Chapter Ten

I jumped on his back and he chuckled as he walked up the stairs. He didn't seem tired but instead he seemed to enjoy having me on his back. We reached the roof and I was left breathless by the view that we could observe from the top. Jake put me on the ground and I thought I was going to fall as I failed to gain balance on these heels. He quickly held me by my waist and our gazes locked. His eyes were damn hypnotizing and at the moment I saw him approaching his face near mine, I knew what he was up to. I pushed him back and leant against the wall to jeep myself steady.

"Listen Jake, I'm not like Penny or Aspen" I said looking at the hot boy standing in front of me. "I won't sleep with you" I said gaining a smirk from him.

"Not now" he simply said looking at me.

"Never" I replied. "I'm sorry if I lead you on the wrong track by playing this flirting game with you" I said trying to assess my own words. What track was I talking about? I came here just two days ago. He simply nodded as he looked at me.

"You'll want me sooner or later" he said as he chuckled. I shook my head.

"I'm not the type of girl who throw themselves at you" I simply replied as I stood properly.

"That's what I liked" he said with a smile. A genuine smile. "Friends?" he asked. I nodded and we sat on the roof looking at this awesome view in front of me. "Sooner or later, I'll get you" he said with a challenging smile.

"Instead of waiting, satisfy yourself with Penny" I replied with a smirk.

"You know, the fact that you rejected me makes me want you more, right?" he said with a husky voice and seductive smile.

"I know" I replied proudly. He simply shook his head and chuckled. We say there talking about all and nothing. We lost track of time. My phone buzzed in my pocket and it was Shane. I answered and put it on loud speaker.

"Where are you?" he asked in a protective brotherly voice.

"Where are you?" I mimicked his voice earning a groan on the phone and a chuckle from Jake.

"Are you drunk?!" Shane yelled through the phone making me glare at the phone. "You promised mom!" he continued. Jake was looking at me with a puzzled look.

"Shane! I'm not drunk!" I shouted back. "I'm on the school's roof!" I said.

"You're with Jake, right?" he asked in a rude way. I nodded and heard a chuckle next to me. Then I realizing that I was nodding with the phone. "Don't tell me that you already fall-" I hung off the phone as he was starting to annoy me.

"You have a great reputation with girls, right?" I asked Jake as We started to walk back down.

"With bitches exactly" he replied with his usual smirk.

"Good thing that I'm not a bitch" I said as we walked to my locker to see a pissed off Shane and my friends standing next to it.

"I'm not drunk and I didn't sleep with him!" I said before he started yelling at me. "We just got kick out of the class" I told him as I looked at him.

"I didn't even say a word" Shane said with a smirk.

"I know that you were going to yell at me" I gave him a pointed look.

"Because you're my sister" he said with a smile as he shuffled my hair. Jake was just leaning against my locker looking at us.

I was sitting with Peyton, Emma, Nathan, Drake and Ben. It was lunch and we were all talking and joking. They consider me a park if their group and I felt myself again sitting with them. We were all talking when I felt someone sit beside me. Jake smiled at me and Shane sat next to her sister.

"What are you guys doing here?" Drake asked. Nearly all the kids in the cafeteria were looking at our table and the popular one. Aspen and Penny were sending glares in our direction.

"I need to know my brother's girlfriend" Jake said giving Penny a smile.

"Or is it because of Nya" Drake said wiggling his eyebrows. Jake gave me a smile and I blushed deep red. I shouldn't Falk for him or even feel attracted to him but I do.

"Totally because of her" he replied with a smirk. Shane smacked Jake's head and he started laughing.

That night I sat on my bed and thought about Ryan. I don't know why I was thinking about that jerk. The worst was not that he cheated on me but it was that he used to beat me. I'm tired of playing the strong one. The only ones knowing what Ryan used to do are Shane and my mother. Emma and Tom didn't know and I don't want them to know. Even my father didn't know and I just wanna forget this time of my life. I don't know why I stayed with him even if he hit me. I know I'm simply a fool who was in love.

That's why I fail to trust people so easily. I remembered the say I told Ryan I was breaking up. Let's just say that he was damn furious but what surprised me that he didn't hit me. But instead he told me that he was going to win me back. I scoffed at that thought. Seriously, i would prefer death than dating him again. Jake and Drake didn't come today and I seriously think that they are going to join our group for lunch everyday. I felt asleep thinking about this new life.

*******

It was soon Friday night and my mom and Tom decided to go celebrate their wedding anniversary. They booked a hotel and they are going to stay there for a week, meaning that we are going to have the house just for us.

They were packing their things while Shane, Emma and myself were sitting in the living room waiting for them to walk down stair and tell us the rules.

They walked down with two suitcases in their hands. My mother and Tom stood in front of us with cross arms as if we already broke the rules. "So, You have the right to bring your friends home, and when I say friends, I mean, Maximum five friends" she said looking at us and waiting for us to nod to show that we have understood. We all nodded and we waved them good bye. As soon as they were gone, we all turned to each other and a bright smile on our faces.
