Chapter 211 Want a Kiss?
Sophia spoke with deep emotion and sincerity.
Although Aiden didn't know why Michael was so angry, seeing Sophia's expression, he took the opportunity to act cute and said, "Daddy Michael, I never bullied Bianca. Don't believe it."
As he said this, he tried hard to look especially wronged, his eyes filling with tears.
Michael looked at them, unable to tell for a moment who was lying.
Thinking about Olivia taking his daughter and getting entangled with another man, he was more inclined to believe Sophia's version.
That was right, Bianca was still so young—what would a little kid know? How could she say such things?
If Olivia hadn't put her up to it, how would she get the idea of changing daddies?
Thinking of this, Michael was quite furious.
He shouldn't have let Olivia take custody of Bianca in the first place!
Look what she'd turned the child into now!
The more Michael thought about it, the more irritated he became. He said to Sophia and her son, "Enough, let's stop here for today. Take Aiden home first. I still have work to do."
After saying this, he got straight into the car and told Robert to drive directly to the company.
"Go investigate Bianca's award. Also, who exactly is that man? Why can't we find any specific information about him yet?"
When mentioning Andrew, Michael's tone became even more impatient.
Robert didn't dare say much and could only agree.
Sophia stood there, watching Michael get in the car and leave without looking back. She was furious inside.
Why did that bitch Olivia always have to ruin her plans?
Finally, Aiden had been somewhat useful, but this hard-won warm moment was destroyed by Olivia again!
Sophia was grinding her teeth in hatred.
That evening, Robert sent Michael information about Bianca's award-winning work on his phone.
When he saw that mature artwork, Michael was initially in disbelief.
Was this really drawn by Bianca?
The signature couldn't be faked.
His daughter had really won first prize in the competition.
Michael felt extremely conflicted.
The painting style he had once looked down on was actually a priceless treasure in the eyes of professionals.
At the same time, a sense of pride and honor rose in his chest.
No matter how Olivia influenced her, this was still his daughter, the Johnson family bloodline—just that outstanding.
Michael didn't want to disappoint his daughter. He wanted to make amends!
So he instructed Robert, "Find a way to buy some paintings. I want to give them to Bianca next week."
"Mr. Johnson..." Robert hesitated, wanting to tell him that she might not accept them.
But Michael's uncompromising attitude made him give up. "Okay, I'll do it right away."
Olivia didn't know about Michael's plans.
She slept very soundly.
Bianca woke up early and searched the whole house for daddy.
Olivia also woke up and saw the child looking for Andrew everywhere. Her head ached.
She had thought that after a good sleep, Bianca's condition would improve, but it hadn't.
"Where did daddy go? Doesn't he want me anymore?"
The little voice was full of grievance. Olivia didn't know how to comfort her.
Fortunately, Yara came to coax Bianca following Andrew's instructions. "He didn't abandon you. He went to work and told you to wait at home. He'll bring you a gift when he comes back."
"Really?" Bianca was a bit skeptical.
"Really! I'm not lying to you!"
With Yara's assurance, Bianca finally calmed down, looking forward to Andrew coming back with a gift.
Olivia breathed a slight sigh of relief. Seeing Bianca playing with toys on the carpet by herself, she had Yara go prepare breakfast while she stayed with the child.
Just then, her phone received a message from Andrew.
He was asking Olivia about Bianca's current state.
Olivia told him honestly: [She was making a fuss looking for you. Yara managed to calm her down.]
Olivia felt helpless, then reminded Andrew: [Don't worry about it. I'll buy a gift later to give her, saying it's from you.]
After what happened yesterday, Olivia really didn't want it to happen again.
She was afraid of interfering with Andrew's important matters.
Andrew understood her thinking and had no objections.
After chatting for a while, Yara had prepared breakfast. Olivia put down her phone and took Bianca to eat.
After eating, worried she would still be thinking about daddy, Olivia found something for Bianca to do.
In the morning, she took her to Selene's to learn music. In the afternoon, she brought her back to Rodolfo's villa to keep him company.
Rodolfo was very fond of Bianca now and had all kinds of treats and toys ready for her.
Although Bianca was distracted, she didn't forget to save good things for daddy.
She put the candy Rodolfo just gave her into her backpack.
Rodolfo thought she was reluctant to eat it and coaxed her, "Bianca, if you want to eat it, go ahead. I've prepared lots more for you!"
Bianca shook her head and said in her sweet voice, "No, Bianca is saving it for daddy!"
Hearing this, Rodolfo couldn't help but frown.
After Bianca went to play nearby, he looked at Olivia with confusion. "Is the child that dependent on that Michael guy? Didn't you say before that he doesn't care about her or look after her?"
He couldn't help worrying that this would lead to Olivia getting entangled with that man again.
Olivia felt helpless and had to explain the situation to her master. "The daddy she's talking about isn't Michael. Yesterday when I took Bianca to the art exhibition, we ran into them again. Bianca was upset, her condition relapsed, and she mistook the psychologist for her daddy."
