Chapter 353 Come to Her
Aurelia suddenly regretted her decision to show up uninvited.
The scene before her eyes really broke her heart.
She was forced to watch how Andrew loved Olivia. Bitterness spread through her heart, and even the delicious food in her mouth became hard to swallow.
Anna was smart enough to notice her reaction.
She felt somewhat sympathetic and a bit guilty.
After all, the two knew each other, and the Hamilton family did owe the Kingsley family a promise.
She felt bad seeing Aurelia like this, so she tried to take care of her feelings.
"Aurelia, have some soup. Let me serve you. This soup has a light flavor that suits your taste. Have some more!"
"Okay..." Aurelia couldn't eat but didn't want to refuse her kindness.
Evelyn also noticed her reluctance.
She was very satisfied.
That was exactly why she wanted Aurelia to stay—to witness firsthand just how good Andrew was to Olivia!
She wanted her to know who really wasn't good enough for Andrew.
Let's see if this woman dares to talk big again, acting all high and mighty, bullying, and looking down on Olivia!
Because she was in a good mood, Evelyn ate a bit more at dinner.
After dinner ended and everyone was about to leave, Bianca told Olivia, "I need to wash my hands!"
She had touched food while eating, and her hands were dirty.
Bianca was a bit of a neat freak. Just wiping with a towel wasn't enough for her.
"I'll take you." Olivia held her hand and headed to the restroom.
But as soon as she turned on the faucet, she noticed someone had followed them in.
She looked up and, without surprise, saw Aurelia's reflection in the mirror.
A trace of casualness flashed through Olivia's eyes.
She wasn't surprised by Aurelia's arrival.
After all, if she could remain indifferent after that meal, she wouldn't be the Aurelia she knew.
Aurelia walked forward on her own, took out lipstick by the sink, and touched up her makeup.
Still wearing that superior attitude, without even glancing at Olivia, she said, "Is this how you show your love for Andrew, turning him into what he is now?
He used to be so untouchable, never getting involved in these trivial matters.
Now he's taking care of kids for you!
Olivia, is this how you treat him?
You don't deserve how good he is to you!"
Olivia wanted to roll her eyes.
This kind of talk again!
If she could, she wouldn't even bother responding.
However, after being provoked several times, anyone would get angry.
Olivia wasn't afraid anymore, so she wouldn't put up with it.
She said coldly, "Ms. Kingsley, don't project your idealized image onto Andrew. His appearance and temperament might be as you describe.
But in the end, he's the same species as us—needs three meals a day, sleep, water, and has emotions and desires.
This life is what he wants.
You're overstepping!"
By then, Bianca had finished washing her hands.
Olivia dried them for her, then looked at Aurelia with emotionless eyes.
She continued, "Also, how my boyfriend and I get along is none of your business.
Because you're an outsider who has no right to judge.
I also hope you'll stop meddling next time."
With that, she ignored Aurelia, picked up Bianca, and left.
In the restroom, Aurelia's composure from the entire evening shattered.
Her pretty features nearly twisted.
Olivia didn't look back and didn't want to care.
Before, being talked to like that by Aurelia did bother her.
But now, Andrew had given her confidence, so she didn't need to be polite to such people anymore.
Bianca held Olivia's hand as they left the restroom and asked in confusion, "Mommy, did that woman just bully you?"
Children don't understand the adult world or what they were talking about.
But pure children can sense others' ill intentions most clearly.
She just felt Aurelia had hostility toward Olivia.
Olivia touched Bianca's head and comforted her, "No, that wasn't bullying. At most, she just said some unpleasant things.
But I talked back to her, so don't worry about it."
"Really?" Bianca was skeptical.
She couldn't help thinking, 'That woman is definitely not a good person!'
The mother and daughter soon returned to the private room.
When they entered, Evelyn winked at Olivia.
Her eyes seemed to ask: Everything okay?
Olivia shook her head lightly at her.
Evelyn looked relieved.
She had been thinking that if they didn't come back soon, she would go to the restroom too.
She couldn't let Olivia be bullied by Aurelia.
Olivia looked at Andrew and asked, "Should we leave now?"
But Andrew told her, "You had a phone call earlier. No rush."
Olivia checked her phone.
Sure enough, someone had called her a few minutes ago.
It was Daniel.
She was about to call back to ask what it was about.
But when she opened the screen, she found he had already sent a string of messages.
Daniel: [Michael went to Harmony City.]
Daniel: [One-third of the Johnson Group's projects were transferred to Chase. I heard Michael is going to stay in Harmony City for a while for medical treatment.]
