Chapter 307: Mommy and Uncle Got Married

As Lance finished his explanation, the shooting resumed.

This time, Deanna followed Lance's suggestion, imagining him as her future husband, the one she loved. The result was surprisingly good.

The two little ones watched the scene of the two of them gazing at each other with deep affection, feeling both excited and thrilled. Consequently, their flower-throwing actions became even more vigorous.

Under the rain of petals, Deanna and Lance gazed at each other from afar, their eyes filled with such deep emotion that it seemed to make the air around them sweet.

The surrounding staff, seeing this scene, were also charmed.

"Oh my gosh, they are too sweet."

"They are such a perfect match, I almost wish they would get married on the spot!"

"I'm here to work, why do I have to see such a loving couple as a single person!"

Edward didn't hear the others' comments, but he was very satisfied with the current state of Deanna and Lance's shoot.

With a wave of his hand, he announced, "Prepare for the next scene, the officiant, and the wedding rings ready."

As his words fell, the actor playing the officiant immediately took his position.

The other staff members also brought the prepared wedding rings and handed them to the two little flower children.

Soon, the second take began.

The officiant looked at Deanna and Lance solemnly and began his speech, "Do you take this lady to be your wife, for riches or poor, in good health and in sickness till death do you part?"

"I do."

Lance's deep, magnetic voice came from his throat.

Hearing this, Deanna, even though she knew it was fake, still felt her heart skip a beat.

At this moment, the officiant's voice sounded again.

"Do you take this man to be your husband, for riches or poor, in good health and in sickness till death do you part?"

"I do." Deanna forced herself to stay calm.

The officiant nodded, smiling as he announced, "Great, now you may exchange rings."

Hearing this, the two little ones immediately ran over with the wedding rings, their eyes sparkling as they looked at Deanna and Lance.

As the rings were truly placed on their fingers, Deanna suddenly had an illusion, feeling as if she had really married Lance.

The same feeling spread in Lance's heart when Deanna put the ring on him.

However, this thought did not repel them; instead, it brought a faint sense of anticipation.

Just as the two were lost in thought, Edward's disruptive voice sounded.

"Cut, that's good, perfect. Next, we'll shoot the scene of you standing together as a happy family."

With the conclusion of the last scene of the wedding sequence, the first scene came to an end.

Deanna let out a long sigh of relief and carefully walked off the set, lifting her skirt.

As she took a step, she was almost startled into tripping by her daughter's innocent words.

"Daddy, can you hold me?"

Chloe happily came to Lance, reaching out her hands to act cute.

Lance, seemingly not hearing the little girl's mistaken address, smiled warmly, "Sure, I'll hold you."

When Deanna turned back, she saw the loving interaction between the two, and a strange feeling surged in her heart again.

She frowned, suppressing the odd feeling, and looked at Chloe.

Although it was a bit cruel, she didn't want the two little ones to misunderstand and be heartbroken in the future.

"Chloe, get down from Uncle's arms. You're heavy, and it will tire Uncle out. Also, you can't call him Daddy."

Unexpectedly, as soon as she said this, Lance smiled and supported Chloe, saying, "It's okay, Chloe isn't heavy at all. As for the address, it doesn't matter. Kids will naturally want a daddy."

In fact, Lance wanted to say that he was indeed the father of the two children, and calling him Daddy was correct.

But he didn't dare to say it out loud, fearing Deanna wouldn't be able to accept it.

Chloe also nodded in agreement, "Daddy is right, and Mommy just married Uncle and exchanged rings. So Uncle is Chloe's Daddy now."

"..."

Deanna suddenly felt a bit amused and helpless.

It seemed the little girl had taken the scene just now as real.

Thinking of this, she patiently explained to the little girl, "Mommy didn't marry Uncle. We were just shooting a commercial. Do you understand? It's like the shows you watch on TV, where the actors perform a story."

Hearing this, the little girl immediately deflated.

Lance, watching, couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt.

After thinking for a moment, he said, "Since we are pretending to be a couple for the commercial today, adding a pretend father isn't a big deal."

Seeing that he took the initiative to say this, Deanna couldn't argue and finally agreed.

"Alright, just for today. Tomorrow it must go back to normal."

"Great, today I have Daddy again."

Chloe happily hugged Lance and began to act cute.

Gregory, watching from the side, was very envious.

Seeing this, Lance reached out his hand to the little guy, "Do you want Daddy to hold you too?"

"No way."

Despite his words, Gregory's body honestly walked over.

Lance chuckled, scooping him up with one big hand.

Seeing the man holding a child in each arm, Deanna couldn't quite describe her feelings. There was joy, but also a sense of melancholy.

Unbeknownst to them, this scene was captured by a photographer not far away.