After hearing this, Rodolfo was both angry and heartbroken. His cane thumped loudly on the ground. "That Michael is really inhuman! You should try to keep Bianca away from him in the future!"
"Yes."
Olivia nodded. "I'll try my best to avoid it."
If possible, she never wanted them to meet again.
That evening when mother and daughter were leaving, Bianca carried a bag full of treats, saying she wanted to take them home for daddy.
Olivia didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but could only let her.
When they got home that night, Evelyn was there too.
Bianca usually had a good relationship with her, so she generously shared some of her snacks with Evelyn.
This made Evelyn's heart melt, and she hugged and kissed the little one for quite a while.
Bianca giggled in her arms but didn't forget to ask Olivia, "When is daddy coming back? I want to give him the snacks!"
Olivia's head started aching again.
But she couldn't speak harshly to the child, so she could only continue coaxing her. "Daddy is on a business trip. He might not be back until the weekend. Bianca needs to be good!"
Bianca looked utterly disappointed and asked pitifully, "Then... can we video call?"
Olivia's expression hesitated.
Evelyn had already heard about yesterday's events from Yara.
Seeing Bianca missing her daddy with that pitiful expression broke her heart.
This time, she sided with Bianca.
Evelyn encouraged Olivia, saying, "Just call him. Mr. Hamilton is so good to Bianca, he'd definitely be willing to help with this."
Olivia actually didn't want to do this. Once or twice was fine.
But what if Bianca's condition didn't improve for a long time—would they have to keep having Andrew play daddy?
They had no real relationship. If she indulged the child in calling him that, wouldn't it damage his reputation?
What if Andrew had a girlfriend in the future? It would be hard to explain.
Moreover, Olivia didn't want to give Bianca false hope.
In the future, if Andrew returned to Harmony City, who would respond to her?
After thinking it over, she still declined. "Daddy is busy. We'll contact him when he's not busy, okay?"
Since Olivia put it that way, Bianca could only reluctantly agree. "Okay then, later then."
Olivia was relieved to see her being so reasonable, then waited for Bianca to get sleepy.
As long as she fell asleep, tonight would be over.
But she kept waiting and waiting, and Bianca kept waiting and waiting. It was almost ten o'clock, and her eyes were still wide open.
Every few minutes, she'd ask Olivia, "Is daddy done with work now?"
"Not yet. When daddy finishes, he'll contact you on his own."
Bianca could only keep waiting.
Time flew to eleven o'clock. Bianca had never stayed up this late before. She'd yawned several times and was obviously getting sleepy, but she kept forcing her eyes open, determined to wait for her daddy.
Olivia sat beside her, her head throbbing.
Evelyn watched with amusement and said, "Why insist on being stubborn with a little kid? If you'd just let her video call Mr. Hamilton for a few minutes earlier, she'd be asleep by now instead of struggling like this."
Olivia hadn't expected the little one to be so persistent.
With no other choice, she sent Andrew a message asking if it was convenient.
Andrew didn't reply to the message, but a video call came through quickly.
Olivia hurriedly called to Bianca, "Video call—should I answer it?"
Bianca perked up and rushed over to grab the phone.
Andrew's face appeared on the screen. Bianca looked especially happy and called to him in her sweet childlike voice, "Daddy, when are you coming back?"
"Not done with work yet." After answering, Andrew asked gently, "Bianca, why aren't you asleep yet?"
The little girl pouted and said pitifully, "Daddy, I wanted to wait for you to come back and video call you, but mommy said you were busy with work and I couldn't disturb you, so I waited for you to finish..."
This pitiful complaint made Andrew raise an eyebrow and glance at Olivia beside her.
Olivia said nothing, but her expression was very helpless.
Andrew understood immediately.
He chuckled and said, "I see. I was indeed busy, but next time if you want to chat, you can call directly. It's fine. I really can't come back these days, but I have time for a few words."
"Okay!"
Hearing Andrew say this, Bianca immediately smiled happily.
Then she asked with concern, "Daddy, are you tired from work? Don't work too hard, or I'll feel bad, and mommy will feel bad too."
Andrew's eyes deepened as he glanced at Olivia again and asked, "Is that so?"
Olivia stared with her beautiful eyes, thinking, 'You little rascal, how can you make things up? I didn't say that!'
However, Bianca in her arms didn't notice Olivia's near-breakdown expression at all and continued, "Yes!"
Andrew didn't deliberately tease Olivia.
He said with a smile, "Okay, I understand. I'll make sure to rest, but you need to pay attention too. You're a little kid and need to sleep early. Staying up this late like tonight won't do—you won't grow tall in the future."
"Okay, I know!"
Bianca obediently agreed, then asked, "So daddy, will you come back in a few days?"
"Yes." Andrew readily agreed. "I'll come see you on Saturday."
Hearing this definite answer, Bianca's expression brightened. "Okay! Then daddy, go to sleep early. Good night."
She generously blew a kiss, then eagerly invited Olivia. "Mommy, do you want to say good night and give daddy a kiss too?"
