Chapter 312 It'll Be Alright Soon, Don't Be Afraid
The kiss lasted for who knows how long.
When it ended, Olivia practically melted in Andrew's arms, like a fish washed ashore, nearly stripped of all breath.
Her tongue and lips felt numb, and all the strength seemed drained from her body.
This kiss was even more intoxicating than their first one.
It took her a while to gradually come back to her senses.
It was then that Olivia vaguely sensed something was off.
She'd been sitting on his lap earlier, and after such intimate contact, she suddenly realized she could clearly feel certain changes in his body.
The presence was so strong it was impossible to ignore.
Moreover, during their entanglement just now, while clutching his clothes, she had somehow undone two buttons of his textured shirt.
The man's face was tinged with desire, yet he still carried an air of refined elegance.
Olivia's gaze moved downward, landing on his collarbone and Adam's apple.
Everything about him exuded an indescribable sensuality, even the upturned corners of his eyes carried a hint of red, captivating her heart.
Olivia's face was already flushed from the kiss, and seeing this scene made her even more red-faced and flustered. She hurriedly tried to pull away from him.
Seeing her reaction, Andrew raised his hand and held her in place.
The man's voice was even huskier than before. "Don't move. This is just a normal physical reaction. It'll pass soon. Don't be scared!"
His tone was incredibly gentle, making Olivia instantly forget her panic.
Although the current situation did feel a bit overwhelming, she was willing to trust his words.
She believed he could maintain his composure and wouldn't take advantage of her.
If Andrew knew what she was thinking right now, he'd probably laugh.
What composure? He simply didn't want to scare her.
With the person he liked in his arms, how could he truly be unmoved?
At most, he was just an ordinary person with better emotional self-control!
Andrew held Olivia, turning to look at the dark night outside the window, gradually calming his body's reaction.
After things returned to normal, he lifted her from his lap, gently and carefully fixing her disheveled hair, and asked softly, "You must be tired tonight. Should we head home now? Bianca is probably still waiting for you."
"Okay." Olivia nodded, her mood also recovering from the earlier chaos.
After Andrew gently nuzzled her face, he pressed the partition button and instructed David in the front seat, "Drive. Let's go home."
"Yes." David kept his eyes straight ahead, watching the road.
The black Maybach soon left the hotel.
After the car departed, a shadowy figure emerged from behind the bushes near the hotel entrance.
Aurelia watched the departing car, trembling with rage, her clenched fists digging nails into her palms without her even noticing.
The banquet upstairs had ended after Andrew left with his companion.
Seeing them about to leave, Aurelia had quickly rushed after them.
She refused to believe that Andrew would truly choose a woman like Olivia.
She couldn't accept that Andrew had actively pursued her.
How could she possibly lose to a woman like Olivia?
Aurelia felt deeply unwilling, wanting Andrew to give her an explanation.
But by the time she came out, those two had already gotten into the back seat.
Aurelia had wanted to knock on the car window, but was caught off guard by a scene that made her eyes burn with envy.
She saw that untainted man carefully holding her like some precious treasure, gently seating her on his lap.
What followed was an intimate, lingering kiss that drove her to the extreme of jealousy.
When had she ever seen Andrew like that?
Even in the dim streetlight, she could see the two of them, so reluctant to part.
The man she revered like a deity was being defiled by that shameless woman Olivia.
Aurelia's anger rose from her heart, an indescribable darkness spreading in her eyes.
Jealousy and rage intertwined and surged, turning into something sinister, nearly destroying her lofty pride.
Olivia! She would never let this go!
Andrew must have been deceived by that woman!
Once she exposed that woman's true face, she'd make sure to teach her a proper lesson.
Through the rearview mirror, David watched the figure receding behind the car and smiled faintly.
He'd noticed Aurelia following them early on, lurking sneakily behind the bushes.
Quick-witted as he was, he immediately took advantage of Andrew and Olivia's distraction to quietly switch the car windows to visible mode.
His purpose was to let Aurelia witness with her own eyes the loving scene between Andrew and Olivia.
David had his reasons for doing this.
Previously, Aurelia had repeatedly sought out Andrew, trying to push forward their marriage.
In response, Andrew had publicly rejected the marriage. Given Aurelia's proud nature, she definitely wouldn't let this matter go easily.
Not to mention, she'd been present at tonight's events too.
Call David suspicious if you will.
He felt that Saul going to trouble Olivia was somewhat fishy.
Maybe it was even connected to Aurelia.
Andrew had already set his heart on Olivia, and David naturally followed Andrew's decision.
Besides, Olivia was indeed countless times better than Aurelia.
