Hearing this, Deanna picked up the file on the table and began to look through it. The two little ones leaned in closer.
As the design sketches were revealed, the living room filled with their exclamations of admiration.
"Wow, so beautiful."
"Grandaunt, are these dresses designed for Mommy?"
Chloe looked over eagerly, her eyes full of longing.
After all, no little girl could resist a beautiful dress.
Amy couldn't help but pinch her chubby cheeks and smiled, "Don't worry, your little dresses are here too, at the back."
"Do I have one too? Mommy, help me find my dress."
The little girl excitedly looked at Deanna.
Deanna naturally wouldn't refuse and started looking through the drafts in her hands.
Soon, she found the little girl's dress in the later pages, along with Gregory's little suit, each piece exquisitely designed.
"Wow, such a beautiful dress. I love it!"
Chloe jumped up and down with joy.
She then grabbed Gregory's hand and said excitedly, "Brother's clothes are also so nice. Grandaunt is amazing to design so many beautiful dresses."
"Thank you, Grandaunt."
Gregory smiled shyly and thanked Amy.
Unlike Chloe, he was more reserved.
Amy waved her hand, "We're all family; no need to be say thanks. As long as you like them."
She then looked at Deanna and asked, "What did Anna say? Are there any modifications needed? If not, I'll have my studio start making them."
"Auntie designed them perfectly; I like them very much," Deanna said gratefully.
It was then that she realized something was off. "Auntie, did you say all these designs will be made into actual dresses?"
"That's right." Amy nodded in response.
Deanna was surprised. "Isn't that too many? I can't wear that many."
As she finished speaking, Lance's voice came from above them.
"What's too many?"
Lance asked as he walked down the stairs.
It was then that he saw Amy sitting on the sofa and greeted her, "Auntie, when did you arrive?"
"I've been here for a while."
Amy smiled and looked over, concerned. "Have you rested well? I heard you've been working overtime every day lately."
Lance nodded and then sat down next to Deanna.
The two little ones sweetly called out to him, "Daddy."
Deanna looked at him with concern and asked, "Are you hungry? Grandma had someone keep breakfast warm for you in the kitchen."
"Not hungry for now."
Lance shook his head lightly and his gaze fell on the design drafts in Deanna's hands. He smiled and said, "Auntie designed so many sketches so quickly?"
Hearing this, Amy couldn't help but roll her eyes and said irritably, "How could I not be quick? Someone urged me to finish them three times a day."
Lance naturally caught the complaint but pretended not to hear it.
He looked up at Deanna and asked, "Have you seen these designs? What do you think?"
"Auntie designed them beautifully; I love them all."
Deanna sweetly replied to Lance.
Lance nodded and smiled. "As long as you like them. So these are the dresses then. When will they all be ready?"
He directed his last question to Amy.
Amy calculated the time and answered, "At least half a month."
"I won't take too long." Lance found no issue with it and confirmed the plan.
Meanwhile, news about the Mercer family planning a wedding spread quickly in Cloudmere.
Emily heard the news and was almost driven mad with jealousy.
She didn't want to see Deanna living better than herself.
But no matter how angry she was, she couldn't stop Deanna from marrying into the Mercer family.
On the other hand, Garrett received the news and was ecstatic.
"This is great! We're becoming in-laws with the Mercer family. The company's problems can be solved now."
He rubbed his hands together happily and paced back and forth in the living room.
Once Deanna and Lance were successfully engaged, he would be Lance's father-in-law in name. With that alone, who in the business world wouldn't give him face?
Mia saw his reaction and knew exactly what he was thinking. Her face darkened slightly, and a calculating glint flashed in her eyes.
Like Emily, she didn't want to see Deanna doing well either.
But she also knew that this matter couldn't be changed.
Even so, she had ways to make Deanna uncomfortable.
Thinking this, she coldly said to Garrett who was still excited, "Don't forget that five years ago you kicked Deanna out. You've asked her for help many times since then, but she ignored you. Now that she's marrying into the Mercer family with their full support behind her, she probably won't listen to you even more."
"She dares! I'm her biological father; she dares not acknowledge me," Garrett shouted angrily.
Mia sneered inwardly but didn't show it on her face. She continued to stoke the fire, "What's the use of shouting at me? After all these times, don't you see reality? Deanna won't acknowledge you."
