Chapter 402 Really, I Like You So Much
Then there's the Ross family's dirty secrets—they've never been exposed before, but they came out tonight at an event like this.
It must be Andrew fighting back against Charlotte for her sake.
He didn't just step forward to protect her himself, but used his own methods to make sure no one would dare to look down on her!
Olivia couldn't help herself. She stood on her tiptoes and whispered in his ear, in a voice only the two of them could hear. "You're so good to me, I really like you so much!"
Being with him, she had gained so much.
Respect, love, in every way, inside and out.
Despite their huge difference in status, he had never looked down on her.
How could anyone not fall for a man like this?
Olivia felt she couldn't live without him anymore.
Andrew hadn't expected her to express her feelings at this moment.
In front of so many people, saying such intimate, sweet words.
Her soft warmth was right beside him. He looked down slightly—her beautiful face was right there, stunning and elegant.
Those lovely eyes looking at him were filled with tender light, washing over him in waves, lingering and affectionate.
Her red lips were moist and alluring.
Andrew's eyes darkened, and he suddenly felt the urge to kiss her.
His Olivia should be looked up to by everyone!
But though he wanted to, he didn't actually kiss her. He just pulled her closer and whispered in her ear, "If you really want to thank me, how about dancing with me later?"
Since it was a ball, dancing was unavoidable.
Olivia smiled, her beauty extraordinary, and immediately nodded. "Sure!"
As his girlfriend, she naturally wouldn't let anyone else take her place.
Rarely showing her possessive side, she warned Andrew, "From now on, you can only dance with me, not with anyone else!"
Andrew caught the faint hint of jealousy and the strong sense of possessiveness she was conveying. His cool eyes suddenly filled with pleasure.
He smiled lightly. "Okay, I'll listen to you. I'll only dance with you!"
The two of them flirting as if no one else was around made Aurelia's face darken as she watched from the crowd.
She hadn't expected things to turn out this way either.
She had thought Charlotte would be somewhat useful.
She wouldn't have to do anything and could still achieve what she wanted.
Who knew Charlotte, that idiot, was all bark and no bite!
Not only did she fail to hurt Olivia at all, but she was easily dealt with by them, and the Ross family went down with her.
To say she wasn't frustrated would be a lie!
But Aurelia was smarter than Charlotte after all.
Watching everything that happened tonight, she knew clearly that this wasn't something Olivia could have achieved on her own!
A large part of it was Andrew's doing!
Whether it was that Zoey, or Charlotte, or the Ross family's scandal—none of it could have been done by Olivia, an outsider who had just arrived in Harmony City!
And those three important people—even she, a daughter of a wealthy family, couldn't befriend them, let alone Olivia.
It must all be Andrew's work!
Aurelia clenched her fists, her nails almost digging into her palms, her eyes churning with deep jealousy and anger.
Destroying the Ross family because of Olivia was one thing.
But introducing such high-level connections for Olivia—he was really willing to go that far!
Did he really like her that much?
How was she, Aurelia, any worse than Olivia? Was she really so beneath his notice?
If it weren't for Olivia, all these connections and glory should have been hers!
Aurelia was sick with hatred.
Especially seeing the two of them being sweet together as if no one else existed, exchanging loving glances—it made her even more upset!
Rachel noticed Aurelia's bad mood and instinctively tried to comfort her, "Aurelia, are you okay?"
She was actually quite surprised too, not expecting things to turn out this way.
She had thought they could watch Olivia make a fool of herself tonight.
But what she witnessed was Olivia's transformation in status.
Olivia now was no longer the person they first knew.
She was different now—there were plenty of people at the event wanting to connect with her.
Even without considering those important people's connections, just her medical skills alone were enough for people to want to know her.
After all, everyone gets sick sometimes. Knowing an excellent doctor was beneficial for oneself, one's family, and one's interests.
Realizing this, Rachel knew they couldn't cause trouble anymore.
Provoking Olivia again would do them no good.
Aurelia tried hard to control her emotions, took a deep breath, and said, "Fine, of course I'm fine. I'm doing great!"
She withdrew her hateful gaze, not planning to give up.
She still had leverage!
Aurelia's eyes unconsciously looked toward Finnegan in the crowd.
Finnegan hadn't come over to join the commotion.
He had come in with Andrew and the others.
He had seen everything that just happened.
Right now, the look in Finnegan's eyes was hard to read.
Seeing that he showed no sign of stopping Andrew and Olivia's intimate closeness, Aurelia's heart suddenly panicked.
What was going on?
Could Finnegan also be wavering because of Olivia's change in status and position?
That couldn't happen!
Aurelia couldn't accept that possibility!
No matter how capable Olivia was, no matter how impressive her connections were, she had still been married and had children!
