iron rod.

Arlo staggered, but managed to stay on his feet.

Before he could counterattack, another thug struck his leg with a rod from the stairs.

Arlo stumbled and fell to the ground.

The remaining thugs immediately swarmed over and pinned him down.

"Hold his limbs firmly! I'll personally break every one of them!" Alex exclaimed, amazed by Arlo's fighting prowess.

Seeing the thugs restrain Arlo, he became ecstatic.

Once the thugs had Arlo's limbs under control, Alex approached.

Picking up an iron rod, Alex stepped on Arlo's leg, his face filled with malice. "Which leg should I break first?"
