A letter, an argument, and a whole lot of change

"Do you know what this is?!" Neem looks at the letter he's waving around in an angry motion, " The letter of invitation to the Fiir Ball?" Her father throws down the letter in anger and paces her living room back and forth. Quarius and Aster have retreated to the forest room to allow them some semblance of privacy. Neem hopes that Sosier doesn't try to intervene, she can already tell this discussion isnt going to go too well, and the last thing she needs is her father beliving shes bewitches a wiere. " I thought if i hid you away, if i kept you from engaging with their pack then none of this would happen, i blame myself, i gave you too much freedom." She sits queitly listening to her father mumble to himself, she came feel her wolf spirit cowering away from his rambling, getting the sense that she is very familiar with this behavior. " i should blame your mother for not telling me the truth, and yet i can not seem to bring myself to harbor hate for a women who gave me so many years of happiness, and as much as i'd like to take credit for my station, i wouldnt have gotten this position with out her. " he finally looks at Neem in anger, and anger she has never seen directed towards her and her body flushes with aprehension. " It is just a ball dad, and at your request i will be attending with Mr. Ounder. " she says to placate him and yet his eyes grow into a molten storm. " You have been very busy havent you Neem, not only have you twarted my attemts to marry you off to a male within my approval, but you have also garnered the attention of a Dark fae!" He screams,

" Care to tell me how youve managed that hm? and yes it is just a bal as youve said, and yet the alpha of the Fiir can has sent a motion to the witches coven, demaning, DEMANDING that you stay within their grounds for the remainder of the holidays on the grounds of kin laws. Do you know dear daughter what this means! of course i was immediately summoned and asked to explain their meaning. only to discover my own letter once i returned, after convincing the coven that they must be mistaken, that there wasnt any possible way that they could be any relation between my daught and the Fiir clan. Do you know what this letter i recieved personally stated?" He continues in a whirl of anger, her house begining to smell of brimstone and ash. She had never once smelt his power out of control to this extent. She looks to the letter and goes to grab it with a shaky hand so she can read what it say. Only for her father to snatch it up and shove it inside his jacket pocket. " Seeing as how you appear to be confused, I will take it as you are just as alarmed by this news as i am, so now i will have answers from you, and you can forget about attending any ball, as of today your apartment lease will be terminated, i will speak with Ounder and agree to his wedding proposal and you will start your new life as Mrs.Ounder. " he says, taking a deep breath as though to calm himself before continuing, " And here i thought you had finally otten your magic under control, how is it you have come into contact with the Fiir prince?" He asks, staring at her pointedly. She stands from her seat and walks closer to him, her own power begining to come foward as her anger grows, " I will not marry Raphic, you know better than i do that the kin claim is a possibility even though it is one far removed. Or will you continue to stare in my face and lie, knwoung full well why i had so much trouble all these years controlling my powers, makuing me feel as though there were something wrong with me?! Tell me father, will you look me in the eyes, and continue this charade?" He takes a step back at the flash of color he sees in her eyes, " I, how could this have happened?" he says in a whisper. " What does hte letter say father?" he shakes his head in denial, running his hands through his hair trying to figure out a way to recitfy the current development he is now facing. " The letter father. " He again looks at his daughter, seeing the same spark in her eyes he once admired in her mother. " ive tried to protect you, ive tried to give you some semblance of a normal life, this will cost us everything. I believed once the spell was cast, that the wolf part of you would eventuall die, and yet i can see her just behind your eyes " he says in a devestated whisper. " The only thing you have done was stave off the inevitble , you should have told me. " she says with conviction in her voice, angry that her father would allow herself to live as half of herself. " This will change the world as we know it." he says. Looking in a frantic way. " It is only a Ball dad, and then a few days of festivities, it is no secret that once upon a time the Fiir clan had birthed a few witches, just because our history does not speak of it doesnt mean that the Fiir packs histories do not. " he finally sits down and pulls the letter out of his pocket. Smoothing out the letter and staring at it for some time. " what is it that you are truly nervous about?, It is well known that the Fiir clan have withces in their employment, i am in no danger and your position within the council should not be in jeproedy. " He crumples the letter again and looks to his daighter with barely contained tears in his eyes. " They are not just stating a loose kin claim, had this been the case it would have been of no importance. those of us in the council still remember when they birthed witches. This letter" he shakes his fist with the crumpled letter, " this letter, you do not understand,." Tired of him avoiding what has him so angry, Neem uses her magic to retrieve the letter so that she may read it herself. Blocking him from being able to take it back she reads, ' Mr Quasar, by now you have already been made aware of my intentions, please understand i do not do this to cause you harm, i do not mean to incite any troubles or pain for you, i merely am upholding a promise i made to my sister once i recieved her death box. Im well aware you will try to contest my claim, and i will simple say this, i have no problem shedding light on the truths of my lineage and i know whole heartedly that my pack will stand by me as i present proof of your daughters parentage. Is this something you truly wish to war with me on? You and i both know , the safest place for Neem is here with her wiere family. My niece deserves to know where she came from, she deserves to live a life without fear, and can you honestly say your coven will protect her from others who are so quick to give up their own in hopes it will save them? I will be announcing her at the ball as the daughter of my late sister, whether she is present or not. and there will be many witches in attendance to witness this claim if you try to prevent my clan from claiming her as my kin, i will come personally to claim her infront of the entire Coven, i am prepared to fight for my family, the question is, can you protect her once the truth is exposed? I look foward to seeing my niece at the holidays, and i hope you understand what my claim will mean. She is now under my protection, therefore you no longer have rights to the life she was destined to live. You are welcome to attend as well, but Neem will not be leaving with you, or after the holidays should she wish to stay. Alpha Fiir.' Neem drops back down into her seat. in shock at this new revelation. looking at her father with tears streaming down her eyes she now understands, this news, her close relation to the Fiir alpha, her uncle, she stares at her father with a lost look as he shifts out of her apartments, leaving the letter behind