Just that fact alone meant she couldn't be with Andrew!
She absolutely had to make a big deal out of this!
The people at the event were all busy with their own things, naturally unaware of what Aurelia was thinking in the corner.
Right now, while the elders were chatting, Evelyn, Daniel, and the others finally had a chance to squeeze up to Olivia.
Evelyn was in an excellent mood.
She patted Olivia's shoulder and said, "Come clean—when did you meet these important people? I had no idea!"
Daniel muttered quietly, "I didn't expect Mr. Whitley to have such a big background!"
He had initially thought Damon's status was similar to those people they knew in Emerald City.
Anna also looked surprised, saying, "And Marigold seems to really care about you, Olivia. You're really amazing! People have tried to connect with Marigold before, but they couldn't catch her eye!"
She looked at Olivia with even more admiration.
Olivia felt embarrassed by the praise. She touched her nose and explained to everyone, "Actually, this isn't my achievement alone. I don't have that kind of ability. I got to know Marigold thanks to Mr. McCoy. As for knowing Mr. Whitley, Andrew made the connection."
She briefly explained the background.
Daniel said nothing, his eyes thoughtfully glancing at Andrew.
So this was what Andrew wanted him to see?
He had to admit, Andrew did it very well.
He gave Olivia enough respect.
He didn't forcefully use the Hamilton family's power to shelter her under his wing.
When people looked down on her, he simply pushed her to a height where others had to look up to her.
This way, Olivia wouldn't have to watch anyone's face or flatter or cater to anyone in Harmony City in the future.
Daniel asked himself—if he had done this, he probably couldn't have done better than Andrew.
Thinking of this, Daniel felt a bit lost, but soon this feeling of loss turned into relief.
At least this time, she had found someone who could protect her.
And someone who truly valued and cherished her from the bottom of his heart.
Daniel still felt a bit unwilling.
After all, this was someone he had liked for many years, feelings he had buried for so long - how could he just let go?
But this affection—he hadn't shown it before, and naturally couldn't reveal it now.
He could only suppress it in his heart, drinking alone, tasting that bit of bitterness.
Evelyn didn't notice his change. Right now, she felt incredibly satisfied. "That Charlotte totally deserved it. Tonight's outcome is what she gets for her own actions! Let's see if she dares to bully people everywhere in the future!"
Liam swirled his wine glass, clicking his tongue in amazement. "The Ross family's secrets were so well hidden, yet Mr. Hamilton managed to dig them up. That's really impressive!"
When the Blake family almost got dragged down back then, they also investigated these matters, but couldn't find anything.
Andrew didn't hide anything about this. He said, "It took some effort, but as long as something has been done, no matter how well hidden, it leaves traces. With enough effort, you can always find it."
Liam thought to himself, 'You make it sound easy. So many years have passed—why didn't anyone else discover it?'
It's still because Andrew's methods are exceptional!
However, Liam could only admire him for it.
While they were talking, quite a few people at the event couldn't hold back and came over to greet them.
And many of them were familiar faces.
The first to come over was a group of men led by Charlie.
He came forward with a smile and raised his glass to Olivia, saying, "Olivia, hello, I'm Charlie. I'm friends with Andrew. We met Bianca before but didn't get to properly meet you. I didn't expect we'd have the chance tonight."
Hearing what he said, Olivia immediately remembered the pile of gifts Bianca had received last time.
She smiled politely and said, "So it was you all. Bianca mentioned it to me last time. You really shouldn't have spent so much."
"Olivia doesn't need to thank us. We already feel bad for not preparing a proper meeting gift for Bianca."
The others chimed in agreement.
After chatting for a while, everyone became familiar with each other.
It was only then that those wealthy young people realized that Olivia was really easy to get along with.
Moreover, she herself was a very charismatic person, nothing like the rumors suggested. Her conversation was exceptional.
Unlike those good-for-nothing rich kids, Olivia was knowledgeable and well-versed in her field. She knew everything, and everyone admired her greatly.
Aurelia watched from not far away, feeling envious.
These people were being so friendly to Olivia! They even took the initiative to approach her—it was like lowering themselves!
Rachel frowned as she watched, saying, "Olivia must be so pleased with herself right now, right?"
She had been in this circle for so long and never received such treatment.
Rachel was also incredibly jealous.
Aurelia gritted her teeth secretly, very unwilling. She said, "Let's go over too!"
"What?"
Rachel didn't react at first, then looked at Aurelia in shock and asked, "What are you going to do? We all saw what happened to Charlotte. Don't do anything stupid!"
Aurelia snorted coldly, "I'm not going to embarrass myself like her. I'm just going to invite Andrew to dance the opening dance with me!"
