Chapter 357 He Regretted It
He rushed forward, trying to stop her.
But with a counter between them, he couldn't get between the two women in time.
Olivia had been on guard all along. Seeing that slap coming down, she reacted quickly.
One hand grabbed her wrist, pulling down with the momentum. A flash of coldness crossed her eyes as her other hand shot up sharply.
A heavy slap landed right back on Charlotte's face.
She snapped coldly, "You treat this place like it's your own home. Always looking for a fight—so this is what the Ross family is all about?"
Anyone would get angry being provoked like this. Olivia's emotions were running high too.
She had never seen such an unreasonable person.
Couldn't grab what she wanted, so now she wanted to hit someone!
She wasn't someone to be pushed around!
She wouldn't just stand there and let herself get hit.
Liam watched the sudden turn of events, so fast he forgot to blink, his face full of shock.
He never expected that this delicate and beautiful woman would actually hit back.
Oh no, this was really going to set off that crazy woman Charlotte!
Just as Liam's expression changed, Charlotte clutched her numb face, fury blazing in her eyes.
"You dare hit me! You're asking for it!" With that shout, she charged at Olivia.
The earlier slap turned into a fist as she attacked Olivia.
Seeing her stance, Olivia's pupils widened slightly.
This woman—had she been trained?
Because it was so sudden, Olivia's reaction was a second slow. She could only back up several steps to dodge the blow.
Seeing her first strike miss, Charlotte immediately followed up.
At this moment, Liam finally snapped out of it. He planted one hand on the counter and flipped over smoothly, grabbing Charlotte's hand. "Charlotte, that's enough!"
Charlotte tried to struggle, but her other hand was also firmly held.
A warning voice came from behind them. "Miss, don't go too far!"
Charlotte was suddenly blocked by two people and couldn't move.
Olivia stood there stunned.
Because she saw that the other person holding Charlotte back was actually Michael's assistant—Robert.
And behind Robert, a wheelchair had appeared at some point.
Michael sat in it, his expression cold, looking at Charlotte with bone-chilling coldness in his eyes.
Olivia frowned hard.
How could she run into him here too?
But she quickly realized—Michael's leg condition had flared up again, so he was probably here seeking medical help.
The space here was only so big, and anyone who knew would know the medical family was at the very back.
Perhaps he happened to see the situation on their side.
By now, both Liam and Robert had let go of Charlotte.
But Charlotte's emotions were hard to calm.
She rubbed her reddened wrists, glaring furiously at Michael. "Who the hell are you?"
Michael looked at her with icy eyes and said, "Try touching her one more time, and you can say goodbye to that hand!"
Having been thwarted several times, Charlotte exploded with curses. "You cripple, you dare threaten me!"
Michael's expression darkened, and he immediately called out behind him, "Robert!"
Without needing orders, Robert understood Michael's meaning.
He stepped forward quickly and, before Charlotte could react, grabbed her shoulder and dislocated her arm right there.
A 'crack' sounded—it must have been dislocated.
"Ahh!" Charlotte screamed and collapsed to the ground.
Olivia watched everything happening before her eyes, looking quite stunned, not knowing how to react for a moment.
The commotion here wasn't small. Especially with Charlotte's loud voice—that one scream drew a crowd of onlookers.
"What happened to her?"
"She's screaming so badly, that hand must be ruined."
"What just happened? How did they start fighting out of nowhere?"
"Two grown men bullying a woman?"
Everyone was talking. Some of the more timid ones were scared by the scene.
The owner of a nearby stall had witnessed the whole thing.
Seeing uninformed passersby misunderstanding, he explained to those around him, "Hey, you can't blame them. That woman started it, insisting on snatching something someone else had seen first. When she couldn't get it, she tried to hit someone, but these two gentlemen stepped in to stop her and taught her a lesson."
In just a few words, he made the situation clear.
Hearing this, people's looks toward Charlotte suddenly lost all sympathy.
Some justice-minded folks couldn't help but scold, "Serves her right! Bullying people with her power, she got what she deserved!"
"Never seen someone so arrogant. Why should someone give up what they saw first?"
"She looks so pretty, but her behavior is so disgusting."
Charlotte naturally heard the surrounding comments too.
Her face turned pale, then white, then red.
But she showed no remorse at all, still shouting from her mouth, "Bitch, you dare treat me like this, I won't let you get away with this."
She cursed and was about to call someone over.
