Chapter 3: Flirting
Two hours passed before they arrived at Clay's private house in a province. Yuna started to caress her arms because the cold wind touches her skin. Her feet slowly took a step while she looked around the place. The environment is quiet, neat, and beautiful.
Clay's big house was purposely built in a private area because that was what he requested. Even though he was a famous model, he is the type of man who seem to have his own world. And, he doesn't want anything or won't let anyone bother him.
"Hurry up! When you walk, it's like the step of a chicken," Clay complained. When Yuna heard how Clay ordered her, she stopped walking. The blood in her body was like the boiled water on a stove.
"Are you like that, huh? You're not—”
“Oh, why did you stop talking? You can no longer pretend, right?” Clay laughed out loud.
"I will not enter your house. You're a psycho, remember? I don't know what else you can do to me," Yuna said. She even crossed her hands on her chest.
"Ok, can't we argue first? I want to talk to you. And do not worry! I do not intend to harm you. I would like you to listen to me. A cup of coffee or tea while we discuss something inside my house is much better, right?” Clay said calmly to Yuna. It is not that he wanted to be with Yuna. For him they needed to talk about what happened, but Yuna just stared at him. Then Clay just took a deep breath.
“Trust me, please!” Clay begged.
"Say yes! If you don't want me to carry you into my house," he added. He lost his patience again. But, instead of Yuna scolding him, she smiled because she realized that fate made a way for them to meet again.
“What?” Clay said carefully.
“Okay! I will trust you and listen to you,” Yuna said without fuss and comfortably.
"Yes! Once you enter my house, you will never be able to leave," Clay's mind whispered, and he secretly laughed. They walked together. They went straight to the big door. When Clay opened it, the first thing Yuna noticed was the high ceiling in the living room. Then, they sat on the same sofa. Even if it's just one, it's big and soft.
"This man is capable in life. The design of his house and furnishing are not ordinary. Who is he besides being a famous model?" flowed through Yuna's mind.
"Oh, I'm sorry! Coffee, tea, juice, water, soda?“ Clay offered nervously. He almost mentioned all kinds of drinks.
"No, thank you! Just say what you have to say so I can leave," Yuna answered him directly.
"You are leaving? No! You will live here in my house!"
"Huh? Are you crazy? Look, I agreed to go with you to hear your explanation. Not to live here!”
"Am I going to keep telling you that I'm really serious about marrying you? I mean it! I will marry you, and you will marry me. You can't object to my decision! You have nothing else to answer but only YES to me, understand?" Clay said. His gaze at Yuna was sharp. Yuna can't believe again Clay's showed behavior.
“No!” Yuna strongly objected. And then she stood up from sitting.
"I am not going to marry a stranger psycho like you. I do not care what happened earlier. And that time–”
"What? Continue!” Clay also stood in front of her.
"Why is it so easy for you to say words without thinking about them first? I have no relationship or connection with you to marry you," Yuna clearly explained. Clay stepped closer to her.
"We have no relationship or connection? Stranger? Is that what you want me to understand?” Clay pointed to himself.
“Y-Yes!” Yuna stuttered.
"Really?" Clay immediately asked again. Yuna just nodded her head. Suddenly, Clay took off his plain black t-shirt after he confirmed with Yuna. Meanwhile, when Yuna saw his well-built body, her eyes widened.
"What are you doing?" Yuna shouted. She also covered her eyes with her hands.
"If you have forgotten, I will remind you. Let us redo what happened that night. So you have a reason to marry me. Let us do it right now!” Clay said seriously. Yuna immediately removed her hands that covered her eyes.
“W-wait! That's not what I meant," Yuna explained. However, Clay did not listen to her. He grabbed her body close to him. Yuna tried to push Clay's chest, but it's too late. Clay even managed to lay Yuna down on the soft sofa. Then he smiled mischievously.
"This way, when it's all over, there's nothing you can do but marry me," Clay said with a smile.
