Chapter 174 She Suits My Taste More

Chapter 176 Carrying You Will Be Faster

Andrew glanced back and saw Olivia trying to pull her shoe out.

Unfortunately, the heel was stuck too tight.

She tugged for a long time, but it wouldn't budge. She was getting a bit anxious.

She couldn't help muttering under her breath. "Just my luck..."

David, standing behind her, couldn't hold back and burst out laughing with a "pfft."

He'd known Olivia for so long and was used to seeing her composed and steady. This was the first time he'd seen her act like a little kid.

He laughed so loudly that Olivia, still wrestling with her shoe, heard him. She stopped and looked at him unhappily, saying, "What are you laughing at? Stop laughing at me!"

Her annoyed expression left David with no doubt that if he kept laughing, she'd come over and hit him.

He quickly suppressed his laughter and said honestly, "Okay, I'll stop laughing, I'll stop!"

Only then did Olivia look away and continue staring at her shoe.

Andrew, who had witnessed the whole thing, had a hint of amusement in his eyes.

He walked over to Olivia and said gently. "Let me take a look."

Olivia looked at him expectantly.

Andrew said, "Take your shoe off first and see if you can pull it out by hand."

"Oh."

Olivia obediently pulled her foot out of the shoe. When she stepped on the ground, her movements were a bit awkward.

Andrew was about to crouch down to get the shoe out.

Seeing this, David quickly spoke up, "Mr. Hamilton, let me do it. You just help Dr. Garcia..."

After saying this, he crouched down first to help pull the shoe out.

But he used too much force. There was a "crack" sound.

David was stunned.

The heel broke...

He'd broken it off...

This was really awkward.

David looked up reluctantly and apologized to Olivia, "Dr. Garcia, I'm sorry, um... I think the shoe can't be worn anymore?"

Andrew saw what happened and was a bit speechless at David, "Could you have used any more force?"

David looked innocent, "Mr. Hamilton, I didn't expect... the shoe would be so fragile."

Would it still be okay if he bought Olivia a new pair now?

Olivia stared at the broken heel for quite a while, finally noticing the atmosphere was a bit tense.

She said after a long delay, "Oh, it's fine. I'll just walk barefoot then."

After saying this, she was about to take off the shoe on her other foot.

But Andrew didn't let her do that. Instead, he reached out to stop her, saying, "No need. The ground is cold. If you walk back barefoot, you'll catch a cold."

"Then what should we do?"

Olivia looked at him blankly.

"I'll carry you."

After Andrew said this, without waiting for Olivia's reaction, he simply scooped her up in his arms.

Olivia only felt everything blur for a moment, and the next second, she landed securely in Andrew's embrace.

Her slow brain didn't notice anything wrong with this. She just instinctively held onto Andrew's shoulders.

Andrew explained, "This way is faster."

As soon as he finished speaking, he carried her toward the parking lot.

If this had been any other time, Olivia would probably have felt embarrassed.

But tonight, her head was already dizzy, and being carried by Andrew like this, gently swaying with his steps, she immediately felt drowsy.

Especially since his body temperature was particularly warm, making him very comfortable to lean against.

Before long, Olivia nestled her head against his neck and closed her eyes to rest.

Andrew felt her movement and paused for a moment.

They were too close now.

When she breathed, her warm breath brushed against his neck, stirring up a strange feeling in his heart...

Andrew looked down at the person in his arms.

Olivia had already closed her eyes and dozed off.

Her peaceful sleeping face was like a little cat.

His eyes became even more gentle. He held her securely and continued walking forward.

At the entrance of the conference venue, Michael and Sophia also came out.

Having received unprecedented cold treatment in the banquet hall, Michael, being such a proud person, naturally didn't want to stay any longer, so he left early with Sophia.

When they came out, the man saw from a distance Olivia being carried away.

Michael's eyes suddenly darkened, his angry gaze fixed tightly on that tall figure.

Who was that man?

What was his relationship with Olivia?

He hadn't seen Andrew's face clearly, but he could be certain that the person was definitely not Daniel...

Thinking of this, intense anger rose again in Michael's eyes.

How long had it been since their divorce, and Olivia dared to be all over another man in public.

How shameless!

Sophia saw him stop and noticed his expression was a bit strange. She couldn't help asking curiously, "Michael, what's wrong?"

Michael looked away, his voice cold. "Nothing."

After saying this, he walked straight ahead.

Seeing him walk so fast, Sophia thought he was angry about what happened today.

She didn't dare throw a tantrum either. She quickly caught up and coaxed him softly, saying, "I'm sorry, Michael. I didn't expect Daniel to target me like that.

