Chapter 310 I Took the Bait Voluntarily
The moment Andrew lunged forward, he immediately wrapped his arm around Olivia's waist and stepped back a few paces.
He lowered his eyes slightly, looking at something as if it were filthy, his gaze almost freezing people into ice.
Benjamin knew Andrew didn't want to waste words on this jerk Saul, so he took over.
"Mr. Pena, what did you do wrong? You just took a liking to a woman, got angry when she refused you, that's all. Why are you kneeling? Don't chicken out so fast - show us that arrogant attitude you had earlier!"
Hearing Benjamin's words, Saul's face stiffened. He wanted nothing more than to cover Benjamin's mouth and stop him from continuing.
Andrew was already angry, and Benjamin was doing this to get revenge for being humiliated earlier, wasn't he?
Saul was furious inside, but didn't dare show it on his face. He stayed on the ground in a submissive posture, continuing to apologize. "I was wrong earlier. I drank too much and talked nonsense. I didn't mean to offend Ms. Smith."
Benjamin looked at him casually and said, "Really? You keep saying you were wrong, but you don't actually know what you did wrong, do you?
Looks like the Pena family didn't teach you this either.
Your father and brother share some responsibility too."
Saul's heart jumped, his expression furious. "Benjamin, you bastard..."
He wanted to curse Benjamin - was he deliberately stirring up trouble?
Bringing up his dad and brother at this moment was clearly trying to drag the entire Pena family down with him!
He was kneeling here like a beggar, begging without dignity, hoping that when Andrew settled accounts with him, he wouldn't include the Pena family.
That way, even when he went back, he'd still have a way out.
But Benjamin was pulling this dirty trick!
The curse had barely left Saul's mouth when he felt a cold, oppressive force hit him.
He turned to look and found Andrew staring at him with terrifyingly cold eyes, clearly displeased with his behavior.
Saul shuddered with fear, his whole body trembling.
Benjamin saw it too.
He squatted down next to Saul with a smile, looking down at him. "Mr. Pena, is your memory that bad? Can't remember what you said and did?
Well, that's fine. I have a good memory. I can help you recall how many insulting things you said about Ms. Smith!"
Saul was angry but didn't dare show it. Even his glare at Benjamin wasn't too obvious.
He had to force himself to say apologetic words. "I was confused earlier and said the wrong things. I'll never do it again..."
Benjamin followed his lead. "Well, since you know you said the wrong things, your mouth should be punished, don't you think?"
Saul looked up at him, his voice almost squeezed through his teeth. "Mr. White, you're right!"
Benjamin looked at him leisurely and said, "If you're begging for forgiveness, you need to show some sincerity. Kneeling and crying a few times, saying some nice words - that won't cut it!
Let me remind you, Ms. Smith is someone Andrew worked hard to win over!
You saw it yourself, right? He can't even bear to say a harsh word to her, but you cursed at her at least a hundred times tonight!"
Saul's heart jumped, and he reflexively argued, "It wasn't that many!"
Benjamin smiled. "Oh? More than a hundred? Two hundred then?"
Saul's face turned red with anger.
He was almost certain Benjamin was settling personal scores!
Benjamin didn't care what he thought and cheerfully suggested, "How about this - to show Andrew your sincerity, slap yourself four hundred times first.
Just doubling it in return, that's not too much, right?"
Saul's eyes could practically shoot fire.
Benjamin was asking him to slap himself in front of all these people - this wasn't just humiliation.
It was trampling his dignity into the ground!
How could he continue in Harmony City's social circle after this?
Saul naturally refused.
Benjamin saw this and said, "What, you're unwilling? Do you think Ms. Smith's status is lower than yours?
You were quite smooth with all that harassment and insults earlier.
Why can't you handle it when it's your turn?"
When he brought up what happened earlier again, Saul's anger felt like it had been doused with cold water.
He realized again that the person negotiating with him wasn't Benjamin - it was Andrew.
He had no right to bargain with them.
Considering this matter concerned the Pena family's survival, Saul didn't dare refuse.
He said through gritted teeth, "Fine! I'll do it!"
In front of Andrew, he didn't dare be perfunctory or play tricks. He had to grit his teeth and, under everyone's gaze, raise his hand and slap himself.
The people around were shocked to see this.
They didn't expect Saul would actually hit himself.
But thinking about it, who could walk away unscathed after offending Andrew?
Full of humiliation but not daring to say anything, Saul raised his left hand and gave himself a second slap.
