Chapter 111 Disaster's Company
Chapter 111 Disaster's Company
With El Patrio's mocking laughter still ringing in their ears, Claus, Sergio, and Daniel intensified their search for a way to outsmart the criminal. Their determination to capture him grew stronger with every passing moment.
As they scoured the room for hidden passages or clues, Claus's sharp eyes caught a glimpse of something unusual. A series of wires and cables led to a small control panel on the wall.
"Guys, I think I found it," Claus called out, his voice filled with excitement and determination. He followed the wires to the control panel and quickly assessed the situation.
Sergio and Daniel joined him, their eyes fixed on the control panel. "Can you disable it?" Sergio asked, his voice tense with urgency.
Claus nodded, his fingers deftly working to disconnect the power supply to the elevator. With a final twist and pull, the elevator shuddered to a halt, its ascent abruptly halted.
The triumphant feeling of momentarily thwarting El Patrio's escape filled the room. Claus grinned at his accomplishment, but they knew they couldn't waste any time.
"We need to find another way up," Daniel urged, his gaze scanning the room for any hidden doors or passages.
Claus nodded, gesturing for them to split up. "I'll stay here on the main floor, just in case he tries to make a run for it. You two go check where the elevator leads."
Sergio and Daniel didn't waste a second. They hurried toward the entrance of the elevator and stepped inside. Claus watched them go, determined to guard their escape route.
With the power supply reconnected, Claus waited patiently for Sergio and Daniel to investigate the upper floor. He knew that capturing El Patrio now required precision and coordination.
Sergio and Daniel arrived on the floor above, cautiously exploring the unfamiliar surroundings. The dimly lit hallway stretched out before them, and they knew they had to proceed with caution.
As they moved deeper into the upper level, they spotted a door at the end of the hallway. It appeared to be the only way forward. Sergio pushed it open slowly, revealing a room filled with shadows.
The sudden flicker of movement caught their attention. El Patrio, realizing that his escape plan had been foiled, had taken cover in the room. He raised his weapon, ready to defend himself.
Sergio and Daniel acted quickly, their training taking over. They shouted at El Patrio to drop his weapon, but he refused to comply. With precision and determination, they moved in, carefully avoiding any sudden moves that could trigger violence.
The standoff was tense, and El Patrio's defiance was clear. But Sergio and Daniel were unwavering, knowing that they had to capture him to end this dangerous game once and for all.
As they closed in on El Patrio, their every move calculated and precise, they knew that this confrontation would determine the outcome of their mission.
The room was tense as Sergio and Daniel cautiously advanced toward El Patrio, their weapons trained on him. El Patrio, though outnumbered and cornered, displayed a stubborn resolve that bordered on desperation.
"Drop the weapon, El Patrio!" Sergio's voice rang out with authority, his finger poised on the trigger. He knew that this was their chance to bring the criminal to justice.
El Patrio's eyes darted between Sergio and Daniel, his grip on his firearm tightening. He seemed to be weighing his options, knowing that capture was imminent.
Daniel, standing beside Sergio, maintained his composure. "You can't escape, El Patrio. It's over."
For a moment, the room hung in a precarious balance. El Patrio hesitated, his eyes filled with defiance. But then, with a resigned sigh, he slowly lowered his weapon to the ground.
The tension in the room eased as Sergio and Daniel approached, their caution never wavering. They handcuffed El Patrio, ensuring he couldn't make any sudden moves.
As the criminal kingpin was led away, his reign of terror came to an end. Sergio and Daniel shared a brief nod of satisfaction, knowing that their mission had been a success.
Back on the main floor, Claus had been keeping a vigilant watch, ready to assist if needed. When Sergio and Daniel emerged with El Patrio in custody, Claus's face broke into a triumphant grin.
"Got him, huh?" Claus said, his tone laced with satisfaction.
Sergio nodded, his expression serious. "Yeah, we got him. It's finally over."
With El Patrio apprehended, they knew that justice would now take its course. The dangerous criminal would face the consequences of his actions, and the team could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"Now flee," Claus said. He gave El Patrio a strong blow on his face, and his nose began to bleed immediately. "That is for trying to outsmart me." Claus gave him another one. "That is for Roderick." He was about to give him the third when Sergio stopped him.
"Claus!" He called out. "Let's take him to the safe house. "That was the order." Claus retreated, and they took El Patrio to the van. His hands were cuffed to the van. Claus drove off to the safe house.
As Claus, Sergio, Daniel, and the captured El Patrio made their way toward the safe house, they sensed they were being followed. The tension in the van was palpable as they navigated the streets. Claus increased his pace.
In the distance, the sound of approaching vehicles grew louder, and headlights pierced the darkness. Claus's grip on the steering wheel tightened as he realized that the Beast's men were catching up.
"We've got company," Claus muttered, glancing at the rearview mirror. The sight of several black SUVs filled with armed men sent a shiver down their spines.
Sergio's eyes darted around, searching for a way to lose their pursuers. "We can't lead them to the safe house. We need to shake them off our trail."
Bullets whizzed past the van. They fired their weapons with precision and determination, aiming to disable the team and recapture El Patrio.
Daniel, sitting in the back of the van with his firearm at the ready, was doing his best to provide cover fire and fend off their pursuers. With one hand on the steering wheel, Claus did his utmost to navigate the treacherous route and create some distance between the two vehicles.
Amid the chaos, Daniel spotted an armed member of the Beast's men leaning out of one of the pursuing SUVs. This man, armed with a high-powered rifle, took careful aim at the van.
With a deafening crack, the shot rang out. The bullet pierced through the back window of the van, striking Daniel in the upper arm as he tried to shield himself. Pain surged through him, and he cried out, involuntarily dropping his weapon.
Blood stained his shirt, and he clutched his injured arm, struggling to maintain his composure despite the searing pain. Sergio and Claus heard his cry of pain and immediately realized what had happened.
