Chapter 25

Callie

We did the DNA test. Jace took me back to Anthony's apartment, but before that, he stopped home at my old apartment. I got some stuff, and I went back with him. Marcy didn't want me back at work yet, so I'll work from home. After I got back, I went straight to mine and Anthony's room. I sat on the bed and opened my laptop. I started doing some more digging into Rachel's past. I started looking up wedding planners. I think I'll plan my own wedding instead. I called Anthony.

“Hey baby, what's wrong?”

“I want to get married.”

There was silence on the other end of the phone. “Anthony ?”

"Yeah, baby, I'm here. Are you sure?”

"Yes, I am. Rachel is thinking I'm planning her wedding, but I'm actually planning ours. Anthony, do you want to get married?”

“Hell yes, baby. I was only waiting for you; I would have married you five days ago.”

“Okay, I'll talk to your mom.”

“No, wait, let me talk to Jace first, then I'll call you back.”

“Okay ”

After I hung up, I started putting everything into order, wondering how I would proceed with ruining Rachel's dream on her wedding day.

Anthony

I was surprised she actually called me because she rarely called me. What surprised me even more was when she said she wanted to get married. I was only waiting for her to say yes. I called Jace, “What's up, Anth?”

“Callie wants to get married.”

“Right now?”

“No, not right away; she's not planning Rachel's wedding; she's planning ours.”

“Oh fucking hell, this is going to be amazing.”

“So, Jace, do I have your blessings to marry your sister?”

“You know you do, Anthony; you don't need to ask.”

“Okay, good. Can you go talk to her for me if you're at home? I told her I needed to speak to you.”

"Yeah, sure, I'll go talk to her, and don't fuck it up, Anthony.”

“I'm bound to make her mad sometimes; that's what I have you, to pacify her.”

"Yeah, I'm going to leave your ass just like that.”

After I hung up, I sat there thinking, I was finally getting everything I wanted, and I was happy. I called my mom and told her, she started screaming, then she abruptly ended the call. When I called back, my dad said she ran out of the room straight into Callie's room, asking what I told her, so I explained to him. After that, I continued with my work. I couldn't wait to go home and see her because she just made me the happiest person alive.

Callie

I was sitting in the room on the bed when Jace walked in, and he just looked at me. “So you're getting married?”

“Well, I mean, that's the one thing Rachel wants, and I'm going to take it away from her. I'm going to have her tell me every single thing she wants for her wedding. Instead of giving her what she wants, I'll switch it around and make it mine and Anthony's wedding, because I know for damn sure that child isn't Anthony's. Rachel has been up to a lot of shit, and I intend to make the world know about it. However, Jace, don't ever change towards her; keep hating her because if you suddenly like her, that's going to tip her off.”.

“Don't worry about it; I won't. Are you sure about this, Callie?”

“Yes, Jace, it's Anthony or no one else. Are you okay with this?”

“Of course I am.”

Suddenly, my room door burst open, and Mrs. Collins ran in. She walked straight over to the bed and hugged me.“Oh, sweetheart, I'm so happy. You've made us so happy.”

I just looked at her and Jace. “Anthony called you, didn't he?”

“Yes, he did. Can I ask you a question? If you're going to marry Anthony, why did you tell Rachel she's going to marry him?”

“That's all part of the plan, but no one has to change. Towards Rachel, if you hate her, continue hating her.”

“Okay, sweetheart, we'll trust you on this. I'm so happy.”

Anthony

When I got home that evening after work, I wanted to see her and spend time with her, but the minute I walked through the door, Rachel was there. When Rachel saw me, she started smiling, and she ran over to me. My eyes darted quickly to Callie, and she shook her head slightly without letting anyone see. This was a fucking nuisance. I hated doing this. I felt disgusted just by having her touch me. For Callie's sake, I would do it. She just kept hugging me, so I hugged her back when I looked over her shoulder. Callie made her face, which caused me to laugh.

“How was your day, Anthony?”I just looked at her. I didn't want to answer. Callie saw me and made another face, which told me I needed to play along.

“My day was fine, Rachel.”

"Okay, Anthony, now that you're home, I need to know what your favorite colors are and what you would prefer for the wedding.”

“I don't have a favorite color.”

“Don't be like that.”

“Mr. Collins, dinner will be served at eight.”

“Thank you, Ann.”

“Where are my parents?”

“Your parents are out and Jace is out, but Crystal and I are here with Rachel, and we have been planning the wedding all afternoon. Would you stay for dinner, Rachel?”

“Of course I will; after all, you're planning my wedding, my dream wedding. How can I leave? Which room is mine?”

You've got to be fucking kidding me.

“You don't have a room. Rachel, I have a room. Jace and his girlfriend have a room, Callie has hers, and my parents have a room. Ann has the last room. ”

“Then fine, let Ann sleep outside on the living room couch. I'll take her room.”

“I don't think so.”

“It's okay, Rachel, you can have my room; I don't mind sleeping on the couch.”

I looked at Callie. Was she actually letting Rachel move in here? .“I need to take a shower.”

I pulled Rachel away from me, but before I would walk out of the living room. What Callie said next stopped me in my tracks.

“Why don't you and Rachel go out to dinner? We'll have dinner at home, and the two of you should spend some time together.”

When I turned around to look at her, her face was unreadable, but Rachel was smiling from ear to ear. “Oh my God, that is such a great idea. Callie, thank you so much. I'll go home and get dressed, and I'll meet you back here in an hour, Anthony, and we'll have dinner together.”

"Yeah, sure, whatever.”
