Later, after dinner, the two little ones were eager to explore the places their dad used to play as a child.
Unfortunately, they couldn't go as Deanna insisted on a nap.
Having spent the morning climbing mountains and picking fruits, Deanna worried about their exhaustion and wanted them to rest before playing again.
After about an hour and a half of sleep, the family set off for the stream halfway up the mountain, led by Lance.
"Give me your hand, be careful."
Lance stood at the slope, extending his hand to Deanna, cautioning her.
Although the path was somewhat maintained, it was still steep due to the terrain.
After walking cautiously for a while, the view suddenly opened up.
"Wow, Daddy, Mommy, it's so beautiful here."
The two little ones couldn't help but exclaim at the scenery.
On both sides of the path were green bamboo trees, with a stream about four or five meters wide in the middle. A stone arch bridge spanned the stream, creating a picturesque scene.
Deanna instantly fell in love with the place.
Suddenly, Chloe pointed at the stream and shouted, "Fish! Daddy, Mommy, I see fish!"
"There really are fish."
Deanna watched in surprise as the fish swam with the current.
She was astonished because the stream was shallow, and she didn't expect to see any fish.
Noticing her expression, Lance laughed, "What? You don't believe what I said?"
"It's not that, just that the water seems too shallow."
Deanna shook her head, indicating she didn't doubt Lance's words.
Lance didn't mind and laughed, "The water is indeed much shallower now. I remember when I was a kid, the water level was at least up to here."
While the adults chatted, the two little ones were eager to play.
Especially as they watched fish swim by, they wanted to play in the stream.
"Daddy, let's catch fish." Chloe tugged at Lance, pleading.
Gregory didn't say anything but looked at Lance expectantly.
Seeing this, Lance couldn't refuse and agreed.
He led the two children, took off their shoes and socks, and walked into the stream.
Deanna initially didn't want to join but couldn't resist the children's pleas and followed them into the water.
The family intercepted and caught fish in the stream, having a great time.
"Daddy, quick! The fish is getting away, block it!"
"The fish is coming my way. What should I do? Brother, come help me."
"Mommy, I caught a fish!" Gregory excitedly raised his hands.
Although he looked a bit disheveled at that moment, his smile was bright and cheerful.
Seeing this, Deanna smiled too and praised him, "Gregory is amazing."
Just as she finished speaking, the fish wriggled out of Gregory's hands and splashed back into the water, quickly disappearing from sight.
"Oh no, the fish got away."
Chloe looked disappointed.
Gregory's expression turned sheepish. Seeing his sister's pout, he quickly comforted her, "Chloe, don't cry. I'll catch another one for you, even bigger than the last one."
"I want three. One for Daddy, one for me, and one for Mommy."
Chloe counted on her fingers.
Gregory didn't feel troubled and confidently promised, "Chloe, wait here. I'll catch three fish for you."
With that said, he energetically resumed catching fish.
For a while, the bamboo forest echoed with the children's excited voices.
By noon, the family had caught over ten plump fish.
However, they looked quite disheveled as they were all soaked from a water fight that broke out while catching fish.
To prevent the children from catching a cold, Deanna and Lance hurriedly took them down the mountain.
Back at the estate, the butler had already prepared ginger soup. Given their strong constitution, neither of the children fell ill.
On their last day of the weekend, Lance took Deanna and the children around the estate for more fun.
By evening, they took a helicopter back to Cloudmere.
It was already midnight when they arrived.
To avoid disturbing Grandma, they didn't return to the estate immediately but landed at Hencard Villa where Lance used to live.
The next day, perhaps due to exhaustion from playing over the past two days, the whole family overslept.
"Oh no! Gregory and Chloe are late for school!"
Deanna woke up and saw it was already nine o'clock. She hurriedly got out of bed.
Lance chuckled beside her, "If they're late, so be it. Just call in sick. No need to rush."
"That's not right. They can have enough fun, but they shouldn't miss school. Don't spoil them so much."
Deanna disagreed and urged Lance to get up as well.
Naturally, Lance listened to Deanna.
Later that morning, although much later than usual, Deanna still sent the children to kindergarten.