His earlier action was also part of his duty, letting Aurelia see the situation clearly.
If she was honest and did nothing, that would be fine.
But if she couldn't control herself, then Saul's fate would be her outcome.
Olivia and Andrew were completely unaware of this.
After emerging from their passionate moment, the two continued chatting about Andrew's business trip.
"Didn't you say this trip would take at least three days? It hasn't even been three days and you're already back early. You must have been working overtime late into the night again, right?" Olivia knew he must have been exhausted from compressing his schedule and working so hard.
"Why push yourself so hard? Before you left, Bianca reminded you to take care of yourself and get proper rest, but you turned around and forgot everything." She scolded him with mild reproach.
Andrew listened calmly, a smile playing at his lips, seeming to enjoy this kind of nagging.
David in the front also heard this and thought to himself that finally someone was looking after Andrew.
She nagged almost the entire way, and when the car stopped outside the villa, Andrew finally grasped Olivia's hand and said very honestly, "I know I was wrong. Forgive me this once? I won't do it again."
After speaking, he kissed her hand.
Olivia's face flushed red again.
She was trying to correct his mistake, so why was this man kissing her again!
Seeing her reaction, Andrew chuckled softly. He didn't tease her further and said, "Alright, it's late. We're already home, let's go inside."
Olivia said nothing and quickly got out of the car.
Andrew watched her quickened steps and leisurely followed.
After entering, they discovered Bianca had already gone to bed.
Not being able to see Bianca left Andrew somewhat disappointed. "She went to bed quite early tonight."
Olivia knew they were close, so she said, "It's fine, you'll see her tomorrow. Have you eaten? If not, I'll make you something. Go take a shower first. The clothes in the closet have been washed and are ready to wear."
Hearing this, Andrew raised an eyebrow. "You're letting me stay the night?"
Olivia didn't dare meet his eyes, mumbling, "It's not the first time."
Andrew chuckled softly. "Alright, I'll go wash up then."
He was indeed tired from rushing back from this business trip.
Besides, since she'd asked him to stay, Andrew didn't want to go back and forth, so he quickly went upstairs to wash up.
After he left, Olivia also turned to go to the kitchen to make food.
She spent an hour making three dishes and a soup.
When Andrew came down after washing up, Olivia's gaze fell on him.
The new pajamas fit him perfectly.
The man was already a natural clothes hanger, and what she'd bought was the best quality, so even though they were pajamas, he still wore them with an ineffable air of elegance.
Olivia was satisfied with what she saw.
Andrew soon came to the dining room, and upon seeing the delicious-looking food on the table, the first thing he did was come over and hug her.
Caught in his embrace, Olivia quickly pushed him away, saying, "You've already washed up, I'm dirty, don't hug me..."
Andrew smiled. "It's fine."
As he spoke, he kissed her face. "Thank you for your hard work."
He did this so naturally that Olivia's face inevitably turned red again. She said, "It's nothing."
Andrew took her hand and led her to sit down together, saying, "You haven't eaten tonight either, right? Keep me company."
Then he personally served Olivia a bowl of soup.
Olivia looked at the tableware he'd set out for her, her thoughts drifting.
This scene had an unfamiliar warmth to it.
Back at the Johnson family, when she cooked for them, it was taken for granted.
No one thought she worked hard. Michael would never serve her soup.
More often, the meals she prepared went uneaten, and in the end, the leftovers could only be thrown away.
No one saw her efforts.
But the person before her was different. Andrew saw her hard work.
This recognition, this visible appreciation of her efforts, filled her heart with warmth.
She looked at the man beside her who had already started eating and couldn't help asking softly, "Is it good?"
Andrew took a sip of soup. Olivia's cooking was excellent, and the soup tasted very fresh.
He praised her happily, "It's delicious."
Then he tried the other dishes on the table and praised her warmly, "Olivia, you really are a treasure. But from now on, I won't let you cook so easily."
Olivia was stunned, somewhat confused.
The man held her hand, saying with cherishing care, "Your hands are meant for scientific research, to be used for more meaningful things!"
Olivia was dazed again for a moment, feeling troubled.
Even before they got together, she could sense his thoughtfulness in everything.
Now that they were together, he was even more considerate toward her.
If this continued, she'd probably be so enchanted by him that she'd lose all reason and eventually never be able to leave him!
Andrew didn't know what she was thinking.
Everything he did and said came from the heart.
In his eyes, Olivia was perfect in every way!
The two were being affectionate here.
Little did they know, tonight's events had already formed a storm that was sweeping through the entire upper-class circle of Harmony City.
