CHAPTER 17 - WE WILL FIGHT TOGETHER

Lumina's POV

I woke up beside him, but this time, it's not a mistake. It's our choice. His eyes opened pleasantly, and kissed me on my forehead as he hug me. This morning, I feel so happy.

“Can you get me a coffee? Ms. Raven?”

“Sure, Mr. Fierre.” we both giggled as we stand up. Pinagtimpla ko siya ng kape, but he was thinking something deeply. Of course, it's about my mother.

“Thyrone?”

“Hmm?”

“Here.”

“Oh, thanks.”

“What are you thinking so deeply?”

“Lumina, I want to clean my family's mess.”

“Hmm? What do you mean?”

“I want to make my father repay what he did, not only for your mother, but also for Shaira. We have a strong evidence to send him on jail.”

“But, are you gonna be okay? He's still your father.”

“You're right. But, this is the best I can do, also for his sake. Gusto kong linisin at itama ang mga pagkakamali na ginawa namin. And I want to apologize what I did to you and your family five years ago.”

“I already forgave you, I just realized, na mas mahirap ang pinagdadaanan mo. You lost two persons in your life. How can I still say about what happened when someone was experiencing more pain than me?”

“Thank you, Lumina. Even though my family made you suffer so hard, you are here beside me.”

“Just promise me, that you won't let go of me again.”

“I promise.”

Thyrone's POV

“Oh, paano nga pala si Kierra? 'Diba you announced that you will marry her?”

“Hindi ko talaga siya papakasalan, I just said that to make you run away from me. How about you and Clyde? He said yesterday to me on the bar, that he had feelings for you first, and he met you first.”

“Yeah, I don't want to hurt him dahil napaka bait niya. But..”

“How did you met him in the first place? I didn't know you had a fling with him five years ago.” pang iinis ko sa kaniya.

“It's not a fling! It's one-sided on him. I met him nung nagpapakain ako ng pusa sa tabi ng gate that night. He said ayon I caught his attention.”

“Wow, kinwento mo talaga. Haist sige do'n ka na sa Clyde mo!” nagpanggap ako na nagtatampo, because I thought she will act cute and will say sorry.

“Wow, tinanong mo tapos ngayon magagalit ka? Ibang klase ka rin ha?” pero sinabayan niya yung pagtatampo ko.

“How dare you raise your voice to your boss?!”

“Wala tayo sa trabaho kaya manahimik ka! Umagang umaga inaaway mo ko!”

“Aba.”

“Oh ano?!”

Our morning is filled with fight, but we're both happy, because we're together again.

Pero hanggang sa trabaho may galit pa rin siya sa'kin. Pagpasok pa lang namin ng office halos di niya ko pinapansin, napasama pa yata pagpapanggap ko.

“Hey, are you still mad at me?” hindi niya ko pinapansin.

“Hey, magsalita ka naman. Hmm?” tinalikuran pa ko, so I hug her from the back.

“Let go.”

“Sorry na kasi.”

“Tch, akala ko ba galit ka sa'kin?”

“Ikaw 'tong galit e, oh? Tignan mo yung butas ng ilong mo lumalaki tuloy.” agad niya kong hinampas.

“Hoy hindi ah!”

“HAHAHA oo kaya tignan mo oh parang kamatis. Ganyan ka pala pag galit?”

“Hindi ah!”

Lumina's POV

Habang naghaharutan kami, biglang pumasok sa office si Clyde.

“C-Clyde.”

“Lumina..”

I'm here on the rooftop with Clyde, I guess it's time to say that.. I can't like him back.

“So, you forgave him?”

“Yeah.”

“I didn't know, that you will forgive him after what he did to you. I thought I still have a chance to win you. But, I guess wala na pala.”

“I'm sorry, Clyde. I can't like you back.”

“Don't say sorry Lumina. HAHA pinagmumukha mo naman na sinaktan mo ko ng sobra e.”

“But—”

“This is my feelings, I chose to risk everything, even though sa isang iglap nawala lahat. Don't say sorry, it's not your fault.”

Clyde's POV

Binibiro ko na lang siya, because she looks so tense.

“Thanks for everything, Clyde. You were there when I need someone to lean on, you were there when I bawled out my eyes because of what happened. But, I can't even pay what you did for me.”

“You can. Be friends with me.”

“Hmm?”

“I know, na kayo na ni Thyrone. But I want to stay by your side, even if it's just a friend. Gusto ko, sa oras na nasaktan ka niya, ando'n ako para magcomfort sayo.”

“Clyde.”

“I can heal myself, just act like nothing happened. It's my feelings so I'll take care of it, hmm?”

“Thanks, Clyde.”

“Lagi kang nagt-thanks, I told you to act like nothing happened right?” hinampas ko siya ng mahina to cheer her up.

