Chapter # 103

What. The. Hell?

Tears brimmed, heartbeats diminished, bodily functions stopped.

I blinked a few times to see if I heard this ridiculous statement right or not. It pierced my heart when she so innocently asked me.

As if we hadn't shared a deep connection, a long bond of companionship.

“Come again?”

My question came out weakly. Tilting my head in the opposite direction, lips quivering with a heavily unbearable sensation.

She was my dream of tomorrow, my happily ever after.

Why did Armiz do this to me?

“I am sorry, do I know you?”

Eliana asked in a nervous chuckle, glancing at Armiz who was simply indulging in my stunned reaction, flaring my blazing heart.

“What the fuck is this, Armiz?”

Growling at his nonchalance, at his audacity of hitting me where it hurts, always.

He was punishing me more than my crime.

“Denzel, come on,”

Ignoring my panting, an anguished state with that proud smirk plastered on his face that he had no regret for his deeds and it hurt me.

How could he do this to me? This was too much.

“He is my younger brother, Eliana, Denzel Reynolds,”

He fucking introduced me to Eliana as if I was a stranger and he was too close to her.

A shiver went down my spine. Her innocent sapphire eyes moved across and stopped on me. My heart skipped a beat.

Those eyes holding endless devotion and trust on me were staring at me in perplexity.

“Have we met before? Are you okay?”

She noticed my disturbed state and asked in a honeyed tone, confused at my miserable state.

“Eliana, I am-”

I was about to tell her painfully but Armiz extended his hand in between, stopping me with a warning stare.

“Ah, ah, Denzel, control your words.”

“They are dangerous,” He whispered, shaking his head in denial as my eyes shrinked from the unbearable pain.

The merest thought of us not being together anymore, that her presence with me was unrecognizable boiled my blood.

“You-”

“Eliana, can you give us a moment, please?”

He continued to fake that grin.

“Okay…”

She was perturbed but nodded weakly, walking away.

“Eliana,”

I stared at her, endless words at the edge of my tongue yet being unable to disclose them, I watched her leave.

The second he was gone, I hit Armiz’s chest, glaring outrageously at him for doing this to me. Giving me the worst outcome possible.

“What did you do, asshole!?”

His eyes cascaded to my hand holding his collar and back to my face, keeping his expression monotonous, becoming utterly serious.

“I merely put her in a spell,”

“What spell? She is not recognizing me, she doesn’t know me anymore. And this absence…”

I was about to punch his jaw in spur of painful emotions but grabbing my wrist, he twisted it harshly, almost breaking it and kicking my side.

Throwing me to the ground, I didn’t stop my glare, panting, drowned in the abysmal ocean of solitude once again.

Cursing him eternally in my heart for doing this to me.

“...What the hell did you just do!?” I hissed, curling like a ball to subdue the pain, standing up again to hit him again.

“Just like you stole my most precious away from me- I did the same,”

Enunciating, he rested his one hand in his pocket and pushed his hair behind with the other to display that none of it mattered to him.

Turning oblivious to my ravage, to my misery.

“What… Do you mean?”

My voice broke, steps retreating to find him uncaring about my state as he explained what he did.

“I eradicate your memories and your bond from her memory,”

This had to be a nightmare. This can’t be… what would be left of me without my mate?

“Wh- What?”

“I intended to do this to you but it could be fatal to your life, obviously, so since she was a human, I did this to her.” He scoffed, rolling his eyes.

Loosening my shoulders, a tear powerlessly rolled down from the corner to the point I almost ended up sobbing.

“Why, Armiz? Aren’t you done with your hatred?”

“Relax, it’s not permanent. But, if you told her, I won’t be accountable for the consequences,”

Leaning forward, staring dead into my eyes, he scowled, mocking me for my remorseful actions that never stopped haunting me.

“How can I kill people you love, ‘unlike’ you, my brother,”

“Then…?”

Sniffling, I wiped my tears, moving back as he explained his method of hurting me this time.

“If you love your Eliana this much then break the spell with your love, if you can,”

Smirking darkly, he pointed his finger at me, challenging me, “This the trail of your love, Denzel,”

“I see.”

Swallowing hard, I decided to not surrender before fate, or, his vengeance this time and glared back at him.

“I will get her back, Armiz, no matter at what cost,”

Grabbing his collar again, I also stared dead and announced unwaveringly.

“Eliana is mine and she will be mine, your pathetic trick won’t last long,”

“I don’t care. I just want your heart to break,”

Ripping us apart, Armiz hissed at me.

“You have become ruthless, Armiz Reynolds,”

He scoffed, “I have abandoned my last name long ago,”

“That doesn’t change the fact that you are the same contaminated blood as mine,” I jeered at him, reminding him of his origin that he always tends to conceal but to no avail.

“Fine then, do whatever you want, I also want to see,”

“Tsk,”

Turning my back on him, I was about to leave, determined to make Eliana mine again by all means.

I trusted my love blindly, even the temporary disappearance of the mate-bond, I could latch her soul with mine.

I will get my Eliana back!

As I was about to leave, Armiz’s harsh tone came, sending a resentful glare in my direction.

“I told you, didn’t I, Denzel?”

Stopping in my tracks, I glanced from my shoulder and he repeated those painful words I failed to rip from my memory.

“I will ensure you suffer miserably, Denzel Reynolds,”

We both shivered for a moment.

A painful expression flickered in both of our eyes. I was sunken in regret while he was suffocated by hatred.

And keeping out distinctive perceptions, Armiz completely shattered our bond by his next words.

“And from now on, your biggest enemy is your biological brother,”
