"Stole your results, what do you mean by that?"
Emily looked over in shock.
Mia was also surprised and looked at Garrett with concern.
Garrett didn't hide anything and gritted his teeth. "You know about Vortex Technology. Deanna took it from me. The product they launched today was actually developed by my team. But due to a lack of funds, it was shelved. When Kamden left Vortex Technology, he didn't take the product with him, and Deanna found it."
He concealed the fact that it was his own oversight that led to such a valuable product being shelved.
Even so, Emily and Mia were furious upon hearing this.
After all, it was a product worth billions. They would rather destroy it than let Deanna have it.
"How dare Deanna?"
"Let's sue Deanna for theft!"
The mother and daughter spoke in unison.
Garrett lifted his eyelids and looked at them. "Do you think we can win with Lance involved?"
This statement silenced the mother and daughter.
But Emily was unwilling to give up and said angrily, "Are we just going to let Deanna profit from our stuff?"
"Of course not!"
Garrett immediately refuted, then fell silent for a few seconds before gritting his teeth. "With Lance involved, we need to plan carefully to get the product back."
Hearing this, Emily felt her father was clearly afraid of Lance.
Moreover, she couldn't stand Deanna flaunting her success any longer.
With this thought, an idea suddenly came to her mind.
"Dad, I don't think we need to complicate things. You just said that the product was developed by our team. We should just go directly to Deanna and ask for it back. It's ours to begin with."
"It's not as simple as you think. Mercer Group invested in this project. Do you think they will let go of such a valuable asset?" Garrett immediately dismissed Emily's idea.
Seeing this, Emily bit her lip in anger.
She wasn't angry at Garrett for rejecting her idea but rather blamed Lance.
She couldn't understand what such an outstanding man saw in Deanna. Was it just because she gave him two children?
And Deanna, just because she had Mercer Group backing her, what was she so proud of? Without Mercer Group, she was nothing.
With this thought, another idea came to Emily's mind.
"If we can't get the product back, why don't we get some benefits from Deanna? That product is worth billions. Even if it's still a prototype, it's our team's work. At least they should pay us for it."
"Garrett, I think Emily's idea is good. We don't need Deanna to return the product, but since they want to develop it, they should at least pay us or give us something of equal value."
Mia quickly supported Emily's idea, fearing Garrett would reject it again.
To their surprise, Garrett was tempted by the suggestion.
He felt Emily was right. The product was developed by his team. Even if it was a prototype, it belonged to Jones Group. While he might not take the product back out of respect for Mercer Group, they should still pay what is due!

The next morning, Deanna had just arrived at the office when her assistant knocked and entered.
Standing in the middle of the room, the assistant respectfully said, "Chairman, there's someone downstairs claiming to be your father who wants to see you."
"I won't see him."
Deanna refused without a second thought.
Although she didn't know why Garrett was here, based on his previous visits, it wouldn't be for anything good.
The assistant nodded and went back downstairs.
"I'm sorry, sir. Our chairman won't see you."
"She has to see me! Get out of my way; I'm going up to see her!"
Garrett was furious when he heard Deanna refused to see him. He pushed past the assistant and headed upstairs.
The assistant didn't dare let him go up and called security.
One wanted to break through; the other wanted to stop him. The scene quickly became chaotic.
Deanna received news of the commotion downstairs and her face darkened.
She hadn't expected Garrett to disregard his image and cause trouble at her company.
After some thought, she agreed to let him up.
As soon as Garrett entered, he saw Deanna sitting at her desk, looking competent and poised. For a moment, he was dazed.
In that brief moment, he almost thought he saw Olivia in front of him.
But he quickly snapped out of it, his eyes filled with disdain for Deanna.
This wretched girl was just as disgusting as her mother.
Deanna didn't know what Garrett was thinking but didn't miss the hatred in his eyes.
She narrowed her eyes and coldly asked, "I heard you insisted on seeing me. What do you want?"
