Chapter 155 Gently Held Her Face

Chapter 156 Do You Like Her

Olivia's mind was foggy, and she didn't react right away. She just furrowed her brow slightly, as if struggling to lift her eyelids.

But she was really too tired. Her eyelids felt like they weighed a thousand pounds, and she just couldn't open them.

Andrew watched her eyelashes trembling like butterfly wings and smiled silently.

Looks like she's really exhausted—falling asleep while sitting up!

He already knew everything that had happened here last night and was aware of how much she'd been dealing with.

Now that she finally had a chance to rest, he certainly wasn't going to disturb her.

However, their current position was a bit... delicate.

He looked at that small face resting in his palm...

Her skin was smooth and delicate. Even after staying up all night, it was still soft, though she had some dark circles under her eyes. There was a tiredness between her brows that wouldn't fade, and her lips were a bit pale, but their shape was quite beautiful.

This was the first time he'd observed her this closely.

Her features were extremely refined. Olivia's eyebrows were naturally thick and full, and the corners of her eyes tilted up slightly, carrying a hint of allure.

Andrew's gaze deepened. After watching for a while, he prepared to shift position so she could sleep more comfortably.

But before he could move, Olivia woke up.

She opened her eyes, and before her vision even focused, she saw that flawlessly handsome face right in front of her.

The man was leaning toward her, his gold-rimmed glasses making his long, narrow eyes appear even more deep and unfathomable.

Below his prominent nose, his thin lips curved into a slight arc—less cold than usual, more tender.

His well-defined hand was gently touching her face, very close.

She was almost completely enveloped by his breath and presence.

Olivia was a bit stunned, wondering if she was still half-asleep and dreaming.

Otherwise, how could she be seeing Andrew?

And in such a strange position, no less.

Almost like... they were about to kiss...

"I must be crazy!" was Olivia's first reaction—questioning herself.

Andrew was such a noble, untouchable person—how could she be bold enough to dream something like this?!

But the next second, she saw the man in front of her raise his eyebrow slightly, his voice low and tinged with amusement as he asked, "Why are you scolding yourself the moment you wake up?"

Olivia was dumbfounded.

You can have conversations in dreams?

No, wait...

The warmth of his touch wasn't fake at all.

So the person in front of her was really Andrew???

Olivia was fully awake now. Her beautiful eyes widened slightly as she looked at him with surprise and delight. "Mr. Hamilton, it's really you? What are you doing here too?"

After asking, she realized it was a silly question. "The business trip you mentioned—it was here?"

Seeing her fully awake now, Andrew stopped cupping her face and withdrew his hand, sitting down beside her. "Yes. When you arrived last night, I was right in the middle of something. I wanted to pick you up but couldn't get away."

Olivia didn't mind at all. In fact, she was a bit happy.

She said softly to Andrew, "If I'd known you were here, I wouldn't have been so nervous... Flying from Emerald City to a strange city late at night, then coming up into the mountains—it was pretty unsettling."

Andrew seemed to chuckle softly. "My fault. I didn't tell you beforehand. Last night was urgent—I just had someone contact you to come in a hurry and forgot to tell them to explain the situation clearly to you. That was wrong of me."

"Huh?"

Olivia was taken aback, somewhat surprised. "You were the one who asked them to bring me here?"

Andrew nodded. "I didn't want to put you through such hardship, but the doctors were at a loss with those special forces members' conditions. In the end, we could only ask you to step in. I heard from Henry about their symptoms, and it seems you're the only one who can handle this!"

As he said this, his gaze held undisguised praise and appreciation.

Olivia smiled. "So after all that, you're the one who dragged me out to this mountain area!"

Andrew raised an eyebrow but didn't deny it. "Yes. Do you blame me? This trip has been pretty tough—you haven't been able to sleep well, and you've had to treat patients and prepare medicine."

"Of course not!"

Olivia shook her head. "I told you before—if you ever need help with anything, just ask me. Besides, I'm happy to be able to save those special forces members. They're all heroes. Their lives are more important than anything!"

Andrew glanced at her bright expression, his gaze warm. "That may be true, but you're still exhausted because of this. When we get back to Emerald City, I'll definitely make it up to you."

Olivia's heart stirred, and she asked him, "When are you going back? Have you finished your work?"

Andrew replied calmly, "I'm done, but I can wait and go back with you. How long do you need for the treatments this time?"

Olivia thought for a moment. "As for the medicine, I can finish that today. But because they weren't treated in time, some team members are in serious condition. They'll need three consecutive days of treatment to fully recover!"

"Alright, then I'll wait three days for you."

Andrew's voice carried a trace of barely perceptible tenderness.

Olivia blinked. For some reason, she felt inexplicably happy.

It was just a simple sentence, nothing particularly special about it.

But she was just really happy!

While they were talking, David came over. "Dr. Garcia, Henry sent me to let you know—the medicinal herbs you requested have been gathered and brought back."

Olivia wasn't as drowsy now as she had been earlier.

Hearing this, she immediately stood up and said seriously, "Good, I'll go handle them right away."

She looked at Andrew. "I'll go get busy then?"

"Alright."

Andrew also stood up. He casually handed her the thermos David had just brought over. "Take this with you. There's freshly brewed tea inside—it's pretty good for staying alert and relatively mild. Next time you drink coffee, don't chug it like that. It's bad for your stomach!"

Olivia's heart warmed, and she didn't stand on ceremony with him.

Although she was awake now, she'd definitely get sleepy later. This tea would come in very handy.

Soon, Olivia left with the thermos.

David stood nearby watching this scene, his lips twitching, clearly wanting to say something but holding back.

After quite a while, he finally managed to squeeze out, "Mr. Hamilton, that... that's your cup!"

"I know. So what?"

Andrew responded coolly, his expression as if nothing had happened.

David: "...Nothing, nothing at all!"

That's what he said out loud, but internally he couldn't help complaining: In the past, he never let anyone touch his cup!

Now look—he just gave it straight to Olivia.

First calling her to the military zone, now giving her his drink—this... could he actually be making a move?

David was startled by his own speculation.

Then he thought it seemed unlikely.

Around New Year's, he was clearly clueless. It's only been a few days—surely he couldn't have... figured it out this quickly, right?

Perhaps his probing gaze was too obvious. Andrew noticed, frowned, and asked coolly, "If you have something to say, just say it. What's with that look?"

David hesitated for a while, then couldn't help but work up the courage to ask, "Sir, what are your feelings toward Dr. Garcia now? Do you... like her?"
