Chapter 94
We were able to settle in at Tricia's place. Tricia had made a lovely meal for us and we ate chatting about Life.
I helped Tricia cleared the table and tied up the kitchen.
Tricia grabbed a bottle of wine and two glasses and asked me to come with her to the porch.
She set down the bottle of wine and glass cup while I had my seat.
She left for the kitchen and returned back with the wine opener.
"Still the same old vibes" I said.
"Of course but, a bit new neighbors" Tricia said , pulling off the wine cover. She poured some wine into the glasses and handed a glass to me and had her seat.
"Thank you. New neighbours you say? Nice. So how are they?
"Like neighbours should be"
"Tricia..." I paused and stared at her for a while before averting my gaze. I had a drink from the cup. "Hmmm, taste nice. What brand is this?
"Seriously? you can't recognise your favourite brand. Sure, New York did something on your palate."
"So tell me, how have you been, all these while?
"I've been good. Working my ass off, taking care myself, trying to stay occupied, so I don't think so much about you and miss you like crazy. And you, you must have lived your best of life"
"Yes I did, and I'm glad I listened to you and Donald. New York gave me a new identity, made me better and, look at me... I'm successful, launching my own fashion line, under Donald's company, isn't it amazing?
"Of course it is amazing. So tell me, you and Donald.."
"Oh, We're still good friends and Donald is such a nice guy. Any woman who finally have him to herself will definitely be the luckiest woman on earth"
"Oh, I see. So what's stopping you from having him?
"What? Are you crazy?
"Oh, yet he's the father of your son?

"Wow! Does Joshua know him to be his godfather? No, let me rephrase this, does Joshua sees him as a godfather or as his biological father? You know, it's just the three of us that knows who the biological father is and you and I know that the three of us wouldn't want Jayden anywhere close to Joshua, I mean, Jayden isn't to know you had a kid for him and that kid is Joshua. "Okay Tricia, I've heard you"
"So you're going to do that?
"I never said I will. Well, it's been a long day. I need to go hit the bed now. Goodnight"
"So, which bed are you hitting?
"I'm sleeping with Joshua and Donald"
"Why? Not like he's your husband. You could actually sleep in my room tonight "
"That sounds really great but Joshua would be made at me if I do so"
"And why so?
"You see, Joshua already pictured we three sleep on the same bed, with him sleeping in the middle of the bed"
"Like a one big little family, you see. Bitch, just as they say to guys, wife her up, I'd say, husband him up immediately"
I chuckled " Crazy girl. I'll be off now. Meanwhile, thanks for the wine, I enjoyed it. Reminded me of the good old days. Goodnight"
I dropped the glass cup, rose on my feet and went inside.
Donald had already tucked Joshua in and was lying on the couch, waiting for me to come to bed
I walked in and carefully shut the door.
"I'm sorry for coming in late..I was having a moment with Tricia"
"No, it's okay. You two really have a lot of things to catch up with. I'll go get some water from the kitchen"
"Okay. Get some for me"
"Sure"
Donald got out of the couch, and left for the kitchen.
He grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and let out a low scream when Tricia appeared before him, so up and close.
He dropped the bottle of water on the counter and exhaled.
"Do you wish to give me a heart attack, Tricia "
"What's keeping you?
"What's keeping me what?
"What's keeping you from confessing your feelings to Monalisa "
"And who said I haven't confessed my feelings?
"I know you haven't. if not why would Mona to you as Joshua's godfather?
"She did?
"Donald, what the hell is going on? Are you going to sit back and watch her slip through your fingers, again? You want to lose her for the second time?
"No I don't want to. I really want to have her"
"Then confess your feelings to her"
"I want to but I couldn't bring myself to do it"

"Look...,. I've known Monalisa for years. She's the type that's good at cutting people off her life easily. I was scared that she would do so, that she would run away and I would not be able to find her in New York city so I decided to pipe low and enjoy the moment. Honestly, having around, having her live in my house, was the best thing that has happened to me. The times we spent together, the memories, they are really enough for me. it's okay if she doesn't end up with me. So long she is happy...then I'm happy"
"And Joshua...?
"Joshua... he'll adjust, he's a smart kid. So, stop bothering yourself with things like this and get some sleep. goodnight Tricia "
Donald patted Tricia's shoulder and left the kitchen with the bottle of water.
"What kind of dude is he? he is willing to let go of his first love? wow!You missed Monalisa, you missed.
The next morning, I was up early, dressed in my gym clothes, to hit the gym.
I was able to find my gym membership card. Bro, I don't regret getting this .
Tricia was surprised to see me up so early for an exercise. I requested her to join me and she quickly turned me down.
Donald walked into the kitchen, yawning and scratching his head.
"Good morning ladies. Why are we up so early in the morning? Monalisa, are those gym clothes?
"Yes. Ready to hit the gym"
"Oh, cool"
"On a second thought, I think Donald should go with you "
"Donald? Why?
"Because, there will be lots of men out there, feasting on your sexy body because that motherhood body, is bodying bitch. What do you think?
"I don't think this is a great idea"
"Yes. Just give me a second and I'll get changed"
"No Donald... you need not do that"
"Oh yes he does. Go ahead dude"

Donald hurried back to the room and got changed into his gym dress and joined me at the living room.
I grabbed Tricia's car key and we headed out.
A few minutes later, we arrived at the Gym house, ready to exercise.
I started off with some cardio, when I heard some noise in the background.
I turned back and there walked in the devil I have been avoiding all my life.
