Chapter 696: He Wants to Steal Mommy

Because of the strong resistance from the two little ones, the family photo was ultimately not taken.

Jessie forcibly took her troublesome son away.

Even so, Enrique was undeterred and shouted loudly to Deanna, "Pretty lady, wait for me, I'll come play with you later."

Hearing this, Deanna looked at the little guy being carried away by Jessie and couldn't help but laugh.

Seeing this, the two little ones pouted.

Chloe, in particular, was extremely jealous, pulling Deanna's hand and sulkily saying, "Mommy, you can't look at him."

Seeing the little girl, who seemed ready to get upset if she didn't agree, Deanna laughed and nodded, "Alright, alright, I won't do it."

Hearing this and seeing that mommy indeed wasn't paying attention to Enrique anymore, the two little ones smiled again.

"Mommy, my brother and I will help you take pictures. You guys stand under the peach tree."

Chloe, not forgetting what they were supposed to do earlier, urged Deanna and Lance.

Lance and Deanna exchanged a glance and didn't refuse the goodwill of the two little ones, holding hands as they walked to a peach tree in full bloom.

With a click, a dreamy and picturesque photo was captured by the camera.

Gregory and Chloe looked at the photo and couldn't help but exclaim, "Daddy and mommy look so beautiful."

After that, they got more enthusiastic and took many more pictures of Deanna and Lance.

It wasn't until the teacher notified them to leave that the two little ones reluctantly put away the camera.

Back on the bus, the two little ones, as if presenting a treasure, handed the camera over, "Mommy, look, we took many beautiful photos of you and daddy. When we get back, we'll print them out and hang them at home, okay?"

"Okay, whatever you say."

Deanna, amused, nodded and then started checking the photos on the camera.

Looking at the matched couple in the photos, her eyes were filled with smiles.

Lance, sensing her good mood, also had a faint smile on his lips.

The convoy hadn't driven for long before stopping again.

This time, it was because they had arrived at their picnic destination.

As soon as she got off the bus, Deanna was amazed by the vast expanse of green fields before her eyes.

Not far away, quaint and charming courtyards were scattered around, with white smoke curling in the air, creating a picturesque scene like a vividly colored ink painting.

Others were also stunned by the scenery.

Especially some of those who had always lived in the city, seeing such ethereal scenery, felt as if their souls had been cleansed.

While everyone was admiring the view, a spoiling voice sounded behind Deanna and her group.

"Pretty lady, I've come to find you."

Enrique ran happily to Deanna.

Behind him was the embarrassed Jessie.

Jessie looked at her infatuated son and wanted to cover her face, wishing to deny that this son was hers.

Standing in front of Deanna and Lance, she said awkwardly, "Mr. Mercer, Mrs. Mercer, this child has been spoiled by his father. I can't control him, I'm sorry for the trouble."

Lance gave her a cold glance but didn't say anything.

Because Lance could tell who was intentionally approaching them and who was not.

And this woman clearly wasn't intentionally approaching them.

Thinking this, Lance looked at the little boy clinging to his fiancée, feeling inexplicably annoyed.

Deanna had no idea what Lance was thinking.

She looked down at the little guy beside her, and it was clear that he purely liked her. And Mrs. Kerr's eyes were also clear and straightforward, without any scheming to get close to them. So, she smiled and said, "It's okay. Since the little guy likes to be with us, why not spend the next few days together?"

The reason she said this was, firstly, she didn't want to disappoint a child's pure affection. Secondly, she wanted to find playmates for her two little ones.

Almost as soon as Deanna finished speaking, two different voices rang out.

The two little ones protested, "We don't want to play with him, he wants to steal mommy!"

Enrique, on the other hand, was overjoyed, jumping up and down in front of Deanna, saying, "I knew you were the best, pretty lady."

After saying that, he ignored the unfriendly expressions of the two little ones and continued, "From now on, I will be your brother, and I will protect you."

"I have a brother; I don't need you to protect me!"

Chloe wrinkled her nose in rebuttal, then pulled on Deanna, acting spoiled, "Mommy, we don't want to play with him, okay?"

Gregory didn't say anything, but his look at Deanna was the same as Chloe's.

Deanna looked at them, feeling both amused and helpless.

But she bent down and gently persuaded, "You shouldn't talk like that. It will hurt little Enrique's feelings. Besides, I hope you can all play together. You don't have many friends usually, and I hope you can have friends of your own, to share your joys and sorrows."

Hearing this, the two little ones knew it was impossible to change their mommy's mind.

They exchanged a glance, then turned their eyes back to Enrique.