He said those things in front of everyone, obviously trying to embarrass me on purpose. Please don't be mad at me..."

Her voice was particularly aggrieved.

But unexpectedly, when she brought up this matter, Michael's mood became even more irritable. He directly quickened his pace toward the parking lot.

Seeing this, Sophia became anxious. "Michael, slow down, wait for me..."

She was wearing high heels and couldn't walk too fast. In her haste, she twisted her ankle, "Ouch—"

She cried out in pain, but Michael didn't turn back to look at her.

Sophia felt annoyed too.

But she didn't dare complain now. She could only endure the pain and continue chasing after Michael...

At this moment, inside the banquet hall.

Daniel noticed Olivia had been gone for so long without returning and couldn't help feeling worried.

Seeing this, Beatrix spoke up to reassure him. "Girls usually take longer. Don't worry, I'll go check..."

Just as she finished speaking, they saw Nathan walking over with a smile.

"Mr. Wilson, are you looking for Ms. Smith? She wasn't feeling well, so I had someone take her home first. I came to let you know so you wouldn't worry."

Hearing this, Daniel was a bit surprised.

He asked. "Where does she feel unwell?"

Seeing his concern, Nathan quickly said. "She probably just felt dizzy from the alcohol. It's nothing else. When she left, she was still conscious. She should be fine."

"I see. Thank you so much then."

Hearing this explanation, Daniel felt relieved.

Nathan, on the other hand, felt a bit uneasy.

Because he knew who had taken Olivia away.

He had thought that person only appreciated her a bit.

Now it seemed it wasn't that simple at all.

Good thing he hadn't neglected Olivia today!

Otherwise, it would be really hard to explain!

...

On Olivia's side.

After leaving the venue, Andrew took her back to her apartment complex.

By the time the car arrived, she was already sound asleep.

She was leaning completely against Andrew's shoulder.

"Ms. Garcia, we're home."

Andrew lowered his head and called to her softly, but Olivia couldn't hear him at all.

He gently shook her and called. "Olivia?"

Unfortunately, Olivia was sleeping very deeply. Faced with the voice in her ear, she only adjusted her position and continued sleeping, showing no signs of waking up.

Andrew had no choice but to give up trying to wake her. He simply picked her up and carried her directly to her front door.

When David rang the doorbell, Yara came to open the door.

Seeing a suddenly appearing handsome face, Yara was stunned for a moment, "You are..."

Just as she asked, she saw Olivia in his arms.

Yara's voice became anxious. "What happened to Ms. Garcia?"

Andrew replied politely. "Sorry to disturb you. I'm Ms. Garcia's friend. She had too much to drink, so I brought her home."

Yara didn't doubt him at all and quickly let them in, her tone showing concern. "Why did she drink so much?"

Andrew answered. "Business socializing. Drinking is hard to avoid."

Then he carried her inside, changed shoes, and prepared to go further in.

Bianca and Lightning heard the noise and came running over to check.

When they saw Andrew, Bianca was especially happy and called out cheerfully. "Uncle Andrew~"

Lightning also circled around his feet, barking joyfully.

Andrew saw her and his expression softened, but he gestured for quiet. "Keep it down, you'll wake your mommy. Let me take her to her room first, then we can chat, okay?"

Bianca nodded her little head obediently, saying. "Okay!"

Bianca was worried about her mommy too, so after Andrew walked past, she followed closely behind him.

Led by Yara, Andrew took her to the bedroom.

He was very gentlemanly and polite, not letting his eyes wander around.

After all, this was a girl's room. He needed to respect her privacy.

After gently putting her down, Andrew said to Yara beside him. "Please take care of her. If it's convenient, could you make some hangover soup for her later? When she wakes up, have her drink some to avoid a headache from the hangover."

"Yes, yes!"

Yara quickly smiled and replied. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of Ms. Smith."

Andrew nodded, looked at Olivia's sleeping face again, then looked away and left the way he came.

Yara watched his back as he left, feeling a bit curious.

Was this gentleman the legendary psychologist?

His looks... were really exceptional!

No worse than Michael, maybe even better.

Especially his attitude toward Olivia—gentle with a touch of carefulness. When he put her on the bed, his movements were so tender.

By comparison, the difference was clear...

Thinking of this, Yara couldn't help shaking her head and sighing. If Michael doesn't know how to cherish Olivia, someone else will.

She didn't think much more about it and soon went to get hot water to help Olivia wash up and change clothes...

When Andrew came out, Bianca was already waiting.

Seeing him return, Bianca happily rushed over and hugged his leg. "Uncle Andrew, I missed you so much."
