Chapter 272 Meeting Him
Maybe knowing her friend was feeling down, Evelyn dragged Olivia to a bar for drinks the next evening.
Evelyn thought drinking could wash away the worries.
Olivia never touched alcohol in her daily life, except when necessary for business.
But after Evelyn's encouragement, she agreed to go out together.
The bar's lighting was dim. People who came here were looking to get drunk, and nobody paid attention to strangers around them. Everyone just drank their own drinks.
Evelyn ordered drinks, and they drank glass after glass with Olivia.
Since most were cocktails with low alcohol content, they didn't get drunk that quickly. Evelyn actually enjoyed this half-dreaming feeling.
Just as she was about to have another drink, Olivia beside her tugged at her sleeve and said, "Slow down a bit, don't get drunk right after we walk in."
Evelyn laughed foolishly. Just as she was about to say something, she saw someone lying on the sofa in the next booth.
It was still early, but judging by their appearance, they were already drunk out of their mind, with empty bottles scattered messily all over the table.
Evelyn pointed at the person and said, "You think my tolerance is as bad as his? How could I get drunk that easily?"
She took another sip and sighed, "Look, there are so many frustrated people in this world. Let them get drunk. After getting drunk and waking up, they'll continue living their lives."
Olivia looked at that guy's back and felt it looked somewhat familiar.
A server came over to deliver drinks and heard them talking about the person next door, so he added, "That handsome guy came in the afternoon. We weren't even open yet, but he threw money around to get in early. After coming in, he didn't need any other service, just drinks."
Hearing this, Evelyn couldn't help asking, "He drank so much, won't something happen to him?"
The server said, "No, don't worry. We've already checked on him. He's just drunk, nothing's wrong with him."
"Oh."
The two nodded and said nothing more.
However, maybe because this person was so unusual, Olivia and Evelyn kept glancing over there.
The person was curled up on the sofa, face against the backrest, so they couldn't see his face, but that figure...
Olivia still felt the more she looked, the more familiar it seemed. "I feel like I've seen him somewhere..."
Her quiet mumbling was heard by Evelyn.
She also clapped her hands and said, "Right? I have the same feeling, like I've seen him somewhere!"
After thinking hard for a while, Evelyn suddenly asked, "Olivia, don't you think that person looks a lot like Mr. White?"
Olivia realized it too at that moment, "It really does seem like Benjamin!"
Their expressions showed shock, and they quickly got up to check.
Evelyn didn't have many concerns and directly went over to turn the person around.
When she saw the person's face, she exclaimed, "Oh wow, it really is him!"
She would never mistake this handsome face.
"What happened to Mr. White? Why did he drink so much?"
Olivia shook her head and said, "Not sure."
From when she first met Benjamin until now, he had always been refined and polite, occasionally playful.
But she had never seen him dead drunk like this!
What happened?
As friends, given the current situation, they couldn't just ignore him.
Olivia immediately checked on him and only felt relieved after confirming he was just drunk.
Benjamin still had a bit of hazy consciousness. Feeling someone pulling at him, he impatiently waved his hand and buried his head back into the sofa.
Seeing him like this, Olivia said to Evelyn, "Let's get him out of here first."
Now that he was completely drunk, leaving him alone, who knows what might happen.
"Okay." Evelyn had no objection.
But Benjamin's body was too heavy. Just the two of them couldn't carry him out.
Evelyn even slipped and tripped herself, falling onto the sofa.
Olivia made a quick decision and said, "Let's get the server to help."
"Alright!" Evelyn immediately went and also asked the server for a rest room.
The server naturally wouldn't refuse them.
After all, these customers were generous spenders.
Plus, in business, nobody wants incidents at their place.
Otherwise, they'd be the ones in trouble.
After bringing him to the rest room, Olivia asked the server to bring some hot water.
"I have hangover medicine in my bag. We can give it to Mr. White later."
Evelyn was glad she hadn't drunk much earlier, otherwise she wouldn't be able to help this much now.
After the server brought hot water, they also brought a clean towel to help wipe Benjamin's face.
Olivia helped take care of him along with them.
Because Benjamin had drunk too much, he was completely drunk now.
Although he wasn't acting crazy, just very docile, his instinctive alertness made him very uncooperative.
The process of feeding him the hangover medicine was quite difficult.
Olivia was exhausted and out of breath.
Evelyn also collapsed on the sofa. With no other choice, she said to the server, "You hold his mouth open, I'll feed him! I don't believe he won't swallow it!"
"This... doesn't seem right?" The server thought this method was a bit rough.
He didn't dare offend customers, even drunk ones.
