Chapter 64: Jayden's beast
Jayden couldn't stop thinking about the incident that took place in his office and my accusations against Cynthia. Jayden leaned back, shut his eyes and inhaled sharply.
Athena walked in with some files which she placed on the table and observed Jayden for a few seconds before tapping a pen on the table to get his attention.
Jayden woke up with a start, eyes wide open, he gazed at Athena for a moment before slowly sitting up.
Athena briefed him on the files and requested him to review them. With a nod, Jayden picked up one of the files and started flipping through the pages while Athena read his body language.
Athena pulled out a chair, sat down and leaned forward intently.
"May I say something? She asked.
Jayden nodded without looking, flipping through the documents"
"Thank you. Is everything okay sir?
"Why?
"I can tell something's troubling you. You look a bit off. May I ask what the problem is"
"No. I'm good. I'll send in the files later. Honestly, I'm feeling really frazzled right now and I need a moment to gather my thoughts, process everything that happened today at the office"
"I could help"
"Yeah thanks, but I can take care of it myself. You may leave"
"Sure sir. I'll come pick the files later"
"No need. I'll send them to you"
"Okay sir"
Athena pushed back her chair, smiled brightly at Jayden and strode out.
Jayden closed the file and placed it back on the table and adjusted his tie. Jayden rose from his chair, straightened his jacket and walked out.
He paused at the door of Cynthia's office and cast a cautious glance around the hallway before pushing open her office door.
He kicked the door close, narrowing his eyes, his glare speaking volumes of his displeasure.
The door's sudden thud made Cynthia flinch and she quickly rose from her seat.
Jayden approached her with a slow deliberate pace, his anger building with each step.
He closed up the gap between them and she could feel his anger radiating like heat. Jayden raised his hand and she flinched. In a burst of rage, Jayden clutched her throat, his fingers digging deep and shoved her, her head crashing into the wall.
Cynthia stumbled backward, dazed and struggled to stay upright.
Jayden unbuckled his belt while took slow strides towards her. He pulled out his belt and the first whip landed on her back and she screamed. She gazed at him, tears streaming down her face.
"Why are you doing this to me!! She cried out
"You want to know why? You think you could possibly double cross and go living like a free bird? You dare record our intimate moments and blackmail Monalisa with that? Hold up, you record my intimate moments with Monalisa too? Wow! Hope you learned a few things from her. She is wild in the bedroom. She rides me like crazy and makes me cum like mad. And you dare try to stop me enjoying what I paid for? He whipped her again with the belt and bent down, gripping her neck while she struggled to break free from his grip.
"Let go, you are hurting me" she murmured, her voice barely audible.
"I should let go? Fine I will" Jayden released her, while she coughed, trying to catch her breath.
Jayden fixed his belt and grabbed the box of wipe on the table and pulled out the wipes and cleaned his hands.
"I can't believe you made me break my rules and hit a woman. No, you are not a woman. You are a demon"
Jayden kicked her legs out of his way and walked out of her office.
Jayden returned back to his office and fell on his couch and exhaled. He adjusted his tie, exhaling again.
"I do not know what to believe anymore. I know Cynthia is capable of doing that shit and for Monalisa to crash in like a thunder in my company without waiting, she must be so pissed off and tired of Cynthia's bullshit. She did beat the hell out of Cynthia. And what Cynthia said... that Monalisa lied to us, her mum is alive but she hates her mum so much. How true is that statement? That's what I have to find out"
After a long day at school, Sophie dropped by at my office to check up on me. She unzipped her bag and pulled out a gift bag from her schoolbag.
"For you ma'am"
"For me? This is a Déjà vu"
"Déjà vu?
"Tell me, who asked you to give this to me?
"Oh! My mum. And she said she would love it if you and uncle would come over to our place either to spend the weekend or at least have dinner with us"
"That's so thoughtful of your mum. It's such a nice idea and I love it and I think Jayden would love it also"
"Uh...mum and uncle are pretty cat and dog"
"No way. Tell me about it"
"A lot to tell. They tease and taunt each other a lot. Sometimes, dad ends up covering my ears. I think they curse a lot"
I laughed so hard.
"That's really funny and I can't wait to witness it"
"just talk to uncle. Uh...my ride is here. I need to go home"
"Sure. I'll leave once I'm done with this"
"No. Let's do one thing, I'll give you a ride home and we'll continue chatting. What do you think?
"Deal"
I immediately packed up with the help of Sophie.
While trying getting into the car, I saw a familiar face which was bruised, fuming with so much anger.
Under her neck, she made a sign with her thumb, she is going to kill me.
Sophie called out to me and I flinched. I forced out a smile and got into the car, scared and unsettled.
Who was that and why does she want to kill. I was really lost in thought and at the same time, scared and grateful that I was riding home in Sophie's car.
