Chapter 295 What I Want, Can You Afford to Give
Evelyn held back her laughter and teased, "What are you pretending for? You think I don't know what's on your mind?"
She finally stopped teasing Olivia and turned to greet Andrew, "Mr. Hamilton, haven't seen you in a while. You've gotten even more handsome."
Andrew nodded politely and warmly, "Ms. Thomas, you're as charming as ever."
Evelyn laughed and said, "Really? What about Olivia? Does she look better than the last time you two were apart?"
At her words, Andrew openly looked at Olivia.
Their eyes met for two seconds before Olivia couldn't help but look away.
For some reason, the man's gaze seemed deeper than usual, with an intensity that made it hard to look at him for too long.
She was afraid that if she kept looking, he would completely capture her heart.
Andrew seemed to sense her shyness and didn't embarrass her in front of everyone.
He calmly replied to Evelyn, "When has she ever looked bad?"
At this, Evelyn's eyes lit up, and she couldn't help making a teasing sound, "Well, I hope I won't have to watch you two being all lovey-dovey all the time, will I? Please no! If I'd known, I wouldn't have come to Harmony City!"
Yara just helped carry things and watched the fun.
Olivia's ears turned red, and she quickly covered Evelyn's mouth, saying, "Shut up!"
Andrew watched their interaction with a calm and composed expression, "I've booked a restaurant. Let's go have dinner first."
"Okay!" Olivia didn't want to really argue with Evelyn in front of them, so she just gave her a warning look.
Evelyn was fearless, grinned, and followed them.
Earlier on the plane, there was airplane food, but it wasn't good, so they didn't eat it. Now they were really hungry.
Evelyn still had the energy to joke around, saying, "For our first meal in Harmony City, let Mr. Hamilton play host. After eating, I'll get lost and not disturb you two!"
Olivia looked at her with amusement.
This woman, as soon as she arrived in Harmony City, started letting loose. Where was that tearful, reluctant person from before?
She didn't forget to warn her, "Remember to eat more at the restaurant later, preferably enough to keep your mouth busy!"
Evelyn replied with a laugh, "Okay, I'll try my best to eat a lot!"
The climate in Harmony City was much more comfortable than Emerald City, with cool breezes blowing in their faces.
The group left the airport together.
The car Alfonso arranged was waiting outside.
Evelyn was very tactful, directly pulling Yara along and saying, "Yara, ride with me. I have some things I want to chat with you about, let's go..."
Without giving them a choice, she dragged Yara into the car, creating an opportunity for Olivia and Andrew to be alone.
Before leaving, she winked at Olivia and said, "We won't disturb you and Mr. Hamilton!"
Olivia gave her an amused glare.
But she didn't say anything and got in the car with Andrew.
After settling in, Olivia said to the man beside her, "Evelyn has always been outspoken. Don't take it to heart."
Andrew wasn't upset by Evelyn's words.
Hearing Olivia say this, he replied, "Your friend is quite genuine and nice. I won't fuss over such small things."
Olivia nodded, then asked, "Did coming here specially today take up too much of your time?"
Although she wasn't in Harmony City, Olivia had learned something about what was happening there.
She knew Andrew's schedule was tight and he was very busy every day.
She had also heard rumors about the Robinson family.
The rumors said that the Robinson family's heir wanted to return to the Robinson Group to take control.
His status was already extremely noble, and now with the Robinson family added, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he had overwhelming power and influence.
What Olivia learned was that Andrew's methods were sharp.
Not only did he reclaim the shares that belonged to his mother, but with the Robinson family head's favor, he gained the largest inheritance rights to the entire Robinson family.
Moreover, after the previous stock issues, Andrew was angered by those Robinson family members.
Originally indifferent to material possessions, he now intended to take over the Robinson Group's business.
He'd been very busy lately, dealing with those troublesome people below.
Every day, his messages to her were sent during meeting breaks or rest periods.
Even though Olivia hadn't looked closely earlier, she noticed the hidden fatigue in the man's eyes.
She thought he must have worked frantically to squeeze out time to come today.
Andrew knew her concerns. Looking at her with increasingly gentle eyes, he said softly, "It's fine. Though I'm busy, I still have time to have a meal with you all."
Olivia wasn't so tactless.
Since he was already here, they might as well enjoy a good meal together.
She nodded, then looked at Bianca beside her.
Bianca was especially happy right now. After hearing Andrew's words, she said, "That's great! From now on, Daddy, Mommy, and I can all be together!"
"Yes, we can see each other often from now on," Andrew replied with a smile.
