Alyssa's POV
The more she explained the more confused I became. She must have read my facial expression because she urged me to calm down.
"I know this is too much for you to process," she said. "But you don't have to worry. You will get there. The answers you need will come to you but you must be ready" She warned. Answers will come depending on how ready your mind is to take them.
"What do you mean?" I asked not sure what she meant.
"The seer you went to see didn't tell you much because your mind was too scared to accept the reality. But, I am sure she warned you of the danger that lays ahead."
She paused waiting for an answer and I nodded.
"You know the seer? I asked, wondering how she knew that I had been to see the seer.
"I know many things, little one. And Lydia " she chuckled" is an old friend." We were roommates back in our college days." she explained.
At first, I thought I heard wrongly until she said we were seatmates too and we were almost always on the same team in most of the project."
She stared at my face and gave out a faint laugh that revealed her set of well-arranged white teeth.
"You look shocked. " My family is bestowed with the gift of youthfulness.
After we Glock 18 years of age we stop aging rapidly. After that, we don't age until after every 35 years".
As she unveils this shocking fact about her family, I wondered if she also can read minds because that is what she seem to have been doing to me ever since we got here.
As if she knew what was in my mind she said
"I am a human psychologist, my father personally taught me about the psychology of humans when I was younger," she explained to us as if she was asked. This woman is simply full of surprises. I looked at her teenage-like body and wondered how old she would be.
"Alyssa* she called me calmly placing her right palm on my knee.
"Your mother Samantha and her five siblings Starrk, Tina, Darius, Darrien, and Ryker were da direct descendant of the blood moon goddess. TTheirpack was called the house of the hybrid originals. Nobody knows how their pack came to be in existence but it is said that they possess extraordinary powers that were enough to enable them to survive alone without a pack.
The house of the hybrid originals were primordial werewolves blessed with supernatural abilities that make them stand out among other werewolves.
They are extremely powerful and intelligent, super father here bites are lethal to other werewolves and they possess a healing power. Under the right condition, they can bring a dead werewolf back to life.
Because of these abilities, they were called alphas and Lunas. It was the tradition of the family to wander around the world all year round exploring and studying the universe and the way of its inhabitants.
Some historians say they aimed to unite the world and become the rulers of the world. Although that story was countered by many other chroniclers saying it was baseless.
Every blood moon, all of them return home to see each other and share stories of the places they have been to and what they found.
One day, they came back home as per tradition during the blood moon. That night, it rained heavily and they all had too much to drink.
Luna Samantha and alpha Darius were left alone in the room. By the time they realized what they were doing the deed had already been done.
They agreed to keep it a secret forever but then the unthinkable happened. " She paused to observe our faces as if looking for something." What happened? " Ethan asked eager to know more.
"Alyssa happened. " She said sharply. Luna Samantha realized she was pregnant after she had gone back to explore the world.
Confused as she was, she called on an urgent meeting.
She narrated everything she could remember about that faithful night Alyssa was conceived.
The revelation led to some misunderstanding between the siblings of the house of the originals.
To cut the long story short, your mother left the house and never came back even after several messages sent to her asking her to come back home. She didn't even come back during the blood moon.
She carried you for six years and during these years she went into hiding.
Nobody could find her but she was sighted at different places occasionally.
"She paused again to stare at us as if trying to figure out what we were thinking." I wanted to ask about her siblings but she interrupted me saying this is all you need to know.
Once again, taking me by surprise. It felt good to know something about my family but my brain was finding it difficult to process.
If my family possesses this kind of power how comes I don't possess any special power? I wondered.
*The time is coming and you need to prepare" she said. "Your powers will begin to manifest as soon as your body is ready to bear its burden" She explained.
She once again assured me that everything would fall into place as soon as I was ready.
Although I kept telling her I was ready she insisted I wasn't and that as soon as I was ready I would know.
By the time she was done narrating the story, it was already past noon.
She called in a servant and asked her to take us to a guest room which was located behind the main building.
I wanted to tell her about my dream but she said she would listen to my dream later in the night after we must have rested. She told her servants to provide us with everything we need as we were special guests.
As we walk out of the room and into the guest room, I couldn't help but wonder how complex life can be.
Who would have taught that I come from a line of primordial werewolves? I have heard about primordial werewolves and the things they are capable of.
The first time I heard about them was from Ethan. I had laughed over it thinking it was a myth.
The second time was during a mythology class. We were told they existed but that was centuries ago and have now all gone into extinction.
There were a lot of controversial stories behind their existence.
Ethan never agreed they are completely extinct but I neither cared to know why he thinks so nor how they went into extinction.
I was once told a story of a primordial werewolf whose anger destroyed an entire pack. It was a popular story told to naughty kids to scare them.
I remembered the story had scared the hell out of the little me back then. I felt glad then that they no longer exist.
But here I am processing the fact that they not just exist but are my family.
