The longer we wait the harder it will be to fix this. Im sitting at the breakfast table, the only time Sodo speaks to me is to beg me to contact our kitten. I feel a hand land on y thigh and Sodo retreats back into to recesses of my mind, lately hes been getting weaker and I don’t know whats happening.
“Sosier, did you hear what ive said.” The hand on my thigh squezes me to snap me out of my thoughts.
“darling, your father is asking you about tonights hunt, you weren’t there last night and today “
“I wont be attending.”
I watch as my father makes a disapproving face, and I honestly oculnd bring myself to care, he is the reason we are in this mess. He trapped me with a female in heat, knowing I wouldn’t be able refrain from taking her for long. The only reprieve I have is knowing I didn’t mark her and she did not get pregnant.
“you will attend, you and your mate, “
Sodo comes out for the first time since he saw Neem in our rooms, her face has tormented us, knowing what wed subjected her to for three days before our shame was exposed.
“She is Not my mate.” And he retreats again, pacing and howling inside of me, calling out to our kitten, and all we get from her is darkness. Hes been digging at my sould trying to find our comnnection to her, and hes more than frustrated I haven’t gone to her.
The table is quiet at my outburst. I have nothing against Glendua, that’s her name. the she wolf I took during heat. She had tried to mark me during our time together and thankfully Sodo had jumped in to prevent it.
The hand on my thigh is gone after his outburst. I stand slowly and walk out of the room, not bothering to speak to anyone. After a few minutes I hear footsteps following me.
“ I don’t understand why your wolf soul is acting like this. We are a good match, during my heat, he was so sure we were made for him, Sosier please help me understand what ive done wrong. “
“ You haven’t done anything wrong Glendua, this has my father written all over it. “
“I understand that he initially set us up together, but don’t you thin”
“Listen , I get that you must stay here for the time being, however its been made clear you arent carrying my pups, and now that your heat is over, our time has come to an end.”
Her eyes fill with tears. “ I don’t understand, it thought,”
“Look im sorry you got caught up in my fathers manipulation, however I cannot continue to encourage any relationship with you, if you hadn’t noticed, my wolf isn’t exactly happy about what we did, he isn’t going to stand next to you during the hunt and pretend that we are betrothed. I know that’s why my father wants me there, so he can announce a betrothal I didn’t agree to. If I were to shift, Sodo would probably kill you.”
She lets go of my arm and takes a shocked step back, tears falling from her eyes.
I turn and head to my rooms,not bothering to comfort her.
“SO, I heard news.”
I stop and shut the door behind me, looking at Pachiw with puffy eyes and a red face.
“ oh yea, and what news did you hear. “
“His mother has set him up with a witches mate matcher. Since ive refused his claim, he is being forced to meet with some powerful witch and start the mating process with her,”
At the mention of a powerful witch, Sodo stops clawing at me from the inside and comes to ask his own questions.”
“Do we know who the wicth is?”
I see our sister shiver at hearing Sodo speak through me.
“he didn’t give me a name, only that he is being forced to meet with her, and that his mother over rode her fathers preferences, he apparently only want a warlock for his daughter. Either way, they will be in attendance at the Fiir ball, shes apparently going with a warlock for the first day of feasts as his date, however he told me that he will be ‘crashing’ their date.” She cries out. We left her alone, we left her alone and now she’s being hunted by other males, why are you not taking us to her! Dont make me force you sosier, I will not lose my kitten. “Sosier say something! Tell me what to do” Pachiw pleads.
