Chapter 347 He Is a Peerless Good Man
Andrew wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her into his embrace. "Naturally, because I'm well-informed."
Olivia smiled, thinking that made sense.
When she first came to Harmony City, he was the one who arranged everything and allowed her to enter the research institute.
If he wanted to know about her, wouldn't that be easy?
After not seeing each other for so many days, Olivia pressed her head against his chest and nuzzled gently. "I missed you and Bianca."
In the closed work environment, she was swamped every day. Whenever thoughts of missing them began to surface, they were pushed down by doubled workload.
But seeing him appear, the feelings she'd kept buried in her heart began to break through.
In the air around her was the familiar cedar scent from his body, and pressed against her was his reassuring warmth.
All those feelings she'd held back for days came flooding out.
Olivia looked up, staring at the man's handsome face, her gaze finally settling on his slightly red lips.
How could Andrew not notice the change in her eyes?
He loved this Olivia who didn't hide what she wanted.
But this was the entrance to the research institute, with quite a few people coming and going.
He didn't want his precious girl to be stared at by others.
Andrew's voice grew husky, his eyes darkening as he turned her toward the car. "Let's get in the car first."
Olivia nodded. After he opened the door, she got into the back seat.
Then the man followed.
As soon as they sat down, the partition rose up.
The next second, a forceful pull drew her steadily onto his lap.
Her hands had just touched the man's shoulders when a passionate kiss came down heavily.
Filled with deep longing and urgency, it swept over her.
This was the first time Olivia had seen Andrew lose control like this.
But she was happy to respond.
She pressed against him, holding onto his broad shoulders, intimately close without any gap.
As emotions intensified, the man's calloused palm slipped under her clothes, gently caressing the tender skin beneath.
The rough sensation made her tremble and go weak all over.
Andrew himself had desire coloring his refined features.
In his deep eyes surged an emotion that wanted to devour her completely.
Looking at those eyes, Olivia felt her soul nearly being pulled away.
But this was in the car after all, and Andrew still had his reason.
At the critical moment, he stopped, holding her tightly. His head dropped to her neck, his voice hoarse with desire as he said, "I missed you too."
The tenderness after their passionate intimacy left Olivia's heart racing for a long time.
She hugged him back, unwilling to separate even slightly, nestling obediently in his arms, quietly calming the heat in her body.
After some time, Andrew finally suppressed the desire in his eyes, returning to his usual cool demeanor.
If Olivia hadn't seen it herself, she wouldn't believe that version of Andrew had actually appeared.
Andrew continued holding her with no intention of letting go, his voice gentle as he asked, "Are you hungry? I'll take you to dinner. Bianca and Benjamin, and Evelyn are all waiting for us."
"Okay." Olivia certainly had no objection.
She'd been too busy lately to take care of Bianca, who had been looked after by them in turns these past days.
At first she worried that Bianca would have trouble adjusting without her.
But surprisingly, Bianca adapted really well!
Better not to mention it—now that she did, she missed her and couldn't wait to see her.
The car drove fairly quickly, stopping outside a restaurant in about fifteen minutes.
Olivia and Andrew got out together and went inside.
Just as Olivia entered the reserved private room, Bianca spotted her. "Mommy!"
She was wearing a pale yellow bubble dress today, looking like a soft little duckling as she rushed over.
Her little hands grabbed onto Olivia's legs. "You're finally here!"
Olivia hadn't expected the little one to have such strength. Caught off guard, she stumbled back two steps.
Fortunately, Andrew behind her reached out to steady her, preventing an embarrassing fall.
Olivia found it amusing. She picked up Bianca, pinched her little nose, and asked, "Are you a little cannonball? Can't be stopped."
Bianca wrapped her arms around her neck, nuzzling in her embrace and acting cute. "I missed you."
Her soft manner made Olivia's heart melt.
She kissed her daughter's face and said, "I missed you too. Have you been good these past days?"
Bianca immediately nodded her little head, saying obediently, "Yes! I've been so good, if you don't believe me, ask Daddy!"
Andrew indulgently pinched her cheek. "Yes, very good indeed."
Watching this family of three chatting endlessly at the door, Evelyn couldn't take it anymore.
She got up and personally came over to pull them to their seats. "Stop dawdling, we've been waiting for you to start. Sit down and eat, we can chat while eating!"