"I'm going to scream!" Yuna threatened him.
"Go on! No one can hear you! Tonight, you are mine!” Clay's face turned serious again.
"You're just kidding, aren't you?" Yuna stared into Clay's eyes, but he didn't answer her. Instead, Clay slowly brought his face closer to Yuna's. Yuna closed her eyes when their lips met. Clay was serious about what he was going to do when the door to his house suddenly opened.
"Oh, my—" The woman who had just entered was shocked. The man she was with was dumbfounded.
Clay immediately removed his lips from Yuna's. He checked who had come. It was Charles and Sandra. Charles knew where his brother was because, in the news, Clay's car was going to a province. It's indeed hard to be famous. Media will follow everywhere.
"What are they doing here?" Clay's mind whispered. He immediately picked up his t-shirt and put it back on. At that time, Yuna's eyes were still closed because she was so nervous. Her body felt emptiness. Clay glanced with Yuna, and he pressed her cheek so that Yuna's senses would come back.
"We have a visitor. Please don't do something or scene that will damage our relationship. No matter what you do, you can't escape me," Clay whispered to Yuna. He held out his palm. Their eyes were staring.
"What the hell! Hold my hand," Clay commanded her. Yuna did nothing but follow him because Charles and Sandra saw them in such a situation while their lips overlapped. Clay smiled, and Yuna secretly kicked him.
“Looks like we disturbed you. Maybe I will talk to you another day," Charles spoke. Yuna was suddenly embarrassed and hid behind Clay while their hands holding each other.
"Not at all. You can talk to me now. Are you and Sandra together?” Clay's face was serious, even his voice.
"I—I'm still wondering what happened earlier. I just can't believe it! You know what I mean? And besides, Charles and I did not know that you already have a girlfriend and you are getting married," Sandra explained, but Clay laughed out loud.
"Why? Do I have to report every move I make to you? So you are here to confirm that I'm getting married? If I love this woman beside me? Did I surprise you? What happened earlier is a good thing for me. Do you know why? So that the various fake rumors spreading about me will stop."
"It's not like that, Clay. If you want to get married, we won't stop you. We wish—“
"I also wish you and Sandra happiness, my good brother Charles!"
Silence surrounds them. Clay and Charles's eyes stared at each other. Sandra bowed her head. She knew that Clay was hitting her with what he said. Meanwhile, Yuna was behind Clay and felt the rebellion in Clay's heart. What happened became a little clearer for her.
"Let's not talk about that. Maybe you can introduce us to her," Charles ordered. When Yuna heard that, she slightly squeezed Clay's hand.
"You're hurting me!" Clay said softly.
"I don't want to face them," Yuna whispered.
"You need to get to know them because you will be with them too. Especially my brother," Clay explained. Then he suddenly pulled Yuna to his side. He hugged her waist.
"Yuna Gregory? Am I right?” Charles suddenly spoke. Clay was surprised and immediately turned his head to his brother.
"Yuna Gregory? The famous chef?” Sandra asked Charles.
"That is why your face looked familiar to me. I see you in magazines," Sandra added. Charles' feet walked closer to Yuna.
“Yuna Gregory, right?” Charles repeated and held out his palm. Yuna accepted it and nodded her head.
"I did not think someone like you was the woman my brother was hiding."
"Actually—" Yuna could not finish what she was about to say when Clay pressed her waist. Yuna instantly knew what Clay's meant.
"We have no intention of making our relationship public. I don't know why Clay suddenly did that thing earlier. I saw him and Sandra talking to each other. Do they both have a problem? Is there anything I need to know from them?”
Clay's heart skipped a beat when he heard what Yuna said. He was happy because Yuna did not embarrass him. Yuna pretended, because that was the only way she could think of to get away from Clay. It reminded her of the past where she and Clay met in Paris. When Clay was drunk, he mentioned Sandra's name. That was the reason why Yuna disappeared like a bubble in Paris.
