New position

SOPHIE'S POV

" Finally," I exclaimed in excitement as I got to my new office, it felt so comforting to have all of this and a better life for my daughter.

I had longed for a family to call mine and now Selene and I were not alone. We had a whole family to ourselves, a family we could call ours. As I stared around the office, I could help but picture the look on their faces as my dad annouced me as his daughter to everyone.

As I settled into my new role as the acting CEO, I couldn't help but reflect on my journey. From a life on the streets to the position of contract wife to a business mogul and now to this, her position of glamour and respect, the acting CEO of one of the biggest companies around. it was truly surreal.

" Who would have thought?" I smirked, as I stared at the office with it much beauty, I could not be more grateful for the opportunity.

As I wondered in my thoughts, my mind drifted to what had transpired afterwards and Claire reaction towards me. I sighed and decided that Claire's opinion no longer held any weight; it did not matter what she thought. All that mattered now was my own success and the admiration of those around me.

As I walked around in luxurious corner office, my heart racing with excitement and pride. The mahogany desk looked beautiful, the plush leather chair, and the breathtaking view of the city skyline were all mine now.

" Oh my goodness, this is so beautiful." I exclaimed as I noticed the view, I could have the view of the city by just looking at the side of my office.

I sat on the chair, and got up again, I was too excited to sit just yet. I walked around admiring all I had achieved. I did not know who helped with sending the information that helped me find my real parents but I was grateful I had found them. I owed them for everything I had now.

It was a stark contrast to the days when I struggled to find shelter and food on those very streets that now seemed like a distant memory. As I sat down behind the desk, I couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence and determination. This was my chance to prove that anyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve greatness.

When Dad told me he was going to announce I was his daughter at the retirement party, I was not sure about what the reaction would be so I asked him not to. I didn't want him to but he insisted saying he wanted everyone to know he had found his daughter.

I smiled and finally agreed, the search for my real parents was not easy and at first they had their hesitations but with the DNA and the testimony of the nurse, I was finally accepted.

As I sat there in my new office, the memories of my past flooded back. The days of struggling to survive on the streets felt like a lifetime ago. My aunt had thrown me out not bothering to see how I would survive.

Now, here I was, surrounded by luxury and success. Even though, it seemed surreal, it was real, and it was all because I never gave up on finding my true identity.

I took a deep breath and leaned back in my chair, the soft leather hugging me like a comforting embrace. The view from my office window was breathtaking, with the city lights twinkling like stars against the night sky. As I looked out at the bustling streets below, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment wash over me. I was going to use my position to pay everyone in their own coin.

The sound of my heels clicking against the marble floors echoed through the office, a reminder of how far I had come. I glanced at my reflection in the floor-to-ceiling windows, admiring the confident woman staring back at me. The world was mine for the taking, and I was ready to leave my mark on it.

Soon enough, my phone buzzed with notifications from various news outlets announcing my appointment as CEO. The news was all over town and congratulatory messages came in their numbers.

It was surreal to see my face plastered across screens and newspapers all over the city. People were intrigued by the rags-to-riches story of Sophie Harrison and they wanted to know more about how she had managed to overcome all odds. As I read through some of the articles written about me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride knowing that my journey had inspired others to never give up on their dreams and fight for what they wanted.

The luxurious office reminded me of all that I had achieved against all odds. But amidst all the success, there was still a part of me yearning for something more meaningful.

I wasted no time in immersing myself in my new role. The responsibilities of a CEO were daunting, but I was ready to face them head-on. I delved deeper into the intricacies of the company's operations, familiarizing myself with every department and employee. My goal was clear – to lead this organization to new heights and solidify my position as it's leader.

I knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy. There would be challenges and obstacles to overcome, but I was determined to prove myself.

I wanted to use my newfound power and influence to create real change in the world. I was going to take over the business world. The success and admiration were fulfilling, but they felt hollow without a deeper purpose. So, I started brainstorming ways to make a landmark while still running a successful business empire. It wasn't an easy task, but I was determined to make it happen.

As I looked out at the city skyline from my office window, a sudden realization struck me , the only way to take over was making the company bigger and going up against Karl.

With the resources and connections at my disposal, I had the ability to make a difference. I knew it was not going to be an easy task but I was ready to go on with it. I was going to proof myself once more.

With this newfound sense of purpose fueling me, I got to work on how best to win Karl.

One of the biggest companies in the state were issuing out a contract, it was for Karl's company but determined to make a landmark, I made up my mind to bid for a contract against Karl.

" We have to win this gig." I mumbled to myself as I thought of the appropriate approach. I decided that with each decision I made, I was going to create a positive impact on the company and its employees.

My leadership style was one of transparency and collaboration, empowering my team members to contribute their ideas and expertise. Together, we were going to work tirelessly towards our common goal.
