Chapter 168 CHAPTER 168
"Nana?" Angel asked.
"I'm all alone and no one can hear us," I told her.
"We just have to wait a minute mom is on her way up with herbal tea. I'm in my room." Angel told me.
"Did you pick a new color for your room yet?" I asked as we waited for Emerson.
"No, Nana I'm old enough that they can't force me to go live with either of them right?" She asked.
"Yes, your old enough to make your own choices in life Angel you're not a child anymore you're a beautiful young woman." I told her.
"Hi mom, sorry I took so long getting the tea " Emerson said.
"No worries, we can talk for a while, or Angel can open the letters. It is just the three of us for how ever long you both need," I told them.
ANGEL'S POV
I sat on my bed; mom was sitting in the big chair in my room and Nana was on the phone. Nana was in Paris she just survived a plane crash but here she was on the phone with me and mom because I needed her support.  I love her so much for being here for me. This was the first time we had been separated by our own doing. Not like when Lillian had kidnapped mom. It felt weird her not being just next door.
"Angel are you ok?" Mom asked.
"Yes, nervous though." I told her.
"Take your time I'm not going anywhere," Nana said. I wanted to say but you did and almost left us for good but I kept that to my self. I guess something else to talk Uncle Paul about.
"Mom was it bad weather there when you got to Paris?" Mom asked Nana.
"No there was just lightning up in the clouds, when we descending it was a sunny day." Nana said.
"I'm just happy you and Papa are ok." I told her.
"Believe me after all that your Papa was just fine he started complaining he was hungry as we were trying to find the pack." Nana told us. Mom and I laughed.
"I'm going to open the one from Len Robertson first, it is not very thick." I told them as I carefully open the envelope with the letter opener. Then read it out loud.

I don't know who you are but if you think you can blackmail me you have another thing coming. How much did you pay the woman who wrote the letter. You don't know shit. I will meet with you a week Saturday being the seventeenth at 2pm. I have to greet you with my Alpha you better keep your mouth shut. Don't expect anything cordial from me. I will deal with your ass once Alpha leaves us to talk.
Len Robertson.

I started to laugh. Nana was not saying anything, and mom was just looking at me.
"Angel what did you say in the letter to him for him to be so nasty?" Mom asked
"Not much actually, just I knew what he did seventeen year ago and I wanted to know why. If he did not meet me he would lose everything. I did not even sign my name. " I told them.
"I guess I can understand. If I had been able to write a letter or confront my biological father when I was seventeen I don't think I would have been very nice either. I'm glad Tyron and Papa Dwayne are going with you." Nana said.
"Papa Dwayne is going?" I asked Nana. This was the first I had heard of it.
"He has some business with the packs Alpha so he decided he would go the same day. Just in case you needed him." Nana told me.
"I appreciate that, if your not home after I meet him can I call you when I get home so the three of us can do this again?" I asked Nana.
"You can, I will always be there for you Angel even if it is just a phone call." Nana said. It made me smile. One of the pups started to cry.
"Hang on a minute, I would go see if she lost her soother," mom said getting up.  But the bedroom door opened and Hailey said she had it. She would take care of my sisters for as long as we needed, the closed the door. Mom sat back down and I picked up the letter from Trisha Robinson.

Dear Angel,
I'm sitting here with Trisha helping her write back you. My name is Brenda, Trisha is my younger sister, and we live together in a two-bedroom bungalow. I remember you as a small pup. You were such a good pup. Now it came as quite a shock to us that you were alive and well.  When you went missing we were told you were taken by rogues. They found your blanket by a raging river, and everyone said you must have been put on the river. We were told you had passed on. We would love to meet you and see the beautiful woman you have grown into.
Would the eighteenth be suitable for you at one. We could sit down and talk. I look forward to meeting with you and your adoptive mother
Brenda and Trisha

"That was a nice letter," Mom said.
"Sounds like she is excited to see you both, you will have to tell me all about it" Nana said.
"Mom, Nana I hope that after seventeen years she does not think she can be my mother. I have a mom. Emy raised me up right with your help Nana. She never looked for me. She just took them at their word and continued on with her life. I feel no bond with her like I do with mom and you Nana. If I had been with her I would have died at eight when I shifted for the first time this is my home and my family." I told them. Mom got up and came over to the bed and hugged me.
"Angel I think the moon goddess would have had us find you before you turned eight," Nana said.
"Do you really think so?" I asked her.
"Yes I do, you were created with extraordinary powers. Look what you and your light have done." Nana said to me.
"Thank you Nana that makes me feel better." I told her. Mom and I talked to her for just a few minutes more then let her go. We went to see what my sisters were doing. I was changing Jade and I noticed a birth mark on the inside of her leg it looked like a crescent moon with half a star behind it.
"Mom look at this!" I said. She came over and looked then called dad up to the nursery and showed him. He was smiling.
"What is it?" Mom asked.
"Our daughters are destined for great things my love that is the mark of a protector." He said still smiling.
"You and Mavis have this mark?" Mom asked.
