Chapter 113 The Hell Disaster Belong
Chapter 113 The Hell Disaster Belong
Carol cleared his throat, his voice carrying the weight of authority. "El Patrio has caused immeasurable pain and suffering. We've gathered enough evidence to ensure his conviction. The question now is, what do we do with him?"
The room fell into a heavy silence as everyone contemplated the options. It was clear that El Patrio posed a significant threat, and allowing him to escape justice was not an option.
Sergio, his eyes locked on El Patrio, was the first to speak. "Why are we negotiating? This is my call. That was the plan."
Daniel, who had remained quiet until now, bristled at Sergio's words. "What do you mean by your call? I have waited this long to end this devil called El Patrio. I joined this mission just to be able to pull the trigger that sends him to hell that he belongs in."
"Well, that's your loss. I have Carol's word on this one. And he will definitely die by my bullets."
El Patrio, still defiant, seized the moment to interject. "I know why Sergio wants me dead. He's always held a grudge for what happened to his sister. I was expecting a day like this. But why, Daniel? Why do you want me dead?"
Daniel hesitated, his expression conflicted. He had personal reasons for wanting El Patrio to face justice, but he hadn't shared them with anybody there before. He finally spoke, his voice tinged with bitterness. "You killed someone I cared about, too. Someone I loved. You killed the woman I loved," he said, his voice quivering with anger and grief. "She was innocent, and you took her life without a second thought."
El Patrio's eyes narrowed as he absorbed this revelation. "Ah, a personal vendetta. How poetic." He laughed, then continued. "You see, young man, I have killed a lot of people, so if you are going to kill me, let me know at least the person I am getting killed for.
"Amira!" Daniel snapped. "You killed Amira."
El Patrio puzzled for a moment as if he was trying to remember who goes by that name. "The Indian?" He asked. He received a positive nod from Daniel. "You were in love with an Indian girl. Oh, come on, I would bet you look English."
"Shut up," Daniel snapped, but El Patrio didn't listen.
"My first lover was an Indian. She was the best I have ever had." He continued.
"I said shut up," Daniel screamed, but he was forced to obey the order himself with the sound of a gunshot. Carol had shot El Patrio in his leg.
"He just asked you to keep quiet nicely, and you had the effrontery to continue." Carol exclaimed.
The room fell into a heavy silence as the weight of Daniel's revelation hung in the air. El Patrio chuckled softly. "So, we both have our reasons, don't we?"
Sergio and Daniel locked eyes, their shared desire for vengeance binding them in that moment. After a brief, tense discussion, they reached a decision.
"We'll both do it," Sergio finally said, his voice resolute.
Daniel nodded in agreement, his gaze unwavering. "Together."
With that, they stepped back from El Patrio, their firearms raised. In that moment, the room seemed to hold its breath as the two men, united in their determination, took aim.
El Patrio, defiant to the end, met their gazes with a mixture of fear and contempt. He remained silent, resigned to his fate.
As Sergio and Daniel squeezed the triggers, the room was filled with the deafening sound of gunfire. El Patrio's body jolted in the chair as the bullets struck him, and then he slumped forward, lifeless.
The team members stood in a heavy silence, their faces a mix of relief and solemnity. El Patrio, the criminal mastermind who had eluded justice for so long, was no more.
Carol finally broke the silence. "It had to be done," he said, his voice weary but determined.
"Now, let's secure the evidence and prepare to take down the Beast. Get ready to leave; the Beast will soon find us, knowing we have El Patrio."
"I think the soon is now," Claus remarked. He was looking through the surveillance. The beast men just passed the first gate into the street, and they are coming toward the safe house."
As the team members hurriedly gathered their belongings, packing up the evidence they had collected against the Beast, Carol gave the urgent order to move out. The Beast's men are closing in on their location.
With swift efficiency, they exited the safe house, leaving no trace of their presence behind. Everything they couldn't take with them was left behind, and they were determined not to leave any loose ends.
Rick, who had been hiding, emerged from his hiding spot, his face enveloped with fear. He had been unsure about his place in this mission, but now, he has to keep running with them to stay alive.
The team members piled into the van, their faces etched with tension and determination. Carol took the driver's seat, his hands steady on the wheel as she prepared to lead them to safety.
Just as they pulled away from the safe house, the Beast's men arrived on the scene, their faces filled with anticipation. They believed they had finally caught up with their targets, unaware that the team had slipped away just moments before.
The Beast's men surrounded the safe house, their voices filled with excitement as they prepared to make their move. They had no idea that the team had outsmarted them once again. Inside the van, tension hung heavy in the air as they sped away from the safe house.
"How the fuck did they get to us? I am certain they didn't follow us the other time we lost them." Daniel questioned, tired of them being on the run.
"I am sure they must have traced us through El Patrio. I think he might be bugged. The same way they found us the moment we got him out of that house he ran into." Claus concluded.
"You are correct." Sergio added. The Beast has a way of knowing everything planned with El Patrio. It is hard not to believe that he has been bugged."
"What now?" Mia asked. "Are we going to keep being on the run? I think this baby needs medical attention."
"It is almost over, Mia. Everything ends today." Carol assured.
"Claus," Carol continued. "Can you hack all street television in Connecticut? I want that video of the beast killing a politician on every screen on the streets of Connecticut."
Claus nodded. "I will see to that now."
"Sergio and Mia, gather the contact of all newspaper companies you can lay your hands on. We need to send them the documents so they can publish. We will send it to as many as possible so no newspaper will be probed if things don't go well and reduce the chances of us being betrayed." Carol added.
"Sure," Mia responded, handing the baby over to Rick.
"Daniel, be on the lookout for us. I have to find a place we can stay for a while." Carol added.
