Chapter 24 Twenty four

Chapter 24 Twenty four
24
Astra's POV.
I alighted from the car as soon as we arrived at his mansion and I didn't think that anything was bothering me as much as what I was about to see.

It wasn't because he was a bad person per se or he was doing anything that was against my morality or judgment it was just because we had various things that we wanted out of life and as long as I didn't get it I was not bothered.

"Why don't you let Maggie show you to your room?" Vincent said from behind me.

I refuse to listen to anything that had to do with his voice but I knew that are some point we were still going to revisit certain conversations.

He was the safest place to be with right now ever since my friend's father had declared that he didn't want to see me beside her anymore.

I thought god if I was going to be going deep into this I needed to clear the air and make sure that some things never popped up again no matter what the circumstances were.

"So I was thinking about a few things and I realized that they have been made ways we have come together too cause a lot of chaos and the only thing that we can do right now is to make sure that we abolish everything."

I knew that I was probably speaking Spanish and so people were trying to figure out what the hell I was talking about because it was just weird for them to ever comprehend.

I thought that we were on the same page on a lot of things and I didn't want to compromise my decision making skills and abilities because at some point I was going to bow to the pressure.

"So I've come to the calculation that if we are taking certain risks it's because we want to, right?"

I knew that I was only just pushing for my own needs to be met and at some point I was going to have to consider one of the things that he was also talking about all along and try to figure out if I wanted this life for it was crazy enough for me to quit.

I had more than enough reason not to even get into most of the problems that I had gotten into but I was still trying to figure out if this was the best way of handling it or I should have just let everything just go.

I had an idea that was coming to end up being terrible if I was not being careful but I wanted to shut it down before it became even greater than it currently was and also deal with it before the excesses became that great.

I had come to terms with the fact that if I wanted to make a change I needed to go quietly but steadily with my eyes focused on the goal.

"So I was thinking about something and I would love to invite you for my company's Luncheon." He kept my company as we headed towards the staircase.

One thing that I had come to understand about him was that he was never going to take no fun and son even if I refuse to speak to him he was going to find a way of being happy with himself and just coming up with better ways of handling this.

It wasn't because there was nothing that he could do in this case it was just because he had decided to focus on what was more important and I commended him for doing that.

I knew that at some point I would have to come to terms with the reality of the situation but I was still willing to try out other things and see what the difference was.

If it was not that great like I had imagined it to be I will have to pass. But if it was, then I would have to do something else entirely to make sure that I was completely out of the loop of annoyance

I must have done something crazy in my previous lifetime which I was trying to make up for right now.

It was just because I was trying to beat all the issues that I was currently facing and make sure that I arrived at a tangible conclusion before anybody could figure it out for me.

"So let's say that we have a lot of problems running through our hands right now what do you think the best solution is? Do you think it's by pretending like these things do not exist, and hoping that it goes away one way or the other?" I demanded from him

He didn't respond to my words instead he just kept looking at me and wondering how on Earth this was ever going to happen.

I didn't also push myself into doing anything that was going to disgrace me in the long run or make me feel weird. It was right about time that we finally put this to good use.

It was not in the space of looking for opportunities or trying to bridge the gap.

He grabbed in my hand just as I was about to pass by him. "Astra, you and I are going to have fun together if you really want to see the best part of me but if you've decided on what you want, there's absolutely nothing I can do to save the situation. I hope you understand that." He said in a regretful voice.

I stopped moving and even at some point I decided that if I was going to stress myself it needed to be done in such a highly placed manner.

I needed to get into his head and understand the workings of this place or else I would always be frustrated

I linked my hands with his. "Then you are going to do me a favor if you want me to forget all of this." I announced.

His eyes roamed over my entire body making me feel naked in his presence and I didn't think that it was a good idea.

At some point I felt like he just wanted to get those clothes off my body but was respecting himself from doing something very weird.

"What exactly are you expecting from me?"

"Nothing much. I'm only expecting that you show me the ropes of this business. At least if I'm going into that space I need to know what I'm up against and how I can deal with it." I suggested.

There was nothing funny about whatever I had said and I saw him looking at me like I was crazy.

"You must be crazy. I mean I know that you're crazy. You cannot expect me to send you off into such space!" He exploded.

I have never seen Vincent vibrate this way not even when he was dealing with those goons.

"Hey..." I called tentatively. "What exactly is the problem?"

"I'm not going to let you stick your neck into that place and become a shell of yourself." He warned, "I would rather die than see you become Mortis bride."
