Rebecca/Belle's POV:
Where was I?
Hello?
Hello?
was anyone there?
I looked around at my surroundings, and I found myself in the middle of a forest.
Birds were chirping, and many beautiful flowers were around.
I was so focused on the things around me when I suddenly heard sounds coming from another direction. I used my wolf hearing and followed the sound.
I walked and walked till I saw a white wolf bigger than mine that was looking at me. There was an intense aurora coming from the wolf, making me feel safe around it.
I casually strolled towards the white wolf until I was beside it and patted its back.
"You are a beautiful white wolf. May I know what your name is?"
The wolf looked at me and shifted.
Flower petals were around the wolf as it shifted, and I found myself face to face with the Moon Goddess. I looked at her in awe, as I had never seen her in real life before. Some people claimed that they saw her when they faced a crisis. They said that she was a beautiful goddess, and she would give advice to them to help them with whatever they needed.
She announced, "I am the Moon Goddess. I have been expecting you, Belle."
I was shocked. "Moon Goddess, you were expecting me? Are you sure you did not get the wrong Belle? There are many people with the name Belle."
She smiled.
"Yes, my strong girl, you are the one I am expecting because I have always been watching you. You've been through so much, but you did not give up. And honestly, I am so proud of you."
I smiled widely.
"Thank you."
"Let's have a walk for a while before you have to return to reality and prepare for the war."
While we were walking, I looked at her.
"Who do you think will win the war?"
She smiled.
"I can't tell you because if I tell you, it won't be called a war. What I can only tell you is that if you only focus on your enemies and find out where the weakness is, you can win the war."
I nod my head in response.
But the smile on her face didn't last long as she looked at me with sadness.
She had a sad smile.
"The war that is happening tomorrow will be filled with much blood. The people that you love are destined to die. You must be strong enough to defend against Matt, or else everyone that you know will die at his hand."
I begged her as I felt tears rolling down my cheek.
"Who are the ones who will die? Can you please tell me?"
The goddess hugged me to comfort me and wiped away my tears.
"It's not my position to say. Even if I tell you, it won't change anything. It's part of their destiny, and you have to accept it."
I started crying again.
"How can I be brave again if I see my loved ones die?"
She wiped away my tears.
"All good things will happen once this war is finished. You will find yourself loving another person that brought you happiness among all these tragedies. Take good care of your health, and I wish you all the best."
I shouted, "What do you mean, good things? I don't understand how it is a good thing if I'm going to lose my loved ones, as you say."
She smiled at me. "Only time will tell, my Belle. I hope to see you again."
She moved away, looked back at me once, and slowly disappeared in front of me.
I woke up from my deep sleep. So many questions were forming inside me:
Was William going to die?
Who was going to die?
I looked at the clock and realized that it was nine in the morning. I quickly took a shower and wore my clothes that were suitable for the war.
When I was done, I made my way down to find William with his dashing clothes. Once I came down to the first floor, I spotted everyone, including William, sitting at the dining table. There was an empty seat near William. I walked to the chair and sat down. I noticed that everyone looked refreshed even though they had slept for less than eight hours.
I looked at William and asked, "How long did you sleep?"
He frowned.
"About 5 hours."
I was shocked.
"That is not enough!"
He said, "I had to take turns to sleep to watch the pack."
I squeezed his hand.
"Do you want me to make your coffee later?"
He smiled and kissed me on my forehead.
"Yes, thank you."
There was so much delicious food in front of me, which made me want to taste everything, which was weird. I usually turned down the food in front of me as I was scared of gaining weight.
I held up my plate and took food from different dishes. Rose looked at me with a weird look.
I mind-linked her. "Why are you giving me that weird look?"
Rose mind-linked me back. "You do not eat that much usually. So why all of a sudden are you eating so much?"
"Probably because of all the stress these past few days, that's why."
She nodded. I went back and continued to eat.
Two hours later, everyone was standing in position, ready to start the war. Romeo was starting our plan, which was to lure the wolves in. All the women and children were in the safe room protected by the witch's spell.
William signaled to Romeo to begin the plan. He opened the door, and some wolves started to enter. When they stepped onto the trap, a net was released to trap them, and I used my arrows to kill them straight away. Bill took out his phone and started calling Matt.
Blake looked at me and mind-linked me, saying, "Be careful."
I nodded and focused on Romeo so that nothing went wrong. When Romeo hung up, we heard a deafening growl that seemed to belong to Matt, as only the pack leader could make that loud sound. Then, the witch, Sabrina, started to chant some spell in a weird language that I did not even understand. I looked out of the window and saw that there was fog covering the ground. This plan was great because our enemies would not notice that we had hidden some explosives for them.
Some wolves already died from the explosive blasts. We started to shift into our wolf forms and ran out of the house to fight. I scanned my surroundings for Matt.
A wolf in front of me tried to catch me, but I quickly used my claw and scratched his stomach and neck. It lost so much blood dripping onto the floor that it died.
I said to my wolf, Trisha, "Let's fucking kill all of them."
My wolf growled, and we started to kill the wolves attacking our pack members.
I was so busy attacking the rogue wolves that I didn't notice that one big black wolf was attacking me all of a sudden.
Blake's POV:
Thirty minutes before the war…
I wanted to ask Maria, the witch of my pack, something important. I walked up to her while she was busy doing her things.
"Can I speak to you privately?"
She smirked. "Sure. I know what you are going to ask me because the expression on your face is obvious."
She walked me to her room and asked, "So, what do you want to talk about?"
I was nervous.
"Will Belle die?"
I asked her this question because I dreamt of holding her while she was slowly dying in my arms.
"All of us are destined to die because that is what the Moon Goddess had already planned from when we were born. We cannot change that fact. That's all I can tell you because the more I say, the more different our destiny is going to be," she told me.
I looked at her.
"Thank you."
Before I was about to reach for the doorknob, she said, "She will not die, but someone is going to die for her."
When she said those words, I knew who she was referring to. I left her room and made my way down to prepare myself.
I said to myself, "No matter what happens, I will do it because I owe it to her. I have since the day I rejected her."