“Aray ah!”

“HAHAHAHA.”

I chose you, and you chose him. Okay na sa'kin yung nasa tabi kita, that way, Mababantayan kita. Gusto kong nasa tabi kita, ayoko na mangyari ang dati na dahil wala ako, nasaktan ka niya. I will be your friend, I will stay. Be happy with him, and I'll be happy for you.

Thyrone's POV

Habang hinihintay ko sila, biglang pumasok sa office si Kierra.

“Kierra.”

“H-Hey.”

I gave her a coffee, and talked to her.

“So, siya pa rin talaga pinili mo?”

“I'm sorry, Kierra.”

“I guess, she won. Kahit anong gawin ko, she won't let you go. I even used her mother just to make her run away from you. Pero sa sobrang pagmamahal niya, pinatawad ka niya agad-agad.”

“Kierra..” tumulo ang mga luha niya pero agad niyang pinunasan 'yon at ngumiti.

“I'll go to Japan.”

“What?”

“Gusto kong makalimot, if I keep seeing you so happy, Greed will eat me again. I want to move on, without you by my side.”

“But, are you still gonna be.. my friend?”

“Stupid, of course I will. I was your friend first before I developed feelings for you. Gusto ko lang magpaalam, and I'm sorry.. For what I have done.”

“Thank you, Kierra. You stood up as a mother and sister for me, nandyan ka sa mga oras na kailangan kita. You comforted me and made me stop crying. Thank you for everything.”

“Come on, it's not so like you. The Thyrone I know will never say thanks to me.” we both laughed, she stands up and offers her hand to me.

“Still friends?” she asked, without hesitating, I hold her hand.

“Yes.”

Kierra's POV

As I ride the elevator, lahat ng luhang pinipigil ko tumulo, lumabas lahat. I cried so hard. But sa paglabas ko ng elevator, I saw Lumina.

“I lose, you won.”

“Yeah.”

“If you make him cry, I'll come back from Japan and kill you.”

“Don't worry, I won't.”

“I'm sorry, for doing those things.”

“I understand, it's because you love him. You kept that inside for the past years that you're with him and you lose control of it. As a woman who love him, I understand your feelings.”

“So, what are you gonna do now?”

“Thyrone said, he want his dad to pay for what he have done. We will use the video as an evidence.”

“Yeah, that's good.” as soon as the elevator opened, I offered my hand.

“Best wishes to the both of you.”

She smiled.

“Thanks.”

5 YEARS LATER

Thyrone's POV

“My coffee! Where is it?!”

“Here sir!”

“Ms. Raven, napakabagal mo kumilos.”

“I'm sorry sir, inaayos ko po ang schedule niyo.”

“I won't give you a bonus!”

“What? You just gave us bonus last week?”

I kissed her.

“This is my bonus for you.”

“Sir, I must say this is our workplace.”

“So?”

The door suddenly opened.

“Mwommy!!”

“Oh, hello my baby!”

“Mina, how did you—” biglang nagsalita si Kierra.

“Ang harot ng anak niyo, ubos na energy ko.” hingal na hingal.

“Sorry, Kierra.”

“Grabe, I just came back from the Japan at hindi ko akalain na may naghihintay na baby sit work para sa'kin dito.” bigla namang may nagsalita sa likod.

“How can you baby sit their child when you can't even take care of our baby?” Clyde suddenly laughed while holding their baby.

Yes, many things have changed. A year later after my dad go to prison, I proposed to Lumina and created family with her. We didn't even know that Kierra and Clyde will develop feelings for each other while moving on from us, sabay sila pumunta ng Japan and came back married and has a 1 year old baby.

So much have changed, like how our little baby change into a kid.

While we are walking, Lumina suddenly said something to me. I realized that we're on Hope University, and I'm standing on the same place, when I first met her.

“Thyrone, do you remember? 10 years ago, you met the Lumina here who is a nerd and a bully victim.”

“Yeah, and this is where you hit me on the head with a wood.” I chuckled.

“Thyrone!” she hits me.

“Thanks, because you made me happy. You created family with me, and saved me from darkness.”

“I should be the one who say thanks to you, You stopped my suffering, you embraced me and my sins. You forgave me and love me. Thank you, Mrs. Fierre.”

I hugged her.

Because of misfortune things we had in life, we met, we healed each other, and created a new life. They said, if your story starts with tragic and sadness it will always end with someone crying and suffering. But, we proved, that a story can start from sadness, into happiness. You might experience something so hard right now, but like a rain, it will always end with a rainbow. Just don't give up, and learn to forgive those who hurt you. Because by forgiving someone, you can find happiness.

Thyrone's Dad POV

How dare you put me in this jail? I will not forgive you or anyone!