The two chatted back and forth, with Olivia occasionally chiming in, but she wasn't as optimistic as Bianca.
She felt confused about the road ahead.
What she could confirm was that she did have special feelings for Andrew.
Perhaps Andrew felt the same way.
But...
The gap between them was right there in front of them.
Even though she'd come to Harmony City now and they weren't so far apart, there were still many problems blocking their way.
Could things really go smoothly between them?
Olivia was very uncertain.
With these complicated feelings, they finally arrived at the restaurant.
Andrew had booked a famous restaurant in Harmony City.
This restaurant was notoriously hard to book and only served ten tables of guests per day.
The restaurant's decor was very atmospheric, with vintage design, nestled in the middle of a bamboo forest. Walking along the stepped path, the breeze carried the fresh scent of bamboo leaves—quiet and elegant.
The dinner dishes were abundant and delicious.
Olivia temporarily set aside those uneasy thoughts and focused on eating.
After dinner, Evelyn didn't stay long and said goodbye first.
Andrew personally drove Olivia and Bianca back.
Olivia had assumed the research institute would arrange housing for her in the same area where Rodolfo lived.
But surprisingly, it wasn't. Instead, it was a very quiet villa district.
The layout of the villa district was quite similar to Rodolfo's area.
It was also a courtyard house, but with a modern style—refined and beautiful overall.
Olivia was very surprised after just one look, saying, "This... is this the treatment for new team members? That can't be right? This is way too luxurious, isn't it?"
Her tone was full of disbelief.
Hearing this, David explained, "No, the research institute did approve housing, but considering Bianca's schooling, Mr. Hamilton helped arrange this place."
Andrew then added, "It's only about ten minutes from the research institute, and there's a good school nearby, convenient for Bianca to attend."
Olivia was even more surprised, "So this villa is yours?"
Andrew chuckled softly. "This villa district was developed by the Hamilton Group. When it was completed, a few units were left vacant and put under my name. Since you brought Yara with you, I arranged for housekeeping staff to come clean and help every day. I've also assigned you a driver—I'll give you the contact information later, and you can use them anytime."
Hearing this, Olivia somehow got the feeling she was being taken care of by him.
She hesitated, wanting to say something but feeling it wasn't quite appropriate to bring up now, so she held back.
Andrew acted as if he hadn't noticed and asked warmly, "Want to go in and look around first? See if you're satisfied?"
"Okay." Olivia didn't dwell on it too much.
After all, it was his kind gesture.
He could have not bothered, but he still did this.
She didn't want to disappoint his intentions, so she took Bianca inside with him to look around.
They first looked at the rooms—besides bedrooms for rest, there was a study for work, a medical room, a gym, and for Bianca, an art studio, a music room, a playroom...
Bianca really liked this new home.
This fondness wasn't because of the various rooms.
For her, having Daddy and Mommy here made it the best place.
Moreover, in the courtyard outside the house, there was a pond full of koi fish, colorful and very beautiful.
Bianca leaned against the window, already starting to dream, "Later I want to raise turtles and crocodiles, and we can keep little rabbits on that lawn."
She listed several small animals.
Olivia was amused by her serious manner, "Can all those animals you mentioned be raised together?"
Before they could even start raising them, the turtle would probably become the crocodile's meal.
Bianca was also optimistic, saying, "It's okay, there's always a way to keep them from fighting!"
Olivia didn't stop the child's imagination.
After the tour, Yara took Bianca to bathe and organize their luggage.
In a moment, only Andrew and Olivia were left in the courtyard.
In the quiet night, moonlight fell on the man, adding a touch of softness to his cool, noble temperament.
Olivia finally had a chance to talk to the man alone.
She sincerely said to Andrew, "Thank you for arranging everything so thoughtfully. But Bianca and I can't live here for free, so I'll pay you rent later, okay?"
Andrew looked at her with a half-smile, "Hmm? You think I arranged for you to live here to collect rent?"
Olivia shook her head, saying, "Not exactly, but either way, I can't take advantage of you."
Her last marriage made her subconsciously keep things clear.
Even though they were together now, she wanted equal terms.
Not spending his money was her principle.
She didn't want to be accused of being after wealth again.
Andrew understood her thoughts and smiled, "That's fine. But I don't need money. The rent will have to be paid with something else."
Olivia blinked and asked, "What do you want?"
Andrew looked directly at her, his eyes deepening, and said, "What I want is a lot, and very precious. But don't worry, you can afford it, and only you can afford it!"
