Chapter 121 Finally Get a Divorce
Olivia perked up.
If this had happened before, her heart might have stung a little, but right now, she only felt excited.
Could she really get the evidence?
If so, she could get divorced as quickly as possible!
This opportunity was too rare to miss. She quickly contacted Evelyn and told her about it. "This number already sent me photos last time. I asked who it was, but they ignored me. Do you think it's trustworthy? Could someone be setting a trap for me?"
Evelyn didn't hesitate for a second after hearing this. "Who would be so bored as to send you photos for no reason? Maybe it's someone trying to help you!
Either way, since we have this lead, let's go check it out. I'll come with you!
You really need this kind of evidence for your divorce!"
Olivia was convinced and immediately nodded. "Let's go then."
After agreeing on the plan, they hurriedly left the house and drove at full speed toward Silverpine Retreat.
Olivia had been to this place before.
When Emily was alive, she would bring the family here every year to enjoy the hot springs.
Because it was high-end, all guests had to be members, and she needed a VIP card to get in.
It wasn't until they arrived and were stopped by security that Olivia remembered this detail.
When she left the Johnson family, she hadn't brought anything with her, so naturally, she wouldn't have brought something like that.
In a panic, she had to call Daniel. "Do you have a VIP card for Silverpine Retreat?"
Daniel's tone was dismissive. "No."
He knew about this resort.
But in previous years, after falling out with Olivia, knowing that the Johnsons still came here often, he had deliberately avoided it.
He'd never been there, so naturally, he wouldn't have a card.
However, even though he didn't have one, he still asked, "Why do you need the VIP card?"
"Something important." Olivia didn't go into details, just asked, "Do you have any other way to get one?"
Daniel said, "I do know the owner of this resort, but he moved to Harmony City to develop his business several years ago. I saw on his social media today that he's flying abroad tonight. He's probably on the plane now, can't reach him."
Olivia's heart sank.
After hanging up, she felt unwilling to give up.
Was she going to miss this opportunity again?
Evelyn was even more anxious than her, almost wanting to ram the resort gate with her car and charge in.
But she knew that wouldn't work, so she forced herself to stay calm. Her mind raced, and after a few seconds, she slapped the steering wheel. "Ask Mr. Hamilton! Isn't he from Harmony City? Maybe he has a way!"
Olivia hesitated, not wanting to bother Andrew.
Evelyn tried to persuade her earnestly, "The opportunity is right in front of you! Don't you want a divorce? If you miss this, there might not be a next time!
You don't really want to keep being tangled up with that scumbag, do you?"
Olivia certainly didn't want that, so she didn't hesitate anymore and called Andrew directly.
Soon, the man's magnetic and pleasant voice came through. "Hello, Dr. Garcia?"
Olivia gathered her courage. "Mr. Hamilton, I'm sorry to bother you so late, but... could you help me with something?"
Andrew's tone was serious. "Go ahead."
Olivia briefly explained about the VIP card, without mentioning anything else.
After speaking, she felt a bit anxious.
This was her only hope.
If Andrew couldn't help either, the opportunity would be completely lost!
On Andrew's end, there was no immediate answer, but after only a few seconds of thought, he said decisively, "Wait there. Someone will bring you the card soon."
After hanging up, in just three minutes, a middle-aged man in a suit hurried out from inside the resort.
He came over and asked with extreme respect, "Are you Ms. Garcia? I'm the manager of this resort, here to deliver your card."
Olivia was overjoyed and immediately responded, "That's me."
He nodded and quickly gave her the card, then called a staff member to show them the way.
When they reached room A001, Olivia's heart began to pound uncontrollably.
Success or failure would be decided right now.
She hoped the scene inside wouldn't disappoint her too much!
Evelyn couldn't wait any longer. She pushed the staff member forward, then rang the doorbell and said in a muffled voice, "Hello, housekeeping service, here to change your sheets."
At first, there was no movement inside the room.
But after a moment, steady footsteps finally came from within.
Someone stopped behind the door for a few seconds, apparently checking through the peephole to see who was outside.
Then the door opened, and a voice said, "Wrong room, we didn't call for housekeeping!"
It was Michael's voice!
It really was him!
Evelyn recognized it too and immediately seized the opportunity, forcefully pushing the door open.
The person inside wasn't prepared and was pushed back several steps by the force.
When he steadied himself, he finally saw who it was.
Michael's expression changed dramatically. His usually calm face showed a rare hint of panic. "You... why are you here?"
Olivia didn't speak, just looked at him.
The man seemed to have just showered. He was loosely wearing a bathrobe that exposed a large expanse of his chest, covered with mottled purple bruises.
There were even scratch marks!
On the floor of the room, clothes were scattered everywhere.
The sheets on the bed were in a messy pile. Sophia wasn't wearing any clothes. When she saw someone burst in, she instinctively wrapped herself in the sheets.
However, the exposed parts of her body were similarly covered with intimate marks left after their encounter.
The air was thick with the lingering scent of passion.
At this moment, both Michael and Sophia's faces showed complete shock.
The calmest person at the scene was Evelyn.
Before entering, she had turned on her video recording.
As soon as she came in, she filmed everything in the disheveled room.
While filming, she cursed, "Ha! Having an affair during marriage, and it looks like quite the battle. You two are truly shameless and disgusting!"
Reminded by her, Olivia quickly adjusted her state and put on an expression of being deeply hurt.
Her whole body trembling, she looked at the man and said, "Michael, so this is what the strategic cooperation between the Johnson family and the Brown family means—cooperation in bed? When you were doing this, did you ever think about the fact that you're not divorced yet?
Did you think about the fact that you have a daughter? How can you face us?"
She accused him with red-rimmed eyes, as if she had suffered a huge betrayal.
But in reality, Olivia felt calmer than ever.
She didn't really need to act.
But on the way here, Evelyn, guided by someone with experience, told her she had to show the pain of catching them in the act.
That way, when the evidence was presented to the judge, the judge could feel the helplessness of her as the victim.
To get a smooth divorce, she had to go all out.
Michael, faced with her questioning, couldn't say a word.
The scene before him was something he had never anticipated, so much so that his usually calm mind couldn't react for a moment.
Olivia, filled with resentment, turned her gaze to Sophia on the bed.
The woman's face showed fear and panic, but the look in her eyes was one of provocation and smugness.
She was showing off to Olivia?
Olivia hadn't been particularly angry before, but this woman's constant scheming since returning to the country disgusted her immensely.
Before, she couldn't touch her.
But given today's situation, did she think she could still get away with it?
Olivia didn't hold back anymore.
Her chest filled with all the humiliation she had endured in the past, as well as everything Bianca had suffered, she rushed over, grabbed Sophia by the hair, and slapped her face repeatedly.
"Sophia, you really are cheap! You claim to be highly educated, a returnee from overseas, but you're doing the work of a homewrecker.
Are you that desperate for a man? Stealing someone else's husband, using work as an excuse, cooperating all the way into bed—have you no shame?"
