Chapter # 112

“Armiz!!”

“What the…”

“Armiz… look what he did,”

“What..?”

My eyes widened. My brother wouldn’t believe that I would ever fathom hurting Albert, right?

“Albert.. Our baby… why did you kill my son…?!”

“Go and search for him. Now!”

Armiz panicked, breathless while hugging Melissa, motioning to other members who ran and left us alone as I stared.

I was too stunned to react.

This wasn’t reality, right?

“Don’t- Don’t be ridiculous, Melissa-”

“All because you wanted me! You killed my child and laid hands on your own brother’s mate…? Where was your dignity?” She shouted, resting her head on his shoulder.

And in a heartbeat, Armiz found it hard to believe but her condition… won over my tears.

With a shaky, teary mess, I shook my head in denial as he converted his flabbergasted stare into a resentful glare.

My brother, for the first time, looked at me with disgust and it stole words from my tongue.

“He came to know Albert wasn’t actually yours and got rid of him… when you accepted him then who was he to hurt our son?”

What. the. Fuck? He knew!? She tricked me!

“And look what he did to me, Armiz… tell him I am not a slut,” She sobbed and the power of her tears, her state was too heavy.

“All because I… refused to.. Start an affair.. You.. poisoned me?”

“No, no, I didn’t,” I whispered desperately, taking a step closer, holding my hand out to him but to no avail.

“Ar- Armiz, listen… she- she is setting me up,”

I was in a horrible position. Armiz pointed his finger outrageously at me right there. The wrath dropped my heartbeats into dejection.

“Why the fuck do you think my mate will hurt her own son…?!” He snarled.

Tears came near him as well while Melissa took her last breaths in his arms, placing all the blame on me.

Breaking into a sob, he held her close, losing his family in a heartbeat as I witnessed how professionally she placed me at fault.

“No, no, don’t leave me, Melissa, please, please,”

“Armiz… I love you,”

Faking a smile, she closed her eyes and he ended up crying, the most agonizing one I heard and it made me fall on my knees.

His wail shattered my heart, I never had this happen to my brother.

“Melissa!” He cried painfully and closing the distance slightly, I called him in a trembling tone.

Still I thought about telling him everything.

That he would listen and believe me that I didn’t push Albert but my call converted his grief into rage.

“Armiz,”

“They were always right about you…”

He hissed, refusing to leave Melissa as with tears shining on our faces, he didn’t provide me with a moment to justify.

“It was my stupid heart who mindlessly loved my brother, who trusted him the most, who placed him as my top priority,”

Appall dropped to my core like a venom, drying my throat in anticipation. Even before he could speak, I ended up crying.

“N-No, Armiz, I-I..”

Please don’t say this, please don't, please-

“But, in the end, you proved you are nothing but a monster,”

But, he did.

Killing a portion of my soul, ruining my emotional capability terribly. Inducing a pain I had never experienced before.

I heard this from everyone, it never affected me but hearing it from my ideal, my dearest brother shattered my heart.

I suddenly found my life meaningless.

“Melissa… my love, my son, you took everything from me…”

To his crying, I forced my heart to believe he was only agonized and brought my hand to touch him.

“Armiz-”

“DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE TO COME NEAR ME!”

But he slapped me across my face, insulting me before everyone as I remained motionless as he screamed in pain.

“HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME, DENZEL!?”

Unshackling the lock on his tongue and hurting me beyond repair.

“WHAT A MONSTER HAVE YOU BECOME!? WHERE WAS YOUR RESPECT BEFORE…”

He sobbed as I remained stunned, touching the cheek to feel the sting of it with silent tears glistening on my face.

“Before laying hands on my mate? Is… that my nurturing? Is that how I brought you up? To be a motherfucker?!” He cried and those words made me sob deafening.

“No, no, I am not… I didn’t do anything, I swear. Listen to me, Armiz, please,”

I begged but he didn’t allow me to come near, listening was a whole nother matter.

He merely laughed dryly with tears streaming and discarding my state.

“Oh, I forget, that is how beasts are supposed to be… our parents were right about a piece of shit like you not existing,”

I shivered violently, praying he won’t murder our bond this wretchedly that I won’t be able to show my face to him.

To separate us to the point we would never greet again.

Unfortunately, he did.

“You should have died along with Olivia, Mama and Papa,”

He scarred my very soul with his words.

Picking up Melissa, he walked away to arrange her funeral as I stood where he left me, humiliated, anguished, disheartened.

Life stopped making senses, life became worthless.

I had fallen low in my own eyes with tears unstoppably gleaming on my face. I couldn’t bring my body to lift a finger for the next few hours.

Fortunately Albert was alive but he had been in a coma sadly since then. The hopes of him waking up were close to none.

Yet with a heavy heart and crushed dreams, I returned to the mansion.

‘...To join my brother for the last ceremony before I never cross paths with him again.’

My heart was too broken to continue living with him.

His words had murdered me from inside.

“Why are you here now?”

Armiz snarled when I came and hit my chest, not allowing me to step inside the mansion again.

And I didn't… not until the day he told me about Eliana’s whereabouts.

“Your steps are not for my home. Get lost!”

For her sake, I stepped inside else my heart, my soul and my steps locked away from this mansion.

I kept hanging my head low. Everyone gathered when he threw me to the ground and looked down at me with those hateful eyes.

The one I believe would love me when no one would, glared at me with limitless detestation before declaring my fate.

“I won’t forgive you for this, Denzel, you have proven you are contaminated blood,”

Armiz scowled with his hands stained in blood, sending a death-glare in my direction as I stood unaffected, dead eyes at this point.

“I did what I considered right, Armiz,”

“What…?”

After taking a moment to contemplate my words, his body relaxed.

“If that's what you believe is right then here, in this very moment, I swear on my life,”

He suppressed his unbearable grief and returned a glare that became the initiator of our eternal resentment.

“I will ensure you suffer miserably, Denzel Reynolds,”

“I see… good luck,”

Hanging my head low with gloomy surrounding me, I gradually rose from the ground, brushing the dust from my clothes.

“I, Alpha Armiz, exiles Denzel Reynolds from the Crimson Pack,”

“Is that so…?”

My heart was too crushed to continue living with him anyways so I found my path as well.

“Then I, Denzel Reynolds, equal holder of rights, demands for land distribution as half of it belongs to me,”

To my declaration, a series of gasps echoed among everyone, staggered when I demanded my rights, refusing to leave with nothing.

His jaw clenched, not removing those eyes that haunted me for the rest of my life.

“Fine, those who want to go with him can leave too, I don’t want to see you ever again. You have become an eyesore for me,”

“From now on, there won’t be a Crimson Pack. The soul and the heart are separating,”

Was it that easy for him?

Wasn’t I important too?

Didn’t my side of the explanation matter?

With tears glistening in my eyes and a flaring fire of rage that my own brother called me a monster.

It totally shattered me.

Subsequently before leaving, I returned a final glare, holding my ego and promising myself to not come to him again.

“I will never forget this Armiz,”

And with a heavy heart, I left to never return to him nor he ever attempted to reach me.

And we got separated in a way to never become one again.

I lost my brother, my family, my everything due to one allegation.
