Natalie

"Boss!" One of her men burst out from the door.

"What is it?" She asked in a tone that showed she was annoyed.

"They are here! The police are here, we were sounded." He said in a panic tone that caused her expression to change.

She swore under her breath, running her fingers through her hair and I sighed in relief. Maybe Lorenzo has come with the police to rescue us.

"What do we do now?" He asked, still panicking and the two other men suddenly ran towards the door and opened. They ran out of the place, following the guy that just came in.

It was now only Esther and us, her face looked terrified as called on her men to come back but they didn't listen. I let out another breath knowing for sure that they won't come back and was a little relieved that she is the only one left.

My sight seemed to get her attention and she glared at me and slowly made her way to me.

"It is all your fault! If you didn't tell him anything none of this would have happened! She yelled in anger.

"And now, you will pay, I will make you watch your daughter die right in front of you and then kill you afterwards." She yelled, taking the gun out of the drawer and I shook my head. I shield Fiona who was trembling even with my body.

"Esther, you don't have to do this! Please don't," I begged while she got closer to us with a smirk on her face. She just rolled her eyes before pointing the gun to Fiona who was behind me.

"Say goodbye." She said, pulling the trigger.

A loud gunshot went off but then it wasn't from her gun. It was from someone else and that made her drop her gun, she slumped on the floor with her body trembling in fear.

"Freeze and keep your hands down, one movement and you are dead." I heard a voice and I am guessing it was the police.

I watched as she raised her trembling hands and then the door was open, a police officer entered.

"You have the right to remain silent, anything you said may be used against you in the court of law."

The police officer handcuffs her and she breaks down in tears.

"Are you guys okay? Is anyone hurt?" He asked after he had handcuffed her.

"We are fine." He nodded and then a few more police officers walked in and second later, Lorenzo followed.

"Father!" Fiona called, he ran towards us and hugged both of us. I have never felt so happy in my life.

I hugged him back after they untied my hands and cried into his shirt.

"I miss you!" I cried out and he held me tightly in his arms.

"I miss both of you so much." He pulled away and began scanning us.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I shook my head and he sighed in relief.

"I am glad you guys are okay."

"Come on, let's go." One of the police said, interrupting our moment and Lorenzo nodded his head before he got up and took Fiona in his hands and held me in his other hand.

Kissed both our foreheads before turning to the door and we walked out of the room. I was surprised at how many police officers were outside the house and then my attention caught Esther and her men that ran away. They caught them.

"Come on, move it!"

"Please, let us go." One of Esther's men pleaded.

"Don't commit crime if you can't handle my friend. Now move it, we don't have all day!"

I sighed, following Lorenzo to his car where Alex was waiting for us. He smiled at me and I returned the smile before we entered the car. I looked at the window as the car drove off and then back to Fiona who looked so happy and Lorenzo who was sitting in the back with. His hand intertwined with mine.

I felt so happy, we are now safe. I am so happy to see Lorenzo and happy that things will be the way it always is with Lorenzo and I, including Fiona. Finally, we are safe.


Lorenzo Pov.

I smiled, looking down at Natalie who was sleeping soundly in my arms and then to Fiona who was looking at the window as Alex drove us back home. I couldn't be any happier to have them back and I am glad that they are safe. It is a good thing that we showed up when we did or I don't know what would have happened to both of them. I just couldn't imagine losing them, I am so happy that they are in my arms.

Now that they are safe, I will do a lot of things I have been planning in my head for so long. I was planning on taking Natalie on a date, I love this woman so much and want to do a lot of things with her. I want to travel to other countries with just the two of us and even on vacation. I am even planning on bringing Fiona with us sometime, we can travel together as a family and I felt happy just thinking about it.

"Father? Look, we are home!" She shouted, pulling me out of my little world and I looked through the window to see us pulling up at my house.

"Yes, Fiona. We are home."

Alex pulled up in the parking lobby and then came to open the door for me so I could get out of the car with a sleeping Natalie in my arms.

"I miss home!" Fiona said and I looked down to see her walking next to me as we entered the house.

Alex opened the door for me and I entered with Natalie still sleeping. I made my way upstairs to my room and Fiona stayed behind with Alex in the living room. I walked further up the stairs, I could hear her laughter. I smiled, feeling glad that she is once again happy.

I kept the smile on my lips as I walked to my room and opened the door. Waking straight to the bed and gently placing her down so she won't wake up. She still seems to be sleeping but as soon as I got to leave, she woke up.

"Hi?" She said with a smile on her face and I couldn't resist the urge to smile back at her.

I smiled as I sat down beside her and kissed her lips.

"Are you still sleepy? I am sorry if I woke you up."

She looked so tired, I wanted her to sleep more and recover but she shook her head immediately before speaking.

"It is okay, I just woke up naturally so there is nothing to apologize for."

"If you say so then I think you should get some rest. You look really tired." I cupped her face and she pouted, looking at me.

"But I am not tired."

I sighed, I knew why she said that. It is not that she doesn't want to sleep but she knows that I will leave her alone once she falls asleep and she doesn't want that. I understand her though, I wouldn't want her to leave my sight if I was in her position.

But she needs to rest and sleep peacefully without any distraction. It is better than way because if I stay, I might end up in playing with her hair or even kissing her so it is better she rests without me.

"Natalie, I know you don't want me to leave your side but I will be distracting your sleep. You need to sleep, I can see the tiredness in your eyes. Your eyes are swollen and have dark dark circles around them, so just sleep, okay?" She looked away from me, looking at the bedsheets and her eyes teary as if she was about to cry.

"Natalie, darling. Please don't cry." I said in the most gentle voice I could, hoping she wouldn't cry.

I hated seeing her for years. I watched as a tear escaped her eyes and she quickly wiped it away. I cursed under my breath, quickly thinking of a way to make her stop.

"Natalie?" I called, raising her head to meet my eyes. I took a deep breath and wiped her tears.

"It is for you to have a peaceful sleep."

"But I will miss you. I don't want you to leave me, Lorenzo. I missed being close to you and cuddling with you until I fell asleep. I miss everything." She said in a pleading voice and I bit my lips, trying to not fall for her pleas but who am I kidding?

I can't even express how happy I felt, hearing her say all those words even though I tried to pretend I was not. I even tried my best to not fall for her pleas but I ended up falling for them.

She is too cute, her eyes get super cute and they begin to sparkle. I can't stop looking at them and then next thing I know, I fall for her pleas. I can't say no, it is just not fair if she looks at me with those cute eyes.

"Fine," I gave in and that seemed to make all her tears go away and happy emotions came upon her.

"Thank you," she said happily before pulling me in for a hug and I chuckled at how cute she looked and sounded.

"But that doesn't mean you won't sleep, come here, I will put you to sleep." I gestured her to come into my arms but she pressed her lips, hesitating a little bit.