Olivia frowned impatiently, feeling annoyed.
She hadn't expected things to blow up this big.
At that moment, Michael suddenly spoke to her, asking, "Are you hurt?"
Olivia looked up coolly and glanced at him.
The man's expression had less coldness and more warmth and concern.
When Olivia saw it, she only felt it was absurd.
She was actually seeing concern for her on Michael's face?
Olivia found it even more laughable.
Whether he was normal or not, Olivia didn't want to deal with him, and didn't even want the medical book anymore.
She really wanted to find Andrew.
As if by telepathy, that tall figure pushed through the crowd and appeared before her.
"Olivia." When Andrew arrived, he had already heard what happened, his eyes showing concern for Olivia.
Seeing him appear, Olivia's irritated mood finally eased.
She almost without hesitation went toward him and took his arm, "Andrew."
Michael was left standing there, watching that graceful figure move away from him, his expression slightly dazed.
Robert silently watched all this, not at all surprised by Olivia's attitude.
He even thought Michael deserved it.
Back then, when she was still by his side, he didn't know to cherish her.
Now that everything was beyond repair, he finally regretted it.
Since the engagement party was ruined, he had watched Michael go through everything.
After the engagement was canceled, Michael got so angry that he fell ill, and his leg condition flared up. He lay in the hospital for days.
When he woke up again, his whole person had become dark and ruthless.
When Sophia came to beg for forgiveness, the usually gentle and refined man actually got angry and smashed things—like some stress response had been triggered.
Sophia had destroyed his last bit of warmth, and in his rage, he threw a cup that left her bleeding from the head.
He couldn't accept that the person he had thought about for so long was actually so disgraceful and dirty!
The things at the engagement party had torn away Sophia's fig leaf.
And let him know that this woman had betrayed him long ago!
What was more hateful was that because of such a woman, he had hurt his wife, who loved him deeply, and abandoned his own child!
No one could bear Michael's towering rage.
He began to take crazy revenge on Sophia, pushing the entire Brown family to a dead end until they couldn't stay in Emerald City anymore.
Sophia, her mother, and her son refused to leave.
To stay, Sophia went so far as to work in nightclubs, trying to find another powerful person to help her make a comeback.
There, Michael saw the real Sophia.
She was so degraded, so cheap!
For money, she lowered herself, her disgusting face fawning over all kinds of men.
Michael watched coldly, showing her no mercy.
After his revenge, he gradually realized what he had lost.
Robert watched him regain his calm and return to family life, arranging the house the way it was when Olivia and Bianca hadn't left yet.
At the same time, he spent several months quickly delegating work and starting to make moves toward Harmony City.
Robert had seen him many times, returning home alone, facing the cold and empty villa, looking lonely and isolated.
But he couldn't feel any sympathy for him.
After all, what Olivia and Bianca went through back then was the most miserable.
As an outsider, he saw it more clearly than anyone.
That day after day of favoritism toward Sophia, that coldness toward Olivia—that was the knife that killed the heart.
The Olivia who loved him deeply was finally killed by him.
Now he was starting to wake up, starting to regret.
But what good did it do?
Before coming to Harmony City, Robert had actually advised him.
Because he had checked on Olivia's whereabouts and knew she was living well now, her career going smoothly.
His suggestion was not to disturb her life anymore.
But Michael wasn't willing to give up and insisted on coming to Harmony City.
Robert had no choice but to follow orders and come with him.
Now, being ignored by Olivia was perfectly normal.
At this moment, Andrew was looking at Olivia with concern, asking her, "Are you hurt?"
Olivia shook her head, saying, "No."
But her slightly furrowed brow clearly showed her unhappiness.
A rare anger rose in Andrew's heart.
He never expected that in just the short time he was away, she had almost been hit!
Seeing that woman still shouting, a flash of coldness crossed Andrew's eyes.
He looked at Charlotte coolly and said, "You're from the Ross family?"
Charlotte had just finished making a call, shouting that she would make them pay, when she suddenly saw Andrew.
She froze completely.
Her open mouth forgot to close, fear showing on her face.
"You—why are you here?" Charlotte clearly recognized Andrew.
Liam beside her also recognized Andrew. His face showed surprise as he quickly stepped forward, "Mr. Hamilton, why are you here too?"
After asking, he looked at Olivia, who was close to him, and asked curiously, "Do you know this young lady?"
