Chapter 41 Chapter 41

Chapter 41 Chapter 41
"So?" Jeremy asked as he folded his arms over his chest, now they were standing in front of a wardrobe.
"We're here now, show me what I liked, I'm curious to know something about me"

Drey smiled as he held both handles of the wardrobe and pulled to reveal
colourful collections of brand clothings, all new and arranged to captivate Jeremy. Below the clothes were some shoes from expensive brands.

Jeremy looked them over a small smile on his face that did little to hide his disappointment.

"This is it?" "I thought you said something personal"

"You sound disappointed" Drey teased inching towards him from behind as he pulled him into a back hug.

"These are all the brands of clothes that Chris gets me, tsk, he knew me so much to know what tickles my fancy" Drey tightened his hold, breathing in his scent from his neck, trying to distract him from thoughts of Chris.

"If you must know you also like being mysterious and sketchy"

"Hey!" Jeremy quarreled wanting to turn around but Drey held him in place.

"You were always so scared of being caught that even though I wanted to protect you, you never gave me a chance, always running off on your own,"

"I'm still scared of being caught Drey" Jeremy said and turned around so he was facing Drey "But I don't want to run away anymore, I feel at home with you and so does Jaden"

Drey checked, his heart filled with warmth as he pulled Jeremy into a hug again, he just couldn't get enough of him no matter how many times he hugged him.

"You know, Jaden felt me even at first sight"

"Are you disappointed that I didn't?"

"A bit" Drey muttered making Jeremy pull back a bit and pecked him.

"I could move it up to you," Jeremy said as he dragged his thumb over Drey’s lips, a seductive look on his face. "If you allow me."

"Where did you learn to be bad so Jeremy?" Drey asked under his breath as the other cornered him to the bed and pushed him gently onto it.

"I don't know, instincts?"

Drey chuckled.

"Yeah? Now that I think about it, all the times we mated was because you seduced me."

"Oh yeah? I must have been so confident?"

Just as Jeremy straddles his alpha, the door burst open and Mica and Oliver rushed in.

"Drey, Jeremy... Oh shit you guys are fast," Oliver teased making Jeremy rush
off Drey, his face red and he hides it behind his palms shy.

Drey sat up with a dangerous glare directed at the blond alpha.

"What now?" he asked, his annoyance
not hidden. Mica who had been on the look out by the door rushed back in.

"What the hell Oliver...?" she turned towards the couple, her face serious "We have to leave, the authorities are suddenly here looking for anomalies."

Jeremy jumped up fast, his heart beating fast in fear.

"What?"

"They're looking for people like us, we have to leave now or it's over," she added and rushed back to the door.

Drey too was on his feet now. "How could they have known we were here? Could it have been Chris?"

"Chris would never do something like that," Jeremy defended sharply making Drey scowl as he turned to face him.

"Yeah right, your Stockholm syndrome
won't let you see the truth Jeremy."

"What the fuck did you say?" Jeremy asked as he glared at the other, Oliver came in between them before things could get any worse.

"Not right now dumbasses, let's get everyone to safety before you continue on with your arguments"

Drey let out a breath before walking over to pick Jaden up.

"Let's go."

"But I don't have my scent dissolver on right now, if I walk out there right now everyone will know I'm an omega."

Mica banged the door close as she ran back toward them, her face panicked.

"This floor is crawling with them right now, we can't leave anymore. Shit" Mica cursed as she paced around the room.

Outside the military stormed in, going one at a time into each room to
check its occupants and they were so close to the room at the very end of the
hallway where Drey and the others were when a voice boomed through the space, halting every movement.

"Where's the captain of this operation?"

A tall tan man stepped forward. "That's me and who's asking?" The other man pulled out his card and showed it to him.

"Sergent Chris Blake of Delrago."

"Sir!" they saluted him.

"With the permission of your leader, I am to join your search party for those illegal creatures."

"Sure sir, I am honored to work side by side with you"

Why not, Chris Blake of Delrago had been known far and wide as that one alpha who was out to get every remaining remnants of the Rendro
Pack wolves, and in all the years that he joined the army, he had the highest score of those he caught and executed.

At once Chris walked into the room at the far end, used the master-key to open the door, walked in and locked it.

He got in just in time to see Mica
locking the balcony door, Jeremy and Jaden must be there.

"You," Drey growled.

"I knew it was you, didn't I warn you Chris not to show us your face again."
Oliver took his fight stance and so did Mica.

Chris rolled his eyes as he shoved
his hands into his pant pockets, he looked neat but beat.

"Don't you think you not hiding might implicate Jeremy too?" he asked, his question directed at Mica who stood her ground, glaring at him. He tried to move ahead, but Drey stepped
in front of him blocking his way.

"Listen Drey, out there are tens of soldiers waiting to burst your asses."

"And whose fault is that?"

Chris allowed his head to fall to a bow at that question, he was sure Tara did this and that was also his fault.

"I can help get you guys out of here safely, please just let me talk to
Jeremy."

Drey hated that Chris sounded apologetic and logical, how else are they supposed to leave unharmed, so he gave way and walked behind Chris as he walked to the balcony.

There Jeremy was crouching on the side, hugging his baby tightly to his chest but he snapped his head up once he heard the door open.

"Chris?" he asked shocked and then frowned as he got up. "What are you doing here? Did you really call the
authorities here for me?"

"Of course not Jeremy, how low do you think of me?" Chris asked, his heart breaking. "Listen you left a lot of things back home..."

"Things I can buy him, he doesn't need them anymore"

"Yet he needs a scent change which you clearly don't have do you?" Chris deadpanned

Drey scoffed and looked away, that was true

Chris sighed and took out a small box with two patches that could change
Jeremy’s scent & pheromones to that of an alpha.

"Even if you do this Chris, I'm still mad at you for deceiving me all these years."

"I know," Chris answered sad, as he help put the patch on the Jeremy’s neck to the dismay of his mate. "I know
nothing I say can ever make up for the evil I did to you Jeremy but please, let
me make it up to you by taking you to safety."

Jeremy looked up at Drey who looked back at him, his look fixed.

Jeremy turned back to Chris.

"And after that..."

"I'll stay away Jeremy. if you never want to see me again that's fine. I admit my loss. I have lost against fate and I give up so yeah."

Jeremy nodded with a sigh

"Fine"

Chris let out a small smile as he turned towards the others.

"Listen up," he called their attention and made a plan, all of which Tracy heard from her room just above theirs.

She tightened her fist, her face red with pure rage

"No one is taking Drey from me," she said to herself before walking back into her room to get dressed.

Their plan was to escape right?

But they won't be escaping her and her rage
