Two days later, it was time for the kindergarten outing.
Lance and Deanna were woken up early by their excited children.
"Mommy, Daddy, wake up."
"We know."
Hearing the calls from outside the door, Deanna and Lance exchanged a helpless glance.
But they quickly got up and got ready.
A few minutes later, they were dressed and ready to leave, only to find the children still waiting at the door, making them smile wryly.
The children immediately ran up to them and urged, "Daddy, Mommy, let's go have breakfast. After breakfast, we need to go to school to meet up. If we're late, we won't get good seats."
Hearing this, Lance wanted to say they didn't actually need to leave with the school group.
But seeing how happy the children were, he decided not to say anything.
While the family was having breakfast, Lance's phone rang. It was Samantha calling.
"Lance, I heard the kindergarten is having a three-day, two-night spring outing. You and Deanna are usually so busy; you probably don't have much time. Your dad and I are ready and will come over to pick up Gregory and Chloe."
Lance didn't know how to respond for a moment.
He looked at the children and decided to let them answer. "Your grandparents said they want to go on the outing with you. What do you say?"
The children looked troubled for a moment but quickly made a decision.
"Grandpa, Grandma, we want to go with Daddy and Mommy this time. Next time we go on an outing, we'll go with you, okay?"
Chloe spoke sweetly into Lance's phone.
Seeing this, Lance put the call on speaker.
"If Chloe wants Daddy and Mommy to go, then Grandma and Grandpa won't come. But Chloe, remember your promise to Grandma. Next time, let Grandma go with you."
Samantha's loving voice came through the phone, and she reminded Deanna, "Deanna, remember to bring extra clothes for Gregory and Chloe. Even though it's spring now, the temperature difference between morning and evening is still significant."
Deanna smiled and replied, "I know. Don't worry, Samantha."
"I trust you to take care of them. Also, take lots of photos of Gregory and Chloe when you get to the scenic area. Logan and I are looking forward to seeing them."
Samantha continued to give a lot of instructions.
Deanna responded to each one.
Half an hour later, after finishing breakfast, they set off for the kindergarten.
When they arrived, many cars were already parked there, looking like a luxury car parade.
The parents got out of the car with their children and were about to ask the teachers when they would leave when the children broke free from their hold and ran off after saying a quick goodbye.
"Daddy, Mommy, go find the teacher. I see my friends."
"I'm going to find my friends too. See you later, Daddy and Mommy."
Watching their children run off into the distance, Lance and Deanna realized why they insisted on leaving with the school group-it was to be with their friends.
They exchanged a look and saw the same amused expression in each other's eyes.
Finally, Lance took Deanna's hand and laughed. "Let's go ask the teachers when we're leaving."
Deanna nodded and followed him to find the teachers.
Along the way, many parents recognized them and wanted to chat, but Lance's gaze stopped them.
Today was a school outing; he didn't want it to turn into a business meeting.
Soon, they found the homeroom teacher who was checking attendance and learned that they would leave in half an hour. The couple didn't disturb the teacher any further and walked to an empty spot where they stood side by side, watching their children play in the crowd.
The destination of the spring outing was a natural scenic area fifty kilometers away from Cloudmere.
The area featured not only beautiful mountains and rivers but also rustic courtyard houses.
To enter the scenic area, one had to pass through a long path lined with peach trees in full bloom.
Seeing the blooming peach blossoms ahead, parents and students couldn't help but stop their cars and get out to take pictures of the peach forest.
"Wow, Mommy, this place is so beautiful."
Chloe immediately fell in love with the peach blossom forest.
Gregory didn't say anything, but his expression clearly showed his feelings.
Seeing how happy his children were, Lance came over with a camera. "Pick a peach tree you like, and I'll take your picture."
"Okay! Mommy should join us too!"
The children waved at Deanna.
Deanna naturally wouldn't refuse and walked over with a smile.
The three of them stood under a peach tree, their outstanding looks instantly stunning many people around them.
Children have the purest feelings.
When they see something beautiful, they can't help but be drawn to it and like it.
"Gregory, Chloe, your mommy is so pretty-prettier than any TV star. Can I take a picture with her?"