David spoke up then, saying with dissatisfaction, "Mr. Pena, didn't you eat dinner tonight? Is that all the strength you have? How about I have someone bring you food now, and you can eat before continuing?"
He was saying the slaps were too light.
Even Andrew's capable assistant was saying this, so Saul knew he couldn't avoid this punishment tonight.
Just as he was about to put more force into the next one, Benjamin added, "If it's too much trouble, I can find someone to do it for you."
Saul gritted his teeth.
If someone else did it, would he have any way out?
The people around Andrew were rumored to have gone through life-and-death training. If they slapped him, it could probably take half his life!
Saul definitely couldn't agree, so he said through clenched teeth, "No need, I'll do it myself!"
Then he started hitting harder.
This slap was much louder than before. After hitting himself, a handprint immediately appeared on his face.
Saul felt his face go numb.
"That's more like it, now that shows some sincerity." Benjamin nodded, signaling him to continue.
Saul was furious but didn't dare stop or go easy on himself.
The sound of slapping echoed continuously at the scene.
Watching, everyone could tell Saul was really using force.
That face, which wasn't very attractive to begin with, had already swollen beyond recognition in just this short time.
However, Andrew just watched coldly without telling him to stop.
After who knows how long, Saul's face couldn't take his own beating anymore, and blood started flowing from the corner of his mouth.
He was even feeling dizzy and could barely kneel anymore when Andrew finally asked Olivia gently, "Are you tired? Should I take you back?"
Olivia had wanted to leave for a while.
But hearing Andrew's words, she still looked at Evelyn to see what she thought.
Evelyn immediately said, "I'm ready to go too!"
Olivia nodded, then said to Andrew, "Let's go then."
"Okay." Andrew took her hand and prepared to leave with her.
As they passed by Saul, he suddenly paused and said, "You got one thing wrong today. Olivia doesn't need to find a sugar daddy at all. She has me, and that's enough.
And I willingly took the bait! Got it?"
Saul quickly nodded vigorously, not daring to disagree.
Right now, his heart was filled with endless regret.
If he had known Olivia was Andrew's woman, he would never have dared to approach her, no matter what.
But it was all too late now.
The guests at the scene had been shocked all evening, but hearing Andrew's words, they were stunned again.
Did Andrew mean he pursued Olivia first?
With these words, it was practically a public announcement.
So many wealthy heiresses in Harmony City couldn't get this man, but someone from Emerald City who had been divorced beat them to it.
The wealthy heiresses present were so jealous they could bite through their teeth.
But honestly, when someone like Andrew fell in love, the way he protected his person was truly charming!
Many people were both attracted and heartbroken.
Who wouldn't want to be his treasured one?
This woman was so lucky!
As for Olivia, all she felt at this moment was touched.
Everything that happened tonight - from being slandered and insulted with anger, to having her emotions soothed - now only the person in front of her remained in her eyes.
He said being with her meant having no worries.
This was true - he never intended to wrong himself.
Facing those people's attention again, Olivia's heart had become much calmer.
Soon, Andrew left the banquet with his group.
Behind him followed Benjamin, Evelyn, and Jade...
Outside the hotel, Evelyn finally couldn't hold back her emotions. She said to Olivia excitedly, "Olivia, that was so satisfying! Watching that jerk slap himself - it was so gratifying! I wanted to applaud!"
Then she boldly patted Benjamin's shoulder and praised him too. "Benjamin, you were great! You were so cool earlier. That bastard deserved to be taught a lesson!"
Benjamin looked at her exaggerated expression and couldn't help but smile. "Teaching that kind of bully is pretty easy."
Jade also laughed at Evelyn. "So that's why you dared to confront Saul earlier - you knew you had this kind of backup."
She smiled at Andrew and said, "Mr. Hamilton, you're so lucky to find such an excellent beauty to be by your side."
Andrew nodded politely. "Yes."
Hearing this, Evelyn couldn't take it anymore and quickly urged, "Stop it, stop showing off your relationship. Have some respect for us single people's feelings. Hurry up and take Olivia back.
She told me you've been on a business trip these past few days. I'm sure you two have a lot to talk about tonight. We won't disturb you."
Hearing this, Olivia felt a bit helpless and asked her, "What about you?"
Evelyn said, "Don't worry about me. I finally get to see Mr. White, and I want to go out for drinks with him later. I just don't know if Mr. White has time?"
Benjamin smiled and said, "Of course."
Seeing them say this, Jade chimed in, "Count me in too. Going back at this hour with nothing to do would be pretty boring."
"Sure!"
So they settled it like that.
