CHAPTER 35
Hale's car stopped outside Dreame Café so Diwata immediately smiled because he took her to her favorite Café.
She immediately pulled Hale's hand away as the two of them got out of the car.
"Hurry up Hale!" she said cheerfully, they finally got inside and sat down at the empty table.
As usual Hale was just quiet and not as talkative as he was.
The other woman was looking at them inside and she didn't know why she was feeling even more annoyed because their eyes were focused on Hale.
Hale must have noticed that so he frowned and spoke in front of her.
"What's wrong with you? Why is your face like that?" he asked because of the sudden change of her mood.
She teases the women looking at it.
"Why do they look at you like that? I'm disgusted," she muttered.
Hale raised an eyebrow and turned his gaze to the women she was saying.
Hale watched the women so she became even more annoyed.
"Why are you staring at them?"
Hale was surprised at the tone of her speech, perhaps it was shocked but then smile.
"You're jealous?"
She didn't know if Hale was asking her or if it was just annoying her.
Jelous? Why would she be jealous? She just hates seeing these women looking at Hale.
"Why should I be jealous?"
She feels like she’s not Diwata now. It was as if she was taunting Hale with the way she was asking questions.
"Pfft. It's obvious, come on, I'm all yours," Hale said softly to her and he even winked at her. She felt her cheek heat up.
Is she really jealous?
She looked down and was suddenly embarrassed. Hale held her hand over the table as they faced each other.
"Do you think I'll trade you for those women? I already taste heaven..."
She didn't quite understand the last thing Hale said so her forehead furrowed.
"H-huh? What was the last thing you said?"
Hale smiled at her and then shook his head.
"Nevermind it, have you order? What do you want?" he asked her.
She smiled when she remembered her Italian Soda.
“Italian soda then I like cheesecake,” she told Hale.
Hale nodded and waved at the waiter. It was he who ordered it for her and she heard him also ordered an Italian Soda for himself.
"You also like Italian Soda?" she asked Hale.
"I just want to give it a try. It looks like your favorite," Hale told her. She smiled at the young man.
"Yeah that's really my favorite because it's delicious. Hehehe!"
Hale just nodded at her as they waited for their order both.
Eventually she noticed that Hale was quiet and was stunned by a crowd of people who had just entered the Café.
"Diosah..." she heard Hale say in a low voice. She frowned at the name he mentioned.
Diosah? Who is Diosah?
She looked closely at the woman who had just entered.
Sophisticated, tall, and beautiful. Its complexion is very white. It’s almost the same as Hale’s cousin Santiara. It looks like a model.
The woman turned to their place and was stunned.
Her eyes were focused on Hale so she exchanged glances with the two.
"H-hale?!" the woman said in shock. She was surprised because the woman knew Hale.
"Diosah..." Hale said while looking at the woman. Hale stood up in his seat and seemed to be susprised.
She is not mistaken. They know each other.
"Oh my god Hale! I went to your house earlier but you weren't there. I never thought we'd meet here!" the woman said happily and immediately hugged Hale.
She was swallowed.
There seemed to be a chisel drawn in her throat when she saw their bodies together.
The woman hugged Hale's body tightly and Hale just let the woman go. It's as if she doesn't exist now.
"I missed you!" said the woman.
She looked down.
Why does she feel this way? It was as if a knife was stabbing her in the chest.
It was a few seconds before Hale let go of the woman's embrace and it was only then that he remembered that she was with him. Hale first cleared his throat.
"Ah, Diosah this is Diwata-"
"Hi I'm Hale's girlfriend!" the woman cutted what Hale was saying. She was shocked by what she heard. Hale, on the other hand, just frowned and seemed surprised as well.
"G-girlfriend?" she repeated what the woman had said.
"Diosah, what are you talking about?" Hale groaned. The woman suddenly laughed.
"Just kidding! I was just kidding Hale. I'm Hale's ex-girlfriend. Nice to meet you Diwata!" the woman smiled at her. She tried to smile at her even though it was as if there were horses galloping in her chest. It was as if her breathing would be cut off. She accepted the woman's hand when she revealed it in front of her.
"Nice to meet you too," she said.
"Are you Hale's girlfriend?" she asked her. She could not answer her question.
A moment of silence prevailed over the question. She waited for Hale to speak but he couldn't speak. She felt embarrassed suddenly.
"Oh, no one will answer my question? Nevermind it. Anyway, can I join you guys? Is it okay with you, Diwata? I miss Hale, we have a lot to talk about," said the woman. She looked at Hale and his eyes were serious as he stared at her, she nodded at the woman and forced a smile.
"Y-yes," she replied here.
The three of them sat down and faced each other at the same table.
"It's been a long time, Hale. You still haven't changed. You're still serious," the woman said laughing.
"W-when did you came here?" Hale suddenly asked.
"Just the other day. I looked for you at Santiara's condo and she pointed me your house but you're not there," the woman said. She just listens to the two.
She suddenly felt sad. It was as if her heart was being squeezed. It hurts.
Hale didn't even introduce her.
After all, who is she in his life? She is not his girlfriend. He has no right to assume.
She knew that but why was she hurting?
Until the woman said goodbye to them she could no longer speak. Hale was just quiet too. They went out of the Café without even saying a word and it seemed as if Hale was thinking too deep. Even in the car they were both speechless. She couldn't ask or even wonder why it suddenly happened, but only one thing went through her mind, that woman had a strange effect on Hale and it hurt her heart. She was hurt for reasons she could not explain.
