Chapter 251Fortunately, She Is Fine
After returning home, the first thing Sophia did was take a shower.
Her affair with Arthur was exciting, sure, but she was more worried about Michael discovering something.
As time passed, Olivia's emotions about the news regarding Rodolfo had gradually calmed down.
Although the Johnson Group had interfered, over time, other topics would cover it up, and internet users wouldn't keep obsessing over it.
Especially since the official side never came out to respond, which made netizens doubt the truth of the whole thing.
Rodolfo hoped the controversy would just blow over.
Although Olivia felt a bit annoyed, she could only let it go.
Otherwise, if she made a move, it would draw attention back to Rodolfo.
After several days of treatment and rest, Rodolfo's health had improved a lot. Olivia was sent back to work and returned to her busy routine.
After Andrew came back, Bianca's treatment plan was put back on the schedule.
However, this time, because Andrew was injured, Olivia didn't plan to have him take Bianca out.
She figured the treatment could be done at home.
She had discussed this idea with Andrew.
Andrew also said, "That works. I'll have David pick up Bianca and bring her to my place."
Olivia said, "I can bring her over too."
Maple Grove Villa was all detached luxury homes.
Although they were in the same area, each villa was actually some distance apart.
Andrew's place was the most luxurious.
Outside the villa, there was a large artificial lake, plus a vast golf course and a helipad.
The grounds were just as impressive as that seaside estate.
After Bianca arrived, she was curious about everything inside and outside the villa.
Andrew held her hand and asked gently, "Want to go boating on the lake?"
His artificial lake was built beautifully.
It wasn't just a simple lake—there were decorative rock formations around it, arched bridges, weeping willows, and not far away, a pavilion where you could enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The lake water was crystal clear, with specially planted water plants at the bottom.
Among the swaying green water plants, colorful koi fish swam through.
By the lake, there was a pretty little wooden boat that could be rowed by hand.
Boating on the lake was something Bianca had never experienced.
Bianca stared excitedly at the little boat and said happily to Andrew, "Yes! I want to row the boat!"
"Alright, let's do it." Andrew said indulgently.
Soon, all three of them got on the boat. Andrew picked up the oars and started rowing.
He also found a small oar for Bianca and taught her how to move forward, backward, and turn.
Facing something new, Bianca learned very seriously.
Olivia didn't know how to row either, so this was her first time too, and she listened just as carefully.
Slowly, the boat drifted to the middle of the lake.
Bianca had already learned a bit and was very happy.
Especially when they reached the center of the lake, Andrew gave her a small bag of fish food and had her sprinkle it around the boat with him.
As soon as the food hit the water, the koi in the lake started going crazy, rushing to the boat.
Countless koi surrounded the boat in a circle, their bright colors very eye-catching. The scene was quite beautiful and delightful.
Not just Bianca, even Olivia found it lovely.
She couldn't help reaching out to touch the koi that jumped out of the water.
The koi weren't afraid of people. When her hand came close, they even moved toward her, nibbling gently at her fingertips, making Olivia's fingers tickle.
The feeling was novel, and she laughed softly.
Seeing Olivia play like this, Bianca was eager to try too.
But Bianca was more timid and a bit scared, not daring to reach out directly.
So she asked Olivia, "What does it feel like to play with the koi?"
Olivia didn't answer directly, but asked Bianca, "Want to try? I think it's fun. If you're interested, I can hold your hand and touch them."
"Okay!" Bianca nodded and immediately let go of the oar in her hand.
The oar was prepared for her anyway—small and light.
When she let go, one side fell into the water. After Bianca finished playing with the fish, she noticed the oar had floated away.
"Ah, I need to get it back, I want to row!" Bianca shouted and leaned out to grab it, completely ignoring the danger.
This scared Olivia badly.
She was worried the child would fall into the water and quickly lunged toward her.
However, she didn't notice that because she suddenly stood up, the whole little boat lost its balance.
"Watch out!" Andrew shouted, quickly catching Bianca who almost fell into the water.
By the time he noticed Olivia's side, it was too late—she fell into the water with a splash.
"Mommy..." Bianca was terrified.
Andrew's expression changed. He immediately steadied the boat to prevent it from capsizing.
Once it was stable, he put Bianca aside and said soothingly, "Don't be scared. I'll go save your mommy. Just sit still and don't move!"
Bianca had never experienced anything like this and was so scared her face turned pale.