"Nothing wrong with it. If anything happens, I'll take responsibility."
The server had no choice but to comply.
After feeding him the medicine, Evelyn was drenched in sweat.
The server, afraid Benjamin would blame them when he woke up, left with the things first.
Olivia and Evelyn didn't stop him.
Only then did the two have time to discuss Benjamin's situation.
"Olivia, you think he got himself this drunk because he got dumped after a breakup?"
Olivia thought about it seriously for once, then shook her head, "I don't think so. I haven't heard about Mr. White having a girlfriend before."
Evelyn frowned and said, "Then did something else happen? What should we do now?"
Olivia's expression hesitated for a few seconds.
Before, when Andrew was around, they could contact him if anything happened.
But now Andrew was in Harmony City.
Even if she contacted him, it would be too far to help.
And Benjamin's family seemed to all be in Harmony City too.
As for colleagues, it wouldn't be good to call someone over this late at night.
Olivia thought through all the options but couldn't think of anyone suitable. Finally, she said to Evelyn, "Looks like we'll have to stay and watch over him tonight...
No matter what, Mr. White has helped Bianca a lot. We're friends. Seeing him like this, I can't just leave him."
"Right, we should at least wait until he wakes up before leaving." Evelyn nodded, also unable to leave with peace of mind.
So she stayed with Olivia, waiting for him to wake up.
The two sat chatting and continued drinking.
Olivia was worried that if they both got drunk, they couldn't look after Benjamin, so she didn't drink.
As a result, all the alcohol went into Evelyn's stomach, and she got herself tipsy.
As time passed, it was soon late at night.
Olivia started getting sleepy too.
She wanted to hold on a bit longer, but she rarely stayed up late, and by the early morning hours, she was starting to lose the battle.
Just as she was drowsily about to fall asleep, the door to the room was suddenly knocked from outside.
Olivia jolted awake, all sleepiness gone.
Evelyn beside her had no reaction, already sleeping soundly, dead to the world.
Seeing this, Olivia could only move her to the side, cover her with a blanket, then go open the door.
Olivia thought it would be the server.
But when she looked up, she never expected to see a face that made her lose focus.
Standing at the door was none other than Andrew, whom she had just been thinking about!
Not having seen him for a while, the man wore a high-quality black shirt paired with black dress pants of the same color. His whole demeanor was cold and distant, and his chiseled face showed no obvious emotion.
Those deep eyes carried an unfathomable quality.
Behind him were David, two bodyguards, and the server who had left earlier.
At first glance, Olivia thought she was confused from sleepiness and seeing things.
She stood there for a long time without reacting.
The server spoke up then, saying respectfully to Andrew, "Sir, it's this lady and her friend who have been taking care of that drunk gentleman."
Andrew's expression seemed to suddenly relax. He replied lightly, "Got it, you can go."
The server was somewhat intimidated by his presence and didn't dare stay long, quickly leaving.
From entering until now, Andrew's gaze had been on Olivia's face.
Seeing her lack of response, he raised his hand and lightly tapped her between the eyebrows, asking, "What are you spacing out about?"
Only then did Olivia open her eyes wide in surprise.
She really hadn't seen wrong.
It was Andrew!
"What are you doing here?"
As soon as she said this, she asked again, "Did you just rush over from Harmony City?"
Andrew didn't deny it, saying, "I couldn't reach Benjamin and was worried something happened to him, so I came over specially. Didn't expect to run into you guys!"
As he spoke, his gaze swept inside, seeing Benjamin sleeping sprawled out, and Evelyn lying by his bedside.
He asked Olivia in a gentle voice, "You've been here taking care of him this whole time?"
"Yeah." Olivia nodded and told him honestly, "Tonight Evelyn and I came here, didn't expect to run into Mr. White. He was already drunk. We couldn't just leave him, but couldn't take him away either, so we could only let him rest here."
As she spoke, she stepped aside to let Andrew in.
Andrew and David walked inside together.
They were hit with a strong smell of alcohol.
Benjamin was more drunk than they had imagined.
Andrew's brow furrowed slightly as he asked Olivia, "How is he?"
Olivia knew he was worried, so she told him, "Nothing serious, just really drunk. Evelyn and I already gave him medicine. He'll probably need to sleep through the night. He should be fine when he wakes up tomorrow."
"Okay."
Andrew nodded, "Thanks for your trouble. You don't need to worry about the rest. I'll have someone take him back."
With that, he looked at David behind him.
David immediately understood and told the bodyguards to come carry him back.
Benjamin was completely out of it now and was obediently taken away just like that.
