Chapter 54 Baby Adalind

POV: Jax

Six months later....

Haven is asleep exhausted from giving birth. Tonight was a blood moon. My new born daughter was born on the blood moon. She is beautiful. Her name is Adalind Catalina Rickson.

Haven did so good. I'm so proud of her. She wasn't as bad with the cravings as Cat was. She had a few though. They weren't as weird though.

I can smell that my daughter is a werewolf but something else too. I think it's the blood moon. My daughter is a hybrid. A werewolf and a vampire. That will not go easy for her. Not in our world. I love her no matter what. I'm just worried how other will see her. We have been at war with vampires for centuries. Our two species have never gotten along.

Cameron is doing good. Haven is still determined to teach him to beat me. He has just started to crawl. He gets into everything.

Liam has s little one on the way now. Mom and Richard have been doing great. They are experiencing. He's due to be born next month. I'll have a new little brother now.

Santos was sentenced to death for all his crime. Now don't think I didn't just let him die. I had my fun with him. I froze his his dick and shattered it in front of everyone. I made it a public thing. Though I would not allow Haven to watch it and she didn't want to either.

I cut him up pretty good to using a silver dagger. Then froze him to death slowly. I took a bat and shattered his body to pieces.

Caroline was sentenced to death as well. I had discussed the situation with mom and Liam. She was my sister and we loved her. It was hard but after what she did we could not forgive her ever again. Her death was swift and quick.

I hold my little bundle of joy in my arms happy to be a father again. I swear to always keep her safe. She looks just like Haven with her green eyes.

Haven lifts her head up waking up. "Hey baby." I whisper. She doesn't even look at me but Adalind. "Is she ok?" She asks. "Yeah. Oh yeah she is a very healthy little pup."

I place her in Haven's arms. As soon as Adalind was born Haven passed out. Haven crys meeting her daughter for the first time. "She looks just like you." I say.

Haven sniffles. "She's perfect." Yes she is. "You did so good baby." I tell her. "I have a message for you." Haven informs me.

"What is it?" I ask. "Two worlds will be united as one. Two waring species will unite in union. On her 18th birthday this will begin anew.... remember the mate bond is sacred." Haven finishes. The goddess has sent this prophecy before. I look down at my daughter know very well who it is talking about.

I have been warned of her destiny. I still don't know what it is but I hold on to every word of it. Her bit about the mate bond I really don't understand why she would send me that.

"Do you know what it means?" I ask Haven and Ash. "I know some but I'm not allowed to tell you." She says. "Same with me. All I can say is no one will ever hurt my little girl. I will kill who ever that dare to lay a hand on her." Ash vows.

After about an hour we let in everyone to meet the her. We first let the grandparents in. Mom and Richard came in first. "Oh she is adorable." Mom coos at her. "you and your little uncle are going to have so much fun playing together. Is it just me or does that sound wrong.

"Jax am I smelling this right?" Mom mindlinks me worried. "Yes you are. It's the blood moon i think. " I link back. Haven eventually told me what the goddess had done when Adalind was conceived. She wanted her to be born on this very day.

"Well we'll love her just the same anyway." Mom links back. They go after ten more minutes. Linda and Jack come next.

"Ooh let me see my little granddaughter. I'm am going to spoil you so rotten." Linda takes her from my arms. "I'm so proud of you honey." Jack kisses the top of Havens head. "I think mom might kidnap her." Haven jokes. "Oh with no doubt." Jack jokes along.

"Oh you two hush. You are just the most beautiful baby ever. Yes you are." Linda coos. "Now Linda let me hold her. Stop hogging the pup." Jack tells her.

"Mom you will see her again just let dad have a turn." Haven fusses at her mom. Linda gives the baby to Jack. Jack looks at the baby concerned etched on his face. I know he has noticed it in her scent. "Jack is something wrong?" Linda asks him noticing his expression. I wonder if Haven knows. She says she knows some things.

"She's a hybrid dear. Don't you smell it." He says aloud. Linda sniffs the air. "It doesn't matter." Linda says worried. "No it doesn't. She will be perfectly fine." Haven says. I guess my baby is a little mama bear. She did not like how that sounded toward her daughter.

"I know honey. We still love her the same." Linda says more calmly. Jack give me back Adalind. They leave so that Julian and Rose can see.

Haven and them have become close. She doesn't call them mom and dad though. She says it just doesn't feel right. They have the same reaction as everyone else. Worried but they accept her for who she is.

The next to come in is Liam and his mate. The next to come in is Penny and Luke. Those two have been getting pretty chummy lately. I'm pretty sure something is going on with those two. They just aren't saying.

A bunch of others come in to meet Adalind. After everyone is gone Haven feeds her then I lay her down to sleep. I then get in the bed with Haven holding her as she sleeps. I am the happiest man alive. Haven is my everything. She is my Haven.