But after hearing Andrew's words, she nodded obediently and said, "I won't move. Daddy, go save Mommy quickly!"
Andrew had planned to just pull Olivia out of the water.
But because Olivia fell in unexpectedly, she choked on a big gulp of water.
There were fish all around the boat, and they scattered in fright when she fell in.
The water rushed violently, and Olivia was tossed around, sinking to the bottom.
What was worse, she felt like her hands and feet were tangled in water plants.
The spot where she fell was right in the middle of the lake, where the water was much deeper than near the shore.
She tried several times but found her feet couldn't touch the bottom at all.
In the chaos and panic, Olivia choked on several more mouthfuls of water.
But soon, her mind calmed down.
She suddenly held her breath, took in some air, and tried to steady herself.
Just then, another splash sounded—Andrew had jumped in.
Like a nimble fish, he quickly swam to Olivia's side, helped untangle the water plants, then wrapped his arm around her waist and lifted her to the surface.
Only then could Olivia breathe.
She coughed violently, her nose and mouth terribly uncomfortable from the water.
She couldn't worry about anything else—she could only instinctively grab onto the man's shoulders with her hands.
Andrew didn't say anything either and immediately swam with her toward the shore.
The bodyguards and David above had noticed something was wrong and rushed over, lending a hand from the shore. Soon they got both of them onto land.
The villa's servants heard the news and hurriedly brought blankets and towels.
Andrew took them and immediately wrapped Olivia up, asking with concern, "Olivia, how are you?"
His handsome face showed rare nervousness, his voice a bit tight.
Bianca was also carried off the boat by the bodyguards.
Seeing Olivia soaking wet, she rushed over anxiously, her little voice tearful as she asked, "Mommy, are you okay?"
David didn't just stand there either—he quickly had someone contact a doctor.
After Olivia caught her breath a bit, she waved at him and said, "No need to call a doctor, I'm fine."
She was completely soaked and looked a bit disheveled.
Andrew's expression darkened slightly as he asked, "Are you really okay?"
Olivia nodded and said, "I just choked on some water, I'm really fine, don't worry."
After telling Andrew, she went on to comfort the frightened Bianca, saying, "Baby, don't be scared, I'm okay."
Bianca stared at her anxiously and asked, "Really truly?"
Her eyes were red as she looked her over worriedly.
"Really! Look, I can still talk to you clearly, which means I'm fine." She quickly gave a definite answer.
Bianca observed for several seconds before believing Olivia's words and breathing a sigh of relief.
Then her little hand gripped Olivia tightly, refusing to let go.
Olivia knew she was scared and wanted to hug her too.
But considering her clothes were all wet, she had to give up for now.
She needed to go back to Rodolfo's place first and change.
After thinking this through, Olivia said to Andrew, "I'll go back to Mr. McCoy's place first to change out of these wet clothes. You should go change too. You still have injuries, and you were just in the water. You need to disinfect and redress them."
Although the lake water was clean, who knew what bacteria might be in it.
Olivia always took health issues seriously.
Andrew nodded, "I'll have David help me change the dressing. You go change first, don't catch a cold."
Olivia had no objection.
But before leaving, she noticed Andrew's expression didn't look too good.
She didn't know if it was her imagination, but he seemed to have a bit of self-blame on his face.
Olivia spoke up to comfort him, "Don't take what just happened to heart. It's not your fault. I didn't control my balance properly, that's why I fell in. I'm really fine."
Andrew just said "Mm."
Only he knew that right now, he still felt lingering fear and some self-blame.
Honestly, he was surprised himself at having such strong emotions, so his gaze at Olivia was especially deep.
A voice in his heart said, thank goodness she was okay.
Olivia didn't linger there long and soon returned to Rodolfo's villa.
Seeing her looking like a drowned rat, both Rodolfo and Simon were startled.
"Olivia, what happened to you? Did you fall in the lake?"
Olivia thought to herself, Rodolfo guessed right.
"Yeah, I fell in the lake. I was rowing with Bianca earlier and wasn't careful, but I'm fine." She briefly explained the situation to them both.
After hearing this, Rodolfo scolded her, "Why did you two go play on the lake? How dangerous!"
Simon didn't join in the nagging but said with concern, "Ms. Smith, don't talk so much now. Go take a hot shower first so you don't catch a cold."
Rodolfo remembered this too and quickly urged, "Simon, have the kitchen make her a bowl of ginger soup to ward off the cold."
"Okay, I'll go right away!" Simon hurried off to give the orders.
