William's POV:
When I saw Rebecca running away from the stage, my first instinct was to run after her to find out if she was alright.
Rose, Rebecca's family, her mate, and I quickly run after her. When we were outside her room, I shouted at her door, saying, "Rebecca, babe, please, open the door. At least talk to me."
"Leave me alone!" Rebecca screamed.
"Everyone, let's give her space for now. She needs some time to cool down," my sister said.
I nodded my head in response, and when I was about to leave her door and make my way down back to the party, Blake was standing there with a sad expression.
All I could think about were what Rebecca was feeling, and I felt that he did not deserve Rebecca as his mate.
The wolf inside of me was boiling in anger, and I clenched my fists and made my way to Blake.
"How could you do that to your mate! How could the Moon Goddess bless you with her? You are truly the worst bastard I've ever met!" I shouted at him.
My rage overtook me, and I punched him several times in the face, which left some pretty nasty bruises. I didn't give a shit about it.
Ryan and my sister tried to stop me by pulling me back.
"Have you ever thought about how you'd feel if your mate rejected you?"
When Ryan and my sister stopped me from hitting him, I clenched my fists and spat on him.
Suddenly, one of Rebecca's brothers, Jake, stood in between us. He looked back at Blake and me, saying. "What the hell are you talking about? What do you mean by rejecting your mate?"
"It's been so long, yet you guys have no fucking clue of what is going on here?" I smirked at Blake and turned my head to everyone.
"Tsk-tsk, your Alpha has been hiding his secret well, hasn't he?"
Everyone shook their heads, and I faked a smile.
"Alpha Blake, what is Alpha William talking about? Because I feel like we are missing out on something important regarding your mate that we should know." Jake looked at Blake.
Blake shot me that look that told me not to reveal the secret, but I was stubborn, so I decided to help him reveal the secret he had been hiding for years.
I looked at each of them. "Let me be the one to tell you all then. Well, you see, this fucking Alpha of yours actually rejected his true mate, which happens to be Rebecca, who is also known as Belle. She was supposed to be your pack Luna, but it turns out that someone was cruel to her and rejected her. He even allowed some stranger to take her fucking position!"
Everyone was shocked at first, and slowly, everyone was furious at him for not telling them the truth. Blake looked down at the floor, avoiding everyone's eye contact.
I could feel the temperature in this hallway rising.
Rebecca's parents walked to Blake, and her mother slapped him, leaving her hand mark on his face.
"How could you do that to my daughter? How long were you going to hide the truth from everyone?"
"Jane, I can explain—" Blake said.
Her father cut him off. "You do not deserve my daughter. You are the reason why our relationship with her turned bad. If it weren't for you, we'd still have her safe and sound."
With that, they walked away while crying for their poor daughter. I mind-linked Ryan, motioning for him to bring them to one of our guest rooms because they looked pretty exhausted and sad about this whole situation.
Rebecca's two brothers, Jake and Michael, came forward to Blake. "Alpha Blake, how could you do this to my sister?"
Michael grabbed his neck and punched Blake's face so hard that he stumbled back and fell to the ground.
"I couldn't reject the girl who was my best friend, and I couldn't hurt my girlfriend, who was your adopted sister at that time. I thought that by rejecting her, everything would be alright. I didn't ever think that it would ever turn out this way," Blake said.
"You could have done this properly without hurting her. Everything would have been alright if you had not been so fucking stupid to reject your own mate," Jake replied.
"I've really regretted hurting her since the day I rejected her."
"You really deserve to be hated by everyone, especially my sister, after all the things you have done to her. No wonder Diane left you too," Michael commented.
"I don't even know how I am going to face her after knowing the whole truth and not being there for her as an older brother when she needed help," Jake said.
"We are really fucking stupid brothers who can't even protect their own sister's heart and life."
The truth was I was enjoying the show a lot, and I appreciated the things that her family did to him as it made him feel like a total jackass.
What I was most curious about was that when I heard that her adopted sister left him, it made me wonder what really happened to her.
Everyone slowly left, leaving Blake, Rose, and me. Blake was on the floor, looking very defeated. Rose stepped forward in front of him.
"You really don't know what she went through while you were happy being with your fake mate. Leave Rebecca alone, and if I find out that you tried to hurt her again, I will fucking find you and make sure I feed your dead body to my dogs!"
"What exactly happened to her?" He looked up at her and spoke softly.
"She went through so much that she felt like she was constantly going to lose her sanity, especially the day when you mated with her fucking sister! She felt pain everywhere!" I felt furious again and said this angrily.
"You better brace yourself for what is gonna happen to you because I will make sure that you suffer ten times more than her!" I saw tears rolling down his cheek, but I didn't fucking care how he was feeling.
With that, my sister and I walked away, leaving him behind, still kneeling on the floor. I mind-linked Ryan, saying to find Blake and bring him to one of the guest rooms far from Rebecca's room.
After that, my sister and I separated with a "goodbye" to each other and headed back to our room to sleep.
In the middle of the night, I was suddenly awakened from my sleep when someone screamed. The voice was familiar to me, and I instantly knew who it belonged to. It was Rebecca's voice. I quickly put on clothes and dashed out from my room, heading to her room. I was afraid of what had happened to her this time.
