Chapter 564: The Master of Lies

Hearing this, the two little ones sheepishly stuck out their tongues.

They seemed to have neglected Mommy's friend and quickly corrected themselves, "Sam, this is Mommy's friend."

As soon as these words were spoken, Leticia also quickly curled the corners of her lips and politely greeted Sam.

"Hello, I am from the Jando Walsh family, my name is Leticia, I am here to see Deanna."

However, although she masked her malice well and appeared polite, her little tricks were nothing in front of the experienced Sam.

What annoyed Sam the most was that this woman used Master Gregory and Miss Chloe to gain entry into the estate.

After all, if this woman really was the missus's friend, the missus wouldn't have gone out with Lance, clearly indicating that this woman was lying.

Even so, Sam did not intend to alarm this woman.

He wanted to see what she was up to.

"So it is, Miss Walsh, please come in."

After saying this, Sam made a gesture of invitation and motioned for Leticia to follow him.

Leticia smiled, nodded, changed her shoes, and followed him.

As for the two little ones, they went upstairs to put away their backpacks.

After putting away their backpacks, they thought of the beautiful aunt downstairs and picked up their phone watches to call Mommy.

Soon, Deanna's voice came through the phone, "Gregory and Chloe, what's up?"

"Mommy, a beautiful auntie is looking for you, do you want to come back?" Chloe spoke in a sweet voice into the phone watch.

Deanna was a bit puzzled by this, "What beautiful auntie?"

"She said she is from the Jando Walsh family, named Leticia."

Gregory added from the side.

Upon hearing this, there was a brief silence on the other end of the phone.

Then Deanna's voice turned somewhat cold, "Mommy knows. I'm coming back now. Don't stay alone with that woman until I return, understand?"

She said this because Deanna did not know what Leticia was doing at their home but thinking of that woman's ruthless nature, she couldn't help worrying about the children getting hurt.

Hearing this, the two little ones realized something was amiss.

They might have let someone who was at odds with Mommy into the house.

However, before they could ask further, Deanna on the other end had already hung up.

Deanna put down her phone with a very grim expression.

She felt that Leticia's behavior was utterly unreasonable.

Men weren't extinct in this world; why was this woman so fixated on Lance and even shamelessly trying to sabotage her relationship with Lance?

No matter how angry Deanna felt inside, it was crucial to go back now to prevent Leticia from harming the children.

But as she looked up at Lance not far away, discussing work with a partner, she hesitated for a moment and decided not to disturb Lance over such a trivial matter.

She sent Lance a message on her phone and then left the venue.

About twenty minutes later, Deanna appeared at the estate dressed in a beautiful gown.

Sam received the message and hurriedly came out from the living room to meet her, his expression somewhat strange as he said, "Missus, did you come back because of your friend?"

"She's not my friend," Deanna denied without a second thought.

Hearing this, Sam was momentarily stunned but then regained his composure and frowned, "If she's not your friend, that explains it."

With that said, Deanna knew that Leticia must have been up to no good at home.

Thinking this, she dangerously narrowed her eyes and said coldly, "What did that woman do?"

"That lady sneaked upstairs while we weren't looking and tried to enter the young master's study. Fortunately, she was discovered by one of the servants," Sam reported truthfully.

Deanna's face darkened upon hearing this.

At that moment, both of them entered the living room.

Upon entering, Deanna saw this scene:

Not far away, Leticia sat on a three-seater sofa with Chloe and Gregory sitting on either side of her.

Both children looked very serious and stared unblinkingly at Leticia.

Leticia herself was feeling guilty and also a bit regretful.

Despite being so careful, how could she still have been discovered?

The servants in Deanna's house were really idle.

Deanna withdrew her gaze and cleared her throat to signal her return.

Hearing her voice, the serious faces of the two little ones immediately broke into radiant smiles.

"Mommy, you're back."

As they spoke, the two little ones ran towards Deanna from either side with their short legs.

Deanna hugged them; her previously somber face now showed a faint smile.

However, before she could say anything further, she heard Gregory whispering in her ear, "Mommy, while you were away, that auntie kept talking to us and asking who our father is. She even tried to sneak into Daddy's study when we weren't looking."

"That auntie also lied to us. She said she was your friend but she actually lied to us. She's a liar," Chloe added indignantly.