"Okay." Olivia smiled and sat down with Bianca.
They had already ordered on the way, so the food came quickly.
The conversation still centered on Bianca.
Olivia learned how they'd been taking care of the child.
When Andrew had time, he would definitely pick her up from school himself.
If he couldn't get away, he'd have Yara pick her up.
If he had to travel and couldn't take her along, Benjamin and Evelyn would help.
Those two made childcare look easy, arranging eating, drinking, and fun activities.
Various amusement parks—Bianca had a blast.
When they weren't available, Andrew would bring the child to the office or take her to experience various activities.
Horseback riding lessons, skiing, exhibitions... The schedule was so packed that Olivia was a bit surprised.
Evelyn said with a laugh, "You don't know—all of Harmony City is saying Mr. Hamilton is a top-tier dad.
Since you haven't appeared several times, people even suspect he was interested in Bianca from the start, and you were just a bonus."
Olivia found this funny.
Andrew raised an eyebrow. "There's such a rumor?"
He clearly didn't know.
Benjamin laughed heartily. "When you and Olivia went public before, plenty of unmarried heiresses were insanely jealous. Now there's another group jealous—married women.
After all, who wouldn't want a devoted husband who makes money, has high status, and is great with kids?"
Especially Andrew's gentle good-father image when with the child had deeply impressed those people.
Some even wanted to remarry with children.
Evelyn also remarked to Olivia, "While you were away, Mr. Hamilton became even more popular. Word is he's the perfect man, a role model for wealthy heirs!"
Olivia hadn't expected that after one busy trip, she'd gained another wave of rivals.
While the others were eating, Olivia leaned toward Andrew and asked quietly, "Andrew, when I'm not around, could you maybe radiate a bit less charm?
I'm afraid when we go out together later, I won't be able to handle the attacks."
Andrew's eyes held a warm smile. He reached up to ruffle her hair, saying indulgently, "Don't worry, I'll protect you.
Besides, you're the only one in my eyes."
He'd always been cold-hearted, and his one bit of affection would only be given to one person.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have been single for so many years.
Olivia was caught off guard by his sweet words, her ears turning red.
Evelyn noticed she'd stopped moving and looked over.
Seeing Olivia's red ears, she understood immediately.
She called out, "That's enough, you two. Please show some consideration for single people, thanks!"
Bianca blinked her big eyes at Evelyn and said puzzled, "Godmother, I can care about you!"
Her earnest childish words left Evelyn not knowing whether to laugh or cry. "Thank you!"
The others were also amused by Bianca's innocent comment.
But at least it changed the subject, and everyone started eating.
When Evelyn had eaten enough, she pulled Olivia aside to complain about the research institute. "Is your institute always this busy? Closed sessions? For such long periods?"
Olivia explained, "Not entirely. It mainly depends on the project.
This time, it was because the new team's abilities varied quite a bit, so management did an intensive group training.
Once everyone's more experienced and can handle situations better, things will be more relaxed.
Of course, if it's higher difficulty and completely confidential, that kind of closure might be half a year or several years.
At my current level, I'm not qualified for that kind yet."
Andrew encouraged her from the side, "Take your time. With your abilities, you'll have the chance in the future!"
Benjamin, who had been quietly battling his food, looked at Andrew in disbelief. "Wait, Andrew, you support Olivia joining that kind of research project?
If Olivia really goes, that means you two might not see each other for a very long time!"
Being apart that long—weren't they worried about problems in the relationship?
Regular long-distance relationships could at least stay in touch.
But closed long-distance relationships couldn't.
Supposedly, some classified projects mean no contact for years, with only designated personnel reporting safety updates periodically.
Olivia said nothing, just looked at Andrew.
But Andrew didn't answer the question.
The private room fell into momentary silence.
After a moment, Olivia saw him casually look up at Benjamin and say, "Just eat your food. Why so much talk?"
Benjamin immediately backed down, not daring to ask more.
Seeing the atmosphere in the room getting tense, Evelyn stepped in to smooth things over. "Don't talk nonsense. Olivia hasn't gone yet, right? No need for these hypothetical questions."
Then she gave Benjamin a warning glare, stuffed a chicken leg in his mouth, and said, "Just eat quietly."