Daniel: [Michael's legs have completely lost the ability to walk. There's no solution in Emerald City, so he wants to try Harmony City.]
Daniel: [I suspect treatment is just an excuse. My mom said Amelia has been obsessing over Bianca not acknowledging her father, and has been pushing Michael to bring Bianca back. She even said the Johnson family's child can't be left outside.]
Daniel: [I suspect Michael might be going after Bianca this time. Watch Bianca carefully and be on guard.]
Daniel: [I'm going to Harmony City on a business trip in a few days.]
As Olivia read through the messages one by one, her brows furrowed.
It seemed she hadn't been wrong before.
That figure really was Michael.
He really came to Harmony City.
And he was actually coming for Bianca?
At the thought of this possibility, Olivia couldn't help feeling angry.
How dare the Johnson family have the nerve to claim Bianca back?
Back then, when the child's illness wasn't cured, they were disgusted.
They were afraid Bianca's illness would make the Johnson family a laughingstock.
Now that the child was better and their lives were better, they wanted to snatch her away?
She would never allow it!
Bianca was her daughter alone!
She would die before handing her over to the Johnson family!
Even if she were to have a father, it would be Andrew.
Olivia pressed her lips together and quickly calmed down, replying to Daniel: [Got it. I'll watch Bianca carefully. Thanks. When you get to Harmony City, I'll treat you to dinner.]
After sending the message, Olivia put away her phone, but the emotion on her face hadn't completely faded.
Andrew was the first to notice.
He wanted to ask what happened, but just then, Aurelia pushed the door open.
Andrew had to hold back what he wanted to say.
Everyone had finished eating, and Benjamin went to pay the bill.
Olivia and the others left the restaurant first to wait for him outside.
Aurelia walked together with Anna.
Seeing she had no intention of getting her car, Anna asked, "Aurelia, how are you getting back?"
Aurelia answered naturally, "My driver brought me today. I thought I wouldn't need him tonight, so I let him go home first.
It would just be traffic if I called him now. Can I catch a ride with you guys?"
After speaking, she unconsciously glanced at Andrew, "Andrew, you're going back too, right?"
Her little scheme couldn't be more obvious!
Evelyn wouldn't let her succeed and immediately shot back, "Of course Mr. Hamilton is taking Olivia home. Do you even need to ask?
He's not taking his girlfriend, so should he take you instead?"
The blunt words made Aurelia's expression freeze.
Of course she had guessed that.
But she still couldn't help trying to assert her presence.
All evening, Andrew hadn't spoken a word to her.
Anna came out to smooth things over, saying, "Aurelia, if you don't have a car, you can come with me. I'll take you!"
Aurelia had no other choice and could only reluctantly agree, "Okay, thanks. I didn't mean anything else. I just thought if it was on the way, I could visit your grandfather.
I've been busy these days and haven't seen him. I miss him."
These words carried a hint of showing off.
After all, it was common knowledge that Finnegan didn't like Olivia.
However, no one cared.
Only Anna acknowledged her, "No trouble."
As they were chatting, they saw Benjamin stride out of the restaurant.
His expression looked a bit strange for some reason.
Evelyn was about to ask what was wrong when Benjamin spoke first, "Isn't the driver here yet? Can we leave?"
"What's wrong? Why the hurry?" Evelyn was puzzled.
Benjamin shook his head lightly, "Nothing, just saw some annoying people and want to leave quickly."
Olivia casually replied, "Soon."
Benjamin nodded and waited with them for the car.
After a while, the driver finally arrived.
It was Andrew's black Rolls-Royce.
"Andrew, you guys go first?" Benjamin actively helped open the car door and urged them on.
Olivia was quite suspicious.
Why did it feel like he was eager for them to leave?
Just then, from the restaurant entrance not far away, a conversation suddenly came, "Mr. Johnson, take care. Tomorrow morning, I'll come to your company to sign the contract."
Following that was a cold but familiar voice, "Okay, no need to see me off."
These words immediately drew everyone's attention.
Olivia instinctively looked over and saw the wheelchair she had once glimpsed.
And the person she never really wanted to remember.
Michael!
After some time apart, the man's aloof aura had only intensified. Even sitting in a wheelchair, he still had a powerful presence.
Perhaps because of his leg condition, he was much thinner than before, adding a sickly air, but still couldn't hide his noble bearing.
When Olivia saw him appear, her heart skipped a beat.
Daniel's warning was still ringing in her ears.
She hadn't expected that just minutes later, he would appear right in front of her.
At this moment, her thoughts were exactly the same as Benjamin's.
Indeed, that annoying person!
